Because of it's nice atmosphere, award wining ice wine and nice staff it's a five star.
The original ice wine maker in Niagara. I went there in November, but the wine yard should be beautiful in summer. I tasted all their ice wine and The Riesling is my favourite and staff are very friendly.
Terrible experience. Our server for the wine tasting did not really explain the wines and couldn't get away from us fast enough when another couple entered the tasting room
Racist place!
the helpers there did not come forward to help me when I walked in. But as soon as my white friend walks in, guess what, 2 people come running to help!
Very good wine and a warm welcome during the tasting. But the place is big, and it lacks warmth or proximity. I came 10 years ago, it was more human than now. Today there are large tasting areas, a bit like a factory assembly line. Fortunately, it was during the Covid-19 and that there was nobody because otherwise when it must be full it must be hell.
What a lovely place. I did not have lunch there, but had a great experience trying some wines. I went there in a sunny beautiful day, and the views of the winery were nice to grab good pictures. Definitely a must for wine lovers. Price is good, and they carry some wines that can't be found at LCBO.
If you like ice wines this is the place you have to visit. They have a large variety of grapes (Vidal, Cabernet franc, Riesling), plus oak versions and even the sparkling. The guy who served us was very well prepared and the experience was stunning. So far, it s one of the best wineries I visited in Canada.
Iam a wine member of this place, every time I went here I went for wine tasting. I said to myself I got to get myself at least 2 bottles of red wine. Their wine are superb. I love it, from Icewine down to Red&white wines. All of them are great.
Wine OK. great value for and fine, nice patio and outdoor space.
Their icedwines are the best, the tour was really great & the tour guide was knowledgeable, learnt a lot.
Loved the pairing at the icewine festival. The oysters at the outdoor bar are a must have while enjoying the firepit
The tour was mildly interesting but somewhat overpriced at C$10 per person. Very rude staff inside the shop who put groups before individual customers - definitely a vineyard driven by profit rather than passion.
Very nice experience. Warm welcome and good product.
While many of the wineries are recognizable by their names on the shelves at the LCBO, the nice thing about visiting wineries in the NOTL area is the variety only available at the winery. Be sure to ask for what isn't available in stores!
Great wines and excellent space to relax and enjoy a glass.
Normal winery and the most famous icewine internationally. The price not cheap considering the volume and the quality.
Great wine selection. $20 off 325ml wines if you buy a tour.
Always a good time at the winery and if you can spend the time and money, get Donald to give you a tour of the ice wines. Some of the best in the area.
Had a great tasting experience here in the Niagara Region. Lovely mix of wines and Icewines
We had a great time and learned a lot! Thanks for teaching us Doug!
Got to sample some amazing wines. Had my first experience with "ice wine" and a Canadian blush. Loved the wine and scenery even in the colder months.
Great place for wine testing! And nice location, relax and great outdoor seating area to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine, but they should improve the menu. The quality really bad, the sandwiches were very mediocre, the only one that save the day was the pull pork sandwich. The house salad is some mix green from a bag and putting in box... With some dressing ( i am sure not home made)
Easy to have a better menu without so much effort.
Located near the stunningly beautiful Niagara River, Inniskillin is the first winery in the region to receive a winery license since Prohibition. The winery is famous for its ice wines.
Inside the winery, there are two wine bars- one for table wines and one for ice wines. Various wine flights can be purchased for either $10 or $15 depending on the number of wines.
Good to visit and buy so many kinds of wines at Niagara region. Especially I like ice wine in this brand.
Amazing experience. The tour guide gave a phenomenal ice wine tour, the grill was delicious, and their boutique shop was a pleasure to shop in. Definitely look forward to being back again.
Very interesting winery. Well cared for with trained and kind staff. The vineyards are well-kept. We tasted various appreciable types of ice wine, although the most interesting was the pinot noir. The whites are very light and not very persistent. Certainly one of the best wineries in the area.
Amazing place! Great food and good wine. The grounds a awesome as well.
The guide (David) was great!
He answered all of our questions.
The vineyard is magnificent!
Rae was a great and funny guide. Thanks man. I love the wine tasting and the tour with Rae. He gave me some special treats to try different kinds of ice wine. Bought 9 bottles ice wines at the end. Gamsahamnida.
Friendly staff and excellent ice wines. Very nice facilities, large spaces for sitting and enjoying wine and food.
So not impressed.
