Super nice Cabernet. Got four bottles and had a lovely dinner party. Cin Cin!
We love this winery. They have great tasting spaces, indoors and outside and a wine cave as well. Their red wine is fantastic.
Booked an appointment and received a wonderful, casual, informative tasting experience with Jon (a very knowledgeable and gracious host)! I am familiar with their sister winery Archery Summit in Oregon and had been refereed to Pine Ridge while visiting Napa. Jon made the experience memorable, guiding us through the wines, the history and the caves! Wow. Thanks Pine Ridge Team for a great tasting.
I honestly did not notice this place until my Wife was screaming about how we passed a Winery that makes her best friends favorite wine.
We walk up dancing to the greek music playing outside and into a tasting room that looked into one of the many caves they use to store their barrels. Beautiful. The people are very friendly. This is where we find out that all the wines they let us taste come from Napa Grapes and my wife's bestie enjoys a wine that they make from grapes grown near Sacramento. Oops.
Oh well, we are sending her a bottle of the good stuff so she can see the difference a valley can make.
When you come, take a walk around the educational vineyard set up to help explain the growing process. It is impressive how labor intensive their passion for good wine is.
Unbelievable award-winning Cabernets. Just really incredible so far. This is the real deal.
Arrived around 3:45 today, Sunday. Tasting room was quiet, parking lot empty. Was hoping to introduce my step sister to really great reds. Tess was awesome and got us started on a tasting. Jose took over, poured a Merlot then disappeared. 15 minutes later no show, so we left. Sad thing, I'm in the industry and got the cold from Pine Ridge. Not looking good.
This was a great experience with my entire family. We took a trip from NJ to Nappa and we just loved this winery.
Absolutely one of the best wineries I've been to! Service was great, wine is exceptional!
After being seated we were ignored for 20 minutes. Other costumers who were seated after us were serviced. We left. Too bad we were in a buying mood.
I am a club member here and these folks know how to run a winery. The wines speak for themselves, the staff here is just the icing on the cake. Try it.
Beautiful place and tasty wines. I recommend to delight them in the beautiful garden.
Amazing reds! Our wine guide was extremely friendly and knowledgable. Wine was a bit too expensive for my wallet however.
Outstanding cave and barrel tasting, which ends in a cool experience at a private table in the cave. Delicious wines
Great wines and Dave was such a great host. Very warm and welcoming. Very happy with the tasting experience
Gorgeous location, beautiful presentation, nice pairings. Absolutely in love with this quality wine. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM when i get my shipment my mouth starts to water. REALLY. I think it's some of the best wine I have ever had.
Great staff (Chris, Jose and Lisa) and fantastic wine. Thanks Chris!
Great experience at our first visit here. Excellent wine and a well versed staff. Will definitely be back.
The wine is great but the Wine Club is a rip off. Tried to cancel my wine shipment in advance as I was traveling in Europe and they charged and shipped my order regardless charging me shipping and return fees.
Staff can get a little to technical on the tour. If you just want to taste, don't bother with the tour since it will chill your buzz.
Excellent winery offering several 95+ Point Robert Parker rated wines for less than $150...
AMAZING!!!! Jon is a fantastic host and tour guide!!!! We will be back. Thank you again Jon. Jeanie Lee is an amazing club member that introduced us.
Reserved a tasting in advance, knew very little about the vineyard other than what was written by others online. Had a very pleasant experience with our host who was on-call "retired". He also walked us back through the cave briefly although that was not officially included. The private dining / room in the back of the cave is a really awesome space and I need to find some excuse one day to attend or host an event there. Ended up buying two bottles from the tasting before we left as they were only sold there.
Nice stop, allows public tastings, good variety of wines.
One of the more worthwhile pricey tastings. The wines were excellent. We stopped in on a busy weekend without an appointment and the friendly staff squeezed us in and answered all our questions.
We've been on numerous tours and tasting here and Jon is consistently fantastic. I'd recommend this winery to anyone going into Napa.
Good wines and located near downtown so it's easy to get to. Recommend bringing a few snacks to eat on one of the tables while you enjoy the tastings.
