Pine Knoll Nursing Home Review

Very caring group of professionals. A lot of activities to keep the residents happy and busy. Great place for elderly to live and recuperate.

I have been here a week and a half now. The staff have been nothing but nice to me and the call bell actually get answered. The food isn't bad and they got me to my doctor appointment on time even though it was out of the facility.

Do not take your loved ones here. My grandmother came here for rehabilitation after falling a lot. While I was there (from out of town) one of the nurses nearly knocked her out of her wheel chair after a "fire drill" (they closed the doors during the drill) She flung the door open unaware of who or what was behind the door. Without an apology she looked and left. The food they attempted to feed her was horrible. They even gave her the WRONG MEDS! Although it didn't hurt her, it could have done some damage had it interacted with her other medications. She had a rash from the lack of care she was receiving. Some of her belongings went "missing". I do have one good thing I have to say about the place. They had what was called "card bingo" I went and watched her play and she seemed to have a good time interacting with other people. However, I feel like they talk down to the people there. Almost like children. These people are not children, they are your elders... Ridiculous to treat someone that way. I would not recommend taking your loved ones here. Absolutely pitiful.

We have visited Pine Knoll on several occasions and found the staff to be helpful and informative. Resident needs were handled efficiently and there always seem to be events happening for everyone to enjoy. On one visit staff, residents, and family members were celebrating a holiday together. It seems to us that staff truly enjoy working at Pine Knoll.

PineKnoll has very compassionate nurses and well trained staff. A wonderful place to work. Facility is clean and maintained daily. Residence are an extended family to staff and lovingly cared for.

Nothing but pain and suffering is within the walls of this house of horrors. Terrible staffing, terrible conditions, terrible physicians and nurses.

This place should be shut down. Every time I would visit my mom you could hear people yelling and suffering. None of the staff care and mock them!

There is a Lady that works there name Jerry that is very rude i wouldn't want them around my dog let alone a family member.... i would give no stars if possible horrible horrible

A nursing facility is not highly rated because of it s food or activities. The people who work and serve there make the real difference! Pine Knoll is staffed with a caring and kind team who make the residents feel comfortable and loved. God bless Elizabeth and her team!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. If walked in and seen my dad laying in dry urine and poop. He's had several falls for lack of watching. We've walked in a few times and seen the cna workers hiding in a room talking about drinking and what not the night before. Very few there actually care. Don't put your loved ones there.

I went to see my friend the day after it snowed. When I walked into the room there were 2 therapists and one of the therapists daughters. She did not have a sitter for her daughter so she brought her to work. Her 12 year old boy stayed home by himself. When I first walked in the little girl was talking to my friend whose pants were down passed her ankles. The little girl was talking to my friend. I don't know if she saw them change her diaper. I only know what I saw when I walked in. My friend wanted a coke so I left and got her one. When I came back they were all at the medicine cart getting my friend something for pain before taking her to the therapy room. I was advised as we were walking that if there was other residents inside I could not enter because of hippa rights. There were other residents in there so they said I could not enter. I watched them all walk in and shut the door including the little girl. There is no telling how many rights were violated that day and what all that little girl saw that day. It still shocks me that it happened. God knows it all and sees it all.

The staff are dedicated to providing a positive experience to the residents. There have been parties, Christmas gift exchanges, and even a Miss Pine Knoll pageant.