The staff is clueless, the girl pouting is wine was reading basic bottle descriptions from some paper she had, didn t know anything about wine at all; too many people and wine tasting is nothing more than just sampling 4 tiny glasses for $15 by yourself, hopefully you re lucky enough to find a free table (oh yeah, patio is literally next to and overlooking the parking lot).
My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this disclaimer. That s sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. We ended the trip with 120 bottles acquired.
Recommending a specific location for a wine trip in the Okanagan is like dialing the chevrons on the Stargate. Yeah wow, I totally went there. I had started thinking about how you need a specific location and then a point of origin, and the connection to that old movie just dribbled to the surface.
Regardless, before a suggestion, you need a point of origin. From the North, start with Kelowna. From the South, it s Osoyoos. If only rationed a few days, it comes down to those two, with Naramata the real reward for those dedicating more than a weekend to such a vacation. Thus, the BC branch of Jackson Triggs and Inniskillin (copy-pasted from here on because I know I m going to get the spelling wrong at some point) is bizarre in that it sits away from basically everywhere. It s the only winery between Oliver and Okanagan Falls, or at least just before you reach the latter. So, unless you re on an extended trip, it s unlikely you ll take the trip.
For us, it was an easy stop between larger concentrations of wineries. We left Osoyoos earlier so reached the complex just before its opening. I can see this place being busy during the afternoon, but at this morning, we had the place to ourselves. Unlike many other wineries in the region, Jackson Triggs / Inniskillin feels corporate, not unlike the Sandhill Winery near the dead center of Kelowna. As such, Jackson Triggs / Inniskillin a tad bit more sterile compared to others. With Naramata, you are most likely talking to owners or winemakers.
Just around the corner sits the colossal steel drums that don t look dissimilar to the hyperboloid cooling towers of a nuclear power plant (and yes, I had to look that up). Inside, it is mostly dark wood and contrasting ceramic countertops. There is a larger tasting lounge when it gets busy, but for us, it was the standard bar. There was a good selection of wine, though this was a location for the girlfriend, not me. I don t mind the Inniskillin Icewines, but I have always personally placed the Jackson Triggs at just above mediocre. But if traveling between Okanagan Falls and Oliver, this is a great stopover between more distant locations.
Love Inniskillin! The wines are pricey but awesome. The winery is not as "Estate" like as others, but the tasting room is large and has a good vibe.
Really enjoyed the ice wines here and the Innischillin photo op.
The absolute best experience! The staff are courteous, knowledgeable and very pleasant!
A great place to relax and try some wonderful wines.
A great variety of wines and the server was knowledgable!
Maybe my favorite Niagara icewine! Try this one for sure.
Big winery. Excellent service as soon as you step in the door. Very knowledgeable staff. Great experience. Highly recommended.
Went there today to join the wine member Club comes with a lot of great benefits I'm going to enjoy it!!
Beautiful area. Wine tasting ... ice cider ... SICK. Small lunch also very good. The shop on the coche !!! Well done !! I knew one of their wines from LCBO and now I love everyone I have tasted!
This is my kind of place great price for wine tasting. I also had lunch at their tables right in the middle of the vines. I felt as if I were in a different place all together. It was definitely a great experience for me and I plan on making in a yearly visit.
This winery was alright. It was nice but nothing too exceptional. We did a tasting but was not blown away by anything. They did have the botrytis affected wine but the one at stratus was what my friends had liked. The tastings were on the higher price side compared to the other wineries, one sample of ice wine on the tasting charged separately for $4 whereas in other wineries they let you taste any kind of 3/4 samples from $7-$10. They do have a little food stand outside in case you need to grab a quick bite.
For being the most famous winery on the Lake i am surprised at the small selection and pricing for wine that wasn't close to my favorite I've tasted in the area
A nice winery in the Niagara area to visit. Their menu is small, delicious, and affordable and the shop is well organized. Definitely a nice place to visit if you are planning on doing a winery tour or if you're looking for a nice place to have lunch.
My girlfriend and I visited Inniskillin winery on the weekend. We were greated by the assistant manager Eric Matthews who is an excellent person with a broad knowledge of the Inniskillin Winery property and history aswell as offering great advice on which wines would best suit our taste.
The overall impression of the winery and vineyards is that this establishment is well maintained and very beautiful.
The food here is amazing as they have the market restaurant on the terrace which offers a variety of different foods. Highly recommended!
One of the wineries that is well known for ice wine. Bought a bottle of their red ice wine. Very sweet and tasty. Good place to drop by after visiting Niagra falls.