Cute al fresco seating but is reserved "for members" and the wiener was pretty but small compared to Clos du Vol. Tastings were $35 for 5 - very pricey!
Delicious Cabernets and a nice tasting environment. Highly recommend enjoying the estate tasting on the Patio. Terry spent a lot of extra time with us and acquainted us with the area. Wonder
Excellent tour. They are really helping to educate people on the process of growing grapes and making wine. This is the way Napa used to be when I first started going - 20 years ago - before the fake castles and bus loads of people who just want to get drunk. First time I have ever had the chance to do a barrel tasting as well.
They are not fully organic, but they do practice sustainable viticulture. Really good wines and nice people. Great small production winery.
Pine Ridge is my go to wine. Marvelous flavor and price. Thank you
Absolutely beautiful setting on the Silverado Trail overlooking a mountain ridge on the Stag's Leap appellation!!!
Great tasting, they we're welcoming even though we didn't have a reservation
The wines were delicious. The estate was gorgeous and the hospitality was marginal... jk... Jose was the best! Definitely worth going to as the experience does not disappoint.
Excellent. Friendly, knowledable server. Excellent wines
$40 per person tastings for 5 wines. Tasting area is a bit awkwardly situated -- there are cabinets that the staff often have to access right behind one of the counters.
After being shut out of a couple of other vineyards which were closed already, it was a pleasant surprise to come across Pine Ridge still open and welcoming to finish out the day in the Napa Valley. My favorites here were the whites, though the reds weren't bad either. Overall, the staff were informative and helpful. After tasting one of the whites, and mentioned that I might like to buy a bottle, they informed me that it wasn't absolutely necessary to buy there, as the bottle in question would be available on the east coast, thus saving us the trouble of checking the bag at the airport.
First winery (of 5 so far) where there wasn't a bad glass to be had. Jose was very accommodating and educational. Grabbed a couple bottles at this one and would definitely recommend.
Rude upon entry! And I used to be a wine club member.
Fantastic winery. Excellent wines, beautiful caves, engaging staff.
The fact that it's located in Napa Valley's premier wine-growing appellation of Stag's Leap speaks for itself - but Pine Ridge keeps the area's reputation high with its well thought out tours, great tour guides (we had Jon) and super wine to taste. They actually start outside and do a pretty good job of discussing the vines and the grapes; then into the wine making areas and finally into the storage areas. They have caves! Man-made caves, but still real. The tasting room was dug into the mountain and the presentation was just awesome with both wine and small bites to taste with the wine. We were so impressed we joined the wine club, but that's besides the point. Go just for the tour - it's worth it
Pine Ridge is our absolute favorite. We are from the east coast but lived in the Midwest and that s where pine ridge was recommended to us and fell in love with some of their blends. When we found out Pine Ridge was in Napa we had to go!. We had a lovely cave and vineyard tour given by Jon. He was very kind and knowledgeable. We highly recommend it!
Our experience at Pine Ridge was out of this world! Our guide Chris defined hospitality in a way I have not often experienced! You won't find a better host/vineyard anywhere. Love this place! See you soon Chris!
We had a really wonderful experience with Buddy at the Pine Ridge tasting room. He was friendly, entertaining, and gave us some great local recommendations as well. Thanks! We'll be back.
Had a pleasant and memorable time tasting their selection. Great place to visit.
Really enjoy their wines and the selection to choose from in their tasting menu. Nice property too. Danika was kind, helpful, clearly enjoys what she does. If you can see their barrel rooms and the underground parts that's also a bonus.
Pine Ridge winery has very beautiful landscaping and grounds. There is a demonstration vineyard where you can see what the different grape varietals look like.
The wine is very good quality, with a $35 tasting fee for 5 wines. The staff was very knowledgeable and interesting to speak with. A beautiful stop, especially if you want to picnic on the lovely grounds.
Amazing experience, our guide Jeff was the absolute best, ask for him when you go for tour.
I was a white wine drinker until Pine Ridge now I love cab!
