Not great out of season. Not interesting and nothing open. Make sure it s a nice day and that everything is open before coming.

Pillar Point Harbor is a great place to buy fresh fish straight from the fishermen. You can also rent kayaks and SUP from a couple locations or launch your boat from their ramp. There are some great local restaurants serving lunch and dinner.
The harbor employees are very friendly and are trying hard to keep this place pretty despite the huge number of visitors. As a matter of fact they partner with a local non profit called Pacifica Beach Coalition and they lead beach cleanups on a monthly basis.

Nice little place to walk around. And of course Mavericks is a great walk on the beach.

Great place to hang out for a bit. Theres a couple restaurants, a few shops, a surf shop, and a beach. Great views

It's always nice to be in this part of the Bay. We didn't catch any fish today.

Great place to buy fresh-caught seafood literally off the fishing boat! It's kind of a luck-of-the-draw thing as to what gets in and when, but there is a FishLine app and website that may be helpful.

It's a harbor with boats. Pretty small. Visited a friends boat here. Parking was tough but over all, not bad.

They re selling fresh fish straight from the boat like halibut, salmon, and albacore tuna M-F and sometimes weekends. Come early for most availability! You can find someone who can clean and filet for a price too. Good parking available that wasn t full on the weekend. Too crowded during the pandemic though.

Hike up to Pillar Point and find that small cove a little tucked away with the bench. Great view. The California coast line is truly a beauty.

We came late for fresh fish sells today. But it was nice to walk around. Definitely will come back for crab season.

December 22nd, We came back for crabs. We got lucky and took 6 crabs home with reasonable price. The fisherman was very friendly. My husband got his finger tangled with crab crawl. We were panic, then the fisherman told us calm down and relax.. The crab let go the finger calmly.. What an exciting moment. We are glad that we came down here for fresh crabs. Thank you.

I like this place because its a walking distance from the Pillar Point RV park. They also have a fish cleaning table with running water, which is a great thing to have. Good clean bathrooms.

My Brother in law crabs out of this harbor and I get to go visit him tgere occaisionally and buy some crab.
Chris on the Tonita, he not only fishes for dungeness but also for rock crab.
He supplies the Monterey Bay Aquarium with rock crab for the otters.

Chill and beautiful harbor with a fishing pier, you can also find a few good seafood restaurants around

Very relaxing to walk inside the jetty during low tides

Good birding. Spent time watching the fishing activity of pelicans, terns, Cormorant s and gulls.

It's so elegant and beautiful. The atmosphere is nice and very clean. I highly recommend going this place especially when the weather is sunny. Kayak rental is also available at the site. Also, you can buy fresh fish and sea urchins here.

My favorite small marine harbor. I used to drive to here every month. I like its ocean views and seafood as well as its small seaside town culture. It always makes me homesick... Yeah, you can buy fresh fish and live crabs on the boats with cash. And several seafood restaurants nearby harbor are pretty decent and good.

Exceptional quality location. If u like to surf or go fishing.maybe want to pick up some fresh fish. Early morning walks, get that seabreez never hurt nobody... .kind people.

If you want fresh seafood here is the place depends on season you can buy cod's, salmon, crabs, and other seafoods. You want to go fish instead there is the water break, pier and all the different top notch charter boats. Some of the charters even do sea burial. I almost forgot there is the nice beach with a kayak/peddle board rental shop too. There is a lot you can do here and nothing beats the nice sea breeze here.

Very cool spot to stop at, went to Barbara's fish trap. Had their fish and chips, first time ever having it. Gotta say it was really good, fresh fish is always the best!!!

Oh my goodness the clam Clam chowder soup hit the spot delicious.
