Alternative Home Care Review

I worked here as a Travel Physical Therapist. No rehab director for first 3 weeks and learned they had hired and fired 2 rehab directors in the previous 6 months. While there, another rehab director hired/fired....that's 3 rehab directors in 6 months....That should tell you something. Finally, a new director started... Peter...no home health care experience....no people skills...no respect for rehab: PT, OT, ST....owner's (husband/wife team) have questionable policies....big push to see maintenance patients in group homes..."the money is there to spend"....you've been warned! PS: All rehab staff were travel PT's...no permanent hires because no one wants to work for them. Beware of Core Medical Group, travel placement agency out of NH...they've been placing travel PT's there for 10 years and haven't a clue!

This place sucks never have an eldery person get involved wit this company there never on time to give them there meds nd shots.

Do not use Alternative Home Health care. I have soooooooooooo many reasons why but I'll start with the insane amount of med errors their many many (revolving door) of nurses. They had one incredible nurse, Billy is an amazing man and I wish they valued people just a little bit. In my year or so with the company I have experienced literally everything from verbal abuse, insults, REFUSAL to return to my home after making medication errors and leaving in a hurry. They are akin to like.... Uber drivers of nurses. They're sketchy and always in a rush. I am pretty physically disabled. I have a hard time walking and doing stairs, nurses refuse to climb the stairs instead. I mean literal arguements. Professionalism is at an absolute ZERO as they have a staff full of excuse makers and LIARS.
I finally spent an hour drafting an email to the owners which got intercepted by their "supervisor/director/apparent owner" depending on the day. I can't even reach the OWNERS at their email, with their names on it and today was told they're "out of the country" per their Jack of All Cathy are they serious? They lady who works there and reviewed 2 weeks ago SAYS THE OWNERS (THE SURETTES) HAVE A VERY HANDS ON APPROACH.
I feel like I'm involved in some international scam because I just want another company.
If I were more disabled than I am, I would be screwed. Do NOT involve elderly family members with this screwball "company."

Hopefully I'll get a call from the Surettes, the actual owners from "out of the country"....evidently my insurance has paid out a little too much if they can afford to vacation and let their company be literally ruined by their ineffective staff"

We had a wonderful post-partum visit today from Nancy. She was warm and professional, and had strict covid protocols, which made us feel safe. She was able to answer our questions and give us reassurance that we were on the right track with our baby boy and with my recovery. Highly recommend!

I was fortunate enough to have Alternative Home Health Care services as I transitioned home after a difficult labor and delivery of my first baby. Nurse Nancy was everything a new mom needs post-partum. She was professional, knowledgeable, supportive, compassionate, and very generous with her time. Nancy was responsive and made herself available to answer questions and offer advice, even after work hours. My baby and I received top level treatment and I will be forever grateful to have had Nancy help me through my recovery process.

This Company has the most amazing RN's working for them BUT their Management, DON Kathy, Marvy, Bob, should not only be fired immediately, they should NEVER work in the Medical field in ANY capacity...
It's amazing that the RN's have perseved with such horrible Management and I wonder if the owners know what these people are doing to their company? This is the 3rd time they have nearly killed me by refusing to provide the simplictic care Prescribed and I and my advocates will make sure that they are reported to every Massachusetts State Agency possible, to hopefully prevent them from being able to do this to another living patient. They should be ashamed of themselves especially when they lie to Dr's and personally get paid extra by Commonwealth Care Alliance for providing the least care possible to their patients. This Company is yet another example of how broken our health care system is and I refuse to be their next victim

I currently work for this company and have been content with my position as well as supported by all staff members in any situation that arises. The owners have a hands on approach and have plenty of staff to support your needs as a CNA, LPN or RN. There is room to grow within the company and overtime is also available but never pushed. As a current employee, I fully recommend this company and stand by their safe patient care approach.

I have a family member who is a client with AHHC the nurse goes above and beyond in her job with kindness and respect to my loved one. I couldn't ask for any thing more. When Therapy was involved they worked hard and it paid off in the end.