Terry, Chris and Jeff were all great...making us feeling comfortable and welcomed during our wine tasting and tour of the winery. These folks not only showed passion to the wine making process and esp their products but always make sure that we were well taken of. We have been to various extensive tours at other wineries but this team was over the top and exceeded our expectation. Bravo!
Stopped by for a tour and tasting
Great tour by Terry and wine cheese paring in the cave. Definitely worth going.
We had a nice experience here. Cabs are delicious and was the port. bottles start at $54 and go up to $175. Tasting is $40 per person. The only negative is that we had to ask for a fresh glass several times between wines.
This was our first vineyard/winery tour here in napa and now every other place now has alot to live up to! Our guide Jon was outstanding he knew everything from the history of napa valley vineyards, the science behind growing the grapes, etc. during this tour we got to walk through the vineyard taste the grapes that make the cabs, malbec and merlot.walk through the area were the grapes ferment in the tanks and the best part walk through the caves under the mountain. Finishing off with a wine and cheese pairing which was incredible! The wines we got to taste ranged in prices from 20-225 which was the flagship fortis! Between Jon and the incredible wines today was perfect!
The wines are pretty good, but at $40, it's a very expensive tasting, even for Napa.
The wine was pretty good but my poor review is based on the way we were treated. The employees did not make it a welcoming experience at all, took them a while to say hello and the person giving us our tasting had no interest in conversation. Maybe if a reservation would have been made or we were 'members' it would have been a different story. But when the employees are making snide comments about other guests who sat on the patio and they didn't think they were 'members' we had no desire to stay there.
Great wine and wonderful staff. Also very dog and military friendly! Beautiful vineyard! A must visit!
This is some of the best wine you can taste in Napa - joined as a member a few years ago, and I love every bottle we receive. If you can stand to let some of these age, you will be well rewarded! Love this wine!
Was given the opportunity to attend a business dinner in their wine cave. And what an experience. Really, really good food and the wine was excellent.
But what really made my evening was the really lovely atmosphere in the wine cave. You can see a sample of this in the photos provided.
The worst service and Wine ever. Not even worth it for a star!
Let me start with this:
We arrived yesterday and were one day member for wine testing in a buying mood. We got first white wine and then red wine. Even though I often mentioned I do not like red wine and I would prefer white wine, he gave us red wine - three times. He never listened and ran away while I was still explaining what wine I would have. There were other guests next to us and he just took care of them all the time and completely ignored us.
When he wanted to pour me red wine again, I refused and said that I did not want to drink it. He said: "I have two kinds of white wine you will love it. The last one especially..." I waited impatiently for the last one and thought hopefully he would consider my wish. Then he came with a bottle, took the pen and wrote on the list 16 dollars and told us: "this is the price of the wine, you can also buy it at Safeway."
I was just shocked. I looked at my husband and said: I am not here for Safeway wine. And of course he ran away again without letting me say anything.
Really? are you kidding me? is this Winery even interested in selling good wine or sending people to the Safeway?
Not to mention that he just serve only cheap wine (max 38 dollar) and ignored my wish that I was interesting in buying very good wine.
In order to be a membership, for me not only the quality is important but also the service. The wine quality was as worse as service. I got nothing but a wine that you can get in Safeway. I don't need to be a member in order to get a Safeway wine.
He just gave us wine like everybody can buy for 16 dollar in Safeway. Thanks for tip :/ That wasn't our level, so we left winery immediately.
One of a kind winery in Napa. Christine Kyle exceptionally gracious and helpful and knowledgeable in her field. Would highly recommend visiting the winery and buying there first class wines.
This was our first stop in Napa and it was incredible! We were able to sit outside on the patio and enjoyed a relaxed, informative tasting with Jon. He was so personable and really made us feel at home. Highly recommend!
They have the best guide for the cave tour. However, the room for wine club members seemed to be filled with people off the tour buses.
Terry made our visit absolutely amazing. Her knowledge and professionalism was impressive and amaxing . We visited a few winery's and she was the best. We will remember her forever!
