Absolutely wonderful place to go for a spa day with your significant other. They have a lot of services to offer I received a hot stone massage and I absolutely loved it. After your service you have access to the hot springs, lounge with a fireplace, coffee and tea as well as the pool and a bite to eat if you want. It's an experience all in itself.

Had a great mini vacation here ! Cozy, clean, cute . Great service. Great little gym. Great pools! Only thing is please make the pool temp outside a little warmer in the colder months . It's a bit too body temperature-ish to be comfortable when it's cold out , but nothing a glass of wine won't fix from the bar inside The package with the dinner is worth it. Must eat here it's so good.

We attended for a wedding. While the venue was nice, there was no elevator access to the upper rooms, and my in laws have bad knees. Further, the stairs were uneven and sloped. Didn't seem safe. The food served at the wedding was undercooked (read 'raw') and cold. I feel like this could have been an odd occurance as most reviews have been positive. Staff was excellent.

Great place - picked it on a whim for a long weekend, can truly say that I was overwhelmed with the class, service, and cleanliness. The little touches were amazing. This is on my shortlist of places to return to. I would highly recommend it!

We visit the bar at the Pillar and Post when we visit for Taste the Season. We need a small snack and it's always delicious. It's a great place to sit and enjoy your meal. The service is great and the prices are reasonable.

This was the location of my now wife (then girlfriend)'s first getaway weekend. 5 years ago today we were there for the weekend and we had the most amazing, relaxing , intimate experience. They have this outdoor hot springs hot tub that starts inside and you walk through these plastic drapes then you are outside. Then the server will come to serve you drinks, such an awesome time! They have a full spa in the basement as well. Definitely would love to come back for a weekend when we can make it!

Style of an age long past, housed in an old cannery, but with a touch of class and friendly waiters. Their Easter brunch is popular, though if you're a repeat customer the offerings change minimally year to year.

Great Hotel, very different, kind of rustic feel. The rooms were excellent. The fireplace worked well! It was cozy in a rainy day. There is an indoor as well as outdoor pool area. Both very beautiful, different. The breakfast was good too. Lots of options at the buffet. Excellent service. We missed the bus for our schedule event tour and one of the staff drove us there in his personal vehicle.

Went here with my wife for our 12th anniversary in Aug 2017. One of our most fun and relaxing weekend we've had in years! Great service from the front desk to the spa and the Cannery restaurant was very accommodating for our vegan/vegetarian needs. We will definitely go back, highly recommended and just a short walk to historic Niagara on The Lake!

my significant other and i came here under the impression that it was a 5 star inn and we anticipated on going to the Cannery Restaurant, however unfortunately it was closed. But it was said that the Vinyagea Wine Bar & Lounge served the same menu for lunch so we thought, shouldn t be any different than.

we were wrong. very wrong. service was terrible, our server Amy did not pay any attention to us as we sat down and asked for the menu. She walked right pass us and payed no attention in having any eye contact with us. I ordered a Sour Apple Martini and it came with a bug in it. I asked for a new one and it came back with the same bug in it...lol.

furthermore the food was trash. we waited at least 25mins for a piece of bread stuffed with smoked meat and garlic aioli. no flavour. fries were unseasoned if fries could even be unseasoned to that extent.

Unfortunately we became more than a little disappointed. Everything about our stay was fantastic until we tried to check out. When we checked out we discovered that we were charged twice for our stay.

We were told the initial charge, yesterday, was a hold and that the secondary charge, today, was in fact the proper charge. When we contacted our bank. It was confirmed that we were in fact charged twice and because we were charged twice we also have the issue of overdraft fees. Because we had not set aside enough to pay double for this stay. We're still waiting for management and accounting to make this right and hopefully they do so in a speedy and thorough manner so that I can change my review to reflect that.

Amazing place, very friendly, very unique. Amenities are top notch and the food was really out of this world. Our only issue was bathroom wasn't the cleanest, easily removed shoe scuffs were visible, toilet was wobbly and our coffee machine made cold coffee in the morning (room 230). Nothing too bad but for a high end place I would of expected just a little more attention to detail.

Wow. Beautiful building. Perfectly furnished with cozy furniture. Adorned with paintings and flowers. Beautiful dining rooms, bar, pools, spa. Walked in here for a quick drink and was amazed by its beauty in architecture and design. I have stayed here a few times in the past and did get married in The Library a few women earlier and can attest to the elegance and comfort of the rooms. Truly a treat for all the senses. The food is amazing, the service is first class. You won't want to leave.

Food - 5 stars! Staff - 5 stars! Room - 1 star - what a disappointment. Chipped and dented doors, missing paint, threadbare carpet, cracked tiles in the tub surround, rust around the bathroom door hinges, and a repair that left a horrible scar across the ceiling. It was quite disappointing. The only thing keeping the rating up at 3 stars was the food and the staff. Without that this would be a 1-star rating.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary with the Christmas Wonderland package. Though we are local, it was nice to get away for an evening and enjoy all that Pillar & Post has to offer. We strolled through the gardens, snuggled up by the fire, and enjoyed our s mores and hot beverages while watching an evening movie under the stars. It was the perfect evening.

Went for the afternoon to the spa then to Vintages the restaurant for lunch.
The outdoor spa was to die for. Though cold outside, the waters were lovely. Relaxing in the chairs was a treat.
Lunch at Vintages was amazing. The chefs are inventive and creative. The concierge was very friendly. We were staying at Queenslanding. Next time it will be here.

On August 17th, we stayed at The Pillar and Post in Room 139. Our overall impression of the room was, that it was VERY tired. The carpet was worn and stained, the wood trim around doors are chipped, the window air conditioner was old and noisy. The sheets did not appear to be 100% cotton. Bathroom was tired and unappealing. Overall the quality of the room was extremely disappointing considering the $440 price tag!

Server was awesome but the chef attending the omlet station send to be annoyed that we wanted some of the food. It seemed we were interrupting his conversations with other staff. Not really welcoming. Food was good but they are trying to sell a premium experience and all parts need to be onside.

Okay experience. Beautiful grounds and property, however rooms are dated, very dry and poor heating, basic cable is poor and overpriced pay per view (it was raining the whole weekend we stayed). Couldn t help but feeling the stay was over priced for the experience.

I booked a room for my wife's birthday, July 23, 2015. We had a very quick check in, and we had a lovely room near the pool and spa. We had a lovely time in the pool enjoying the hot tub. It is very nice that at the pool area there is coffee and tea available as well as a water cooler. We went back to our room, rested up and then went to the lounge for dinner. The server was very attentive, my wife enjoyed the mussels and I enjoyed a sandwich with beef and fries. There is a very nice wine menu, and my wife enjoyed a small glass of Canadian Niagara wine. My wife had a nice dessert, it was her birthday and we both enjoyed coffee afterwards. We retired to our rooms and watched some tv. The beds were very comfortable and the room was exceptional. We had breakfast in the Cannery Restaurant and ordered a la carte, at a previous stay we had enjoyed the buffet. Service at both dinner and breakfast was exceptional. Check out was speedy and we returned home.