We have been going here forever. Best wines around. Very friendly and informative too. We have never came home with a wine we did not love. Ice wines are the absolute best!!
This winery is absolutely stunning to view. The over-all estate is gorgeous and the outdoor patio is well-designed and efficient for service. The wines themselves however did not leave as memorable of a mark after visiting four other wineries that day. I'm sure with the amount of traffic that flows through they do fine, but it misses a personable experience offered by other estates.
We received a short tour, super friendly staff. Learned some great things about ice wine and the tasting were great!
After a visit to Niagara, go to the car and buy wine ... There are also affordable wines so make a souvenir! Tasting is also possible.
We really enjoyed our tour with Marilyn & David. Very knowledgeable, answered our questions and made sure accessibility was not a barrier to participating in any part of the tour.
We started our Ice Wine festivities here first
What an amazing start to a beautiful experience.
Nice place to go for wine tasting. The facilities are well maintained.
Asked for ice and was refused!!!! Not impressed, especially since I spent money and its 42 degrees out here
Nice place. Service slow but it does get packed in the wine tasting section. Huge grounds. Soccer balls and a goal are there for the kids to run around and have fun.
We went to Inniskillin on a weekday afternoon (late April). Our tour guide was extremely friendly, and very knowledgable. She explained the history of inniskillin, and the process of growing and harvesting grapes. We got to see the vines, processing equipment, and cellar where the wine is stored. Because the winter was so cold the vines had no leaves yet, but they were still quite interesting to see. In the cellar we got to see the wine library where aged wine is stored, and a short video showing how ice wine is made. We were then giving a white, red, and ice wine to try, with instruction on the proper way to taste the wine. All were delicious. The only thing I wish I had was a piece of cheese to go with it.
Went to Inniskillin with a group of 5 friends on a self-guided winery tour. The grounds are nice and offer plenty of outdoor seating. It was incredibly busy when we were there but their bar is equipped to host multiple tastings. Their flight offering is of good value at 4 for $10. Unfortunately, I didn't personally love any of their wines but my friends and I enjoyed the experience.
Currently open for tasting, food outside. Lots of patio space.
Great experience. It looks amazing in July with everything green and the grapes growing. A great store where you can taste the wines. Really nice place to visit.
Came here on a self guided tour with zoom. The facility itself is very nice. Our server, Sabrina, was great in explaining the different wines to us. She was knowledgeable and made our experience worthwhile.
A really interesting experience. We were with two children and it was really nice! I recommend this vineyard when you visit this region. In addition, there are very good wines and especially, good ice wine.
They have a pretty nice selection of wines and icewines.
Wasn't busy during a weekday afternoon. So if you want to avoid the crowds on the weekend and want to enjoy their tasting menu in peace, definitely come here during a weekday.
Wine tasting list the price but that will be waived once you buy a bottle of wine.
Had a great day with there in 1994. The wine tasting and guided tour will remain unforgettable. Saved few bottles until today.
This winery is so pretty. The vintage car tour rolled up as we arrived on our bike tour. This is a great place for pictures.
The place was busy with many people from self guided tours like us. We tried many wines, the server was very friendly and knowledgeable, but we did not buy any wine, as none stood out for us.
Where the icewine making began. Did a tasting. just love them!
We had an amazing tasting run by Derek. He was very relatable and made our experience 10x better. Wish he was our host for every tour! Thank you Derek!
We enjoyed our lunch and the service was great...kind staff. The place is excellent. The Cabernet Franc Rose was very good.
Rae offered expert commentary on our tasting choices while we waited out a rain deluge. Montague Chardonnay (8 months in French oak), Sauvignon Blanc (barrel fermented, oaky and fresh dry) and Riesling ice wine were the winners for this gal. Thanks Rae
Very knowledgeable about the different wines and what to recommend.
The place is very nice. The wine may have been good but the experience wasn't. We attempted to taste some wines but nobody made any attempt to service us. When we finally got one of the bartenders to answer a question the attitude wasn't the greatest. Id normally chalk this up to being a bad day on their part but they were super nice to other guests so we decided to leave after training just one wine that left a bad taste in our mouth
Great atmosphere. Great to try some new wines. Exceptional service by Donald. Thank you
Beautiful winery, especially in winter, exquisite wines too.
We came to try some icewine and it was amazing. I was shocked at the variety of icewine they make. The sparkling cab franc is exquisite!
Went on a bike tour and stopped here. Our host Rae was fantastic! Great history and tasting
