Love it here, home cooking, and home like atmosphere

Super fast service sit down seating easy to see from the street the help this extremely friendly and courteous I had sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast absolutely delicious

Favorite Sunday Breakfast Date Day place in Madison currently. The waitress has given us the choice to have the same booth each time so far. Breakfast each time has had more food than I could finish that is super tasty and comes quickly, and I eat the most at a breakfast meal. The staff always has been attentive to if our drinks were low and refill them. They always clear plates and let us sit and chat for a while, which is getting really rare to be allowed to do too.

Always delicious, home cooked food, whether breakfast or lunch. Great atmosphere and the staff are always fun and friendly.

Loud mouth customer at the counter. Very loud and undesirable . Food was good, but that's the second time the loudmouth was in there, so not going back. He's all you can hear. Ruined my experience for the last time

We came in at 6 AM to get breakfast while picking up a load on North Perry, and they weren't even open. What kind of a diner isn't open at 6 AM or sooner?

Let me start this off by saying that I have been here before, and the service and food was great.

However today, my 3 friends and I got seated, our drinks arrived quickly, and that was the end of our service. We sat for about 25 minutes without anyone acknowledging us, so I went up to the hostess and told her politely that I didnt want to be rude, but we had sat for a while without anyone taking our order. She kindly said she would take care of it and I returned to my table. Another 10-15 minutes went by, and no one came. We decided to leave, and went to pay for our drinks before we left. The servers were very confused because there was no ticket, and then continued to argue about who was supposed to take our table. They voided our drinks and we headed for Mary's Diner. Sitting here enjoying my strawberry milkshake with exceptional service while I write this review.

Excellent food and service and great prices !! The breakfast omelet I had was the best- home-fries were outstanding !! I urge all Madison area people to give this place a try -

We were leery at first because it looks like an older restaurant from the outside BUT the inside is clean and decorated very nicely. The staff is so friendly and the food is priced right, delicious and the portion sizes are very generous

For this over priced food you get...Terrible service we waited over 30 minutes for food and all the food was cold..bacon looked like it was cooked yesterday. Ice cold sausage and gravy.

Pricing good, food good, service good. Be able to add your bill up and check the total against what they come up with.

the place has decent food, but 2 things that get me! The flies and the very old generation that blows their noses and hacks away during their meals, its just rude and spoils my appetite. I promise you if you go there you will see exactly what I mean.

The food I had was from gfs which means I can make it at home....better. it was so greasy I rolled my food in the napkin to soak off the grease. It helped but she upset my stomach. The glasses are small and the pop tasted flat. However all the other people in my party were ok with their meals.

Let's be real....

$3.99 for a hot dog.
$7.99 for a mediocre "chef's salad"....but hey, I got rock hard tomatos, a piece of bone and a piece of plastic in the salad for no extra charge.

Food was very good but the service was unbelievably slow & the man cashing us out was down right rude/mean. Stay away unless you like to be treated terrible & spend 2 hours there for a simple breakfast

Great service and super busy on weekend mornings. Food still comes out super fast and waitresses know what they are doing.
Only complaint, the seats closest to door get super cold in winter. Be thoughtful when you hold it open for someone but wait till they get close :)

It is a very nice family restaurant to go eat everybody is kind and your waitress comes around and she make sure you have your coffee and if you need anything else

been eating here for years, i stop in after work and sit at the counter or i come in with my family and sit in the dining room (bigger inside than it looks) Great food, never had an issue with it and great staff, always friendly and attentive. great prices too!

It maybe a small place here in Madison but this place has great worker very nice and they have good food I would recommend this place to anyone!! You will not come out mad I think.

Excellent food,service and prices. Blueberry pancakes really good as is their spaghetti.

The Breakfast and the Service is fabulous. I order the Corned Beef Hash, eggs and toast 2-3 times a week. My Grandson loves it also. The Cooks really know how to cook eggs. (NOT SCORCHED)

We have been a regular here for over 20 years. The staff treats everyone like they are family. The food is great and the price is always reasonable.

Horrible service. 4 of us waited over a half hour and noone came to take our order, even after asking the staff. When we decided to leave we told the hostess and the waitress tried arguing it, the place wasn't very crowded either.

Pretty cool little roadside diner. Very friendly, quick and reasonably priced. I would stop here again if I was passing through.

Best omelets around. Fast, friendly, inexpensive and familiar. We go almost every weekend.

Mine and my wife's breakfast were delicious and reasonably priced. This will be one of my stops next time I'm in Madison.
