A little Korean gem in Toronto. We had an amazing experience. There's a grill in the middle of the table, so you can cook your own meat. Great prices, friendly staff. We've never been in a Koreab restaurant before, and enjoyed every second of it.

Came to Piggy's after touring multiple BBQ joints on Yonge. The line up at most other restaurant was honestly ridiculous (45 minutes to 1 hour) so we thought we would try out luck with Piggy's. Ended up waiting only 15 minutes, it was a good start.

I have been to their downtown location before, and I must say I am a great fan. The uptown location is a little different. They offer a much wider range of cuts, and all their portions are meant to serve at least 2 people. A standard portions starts at around $40 (for 2) so you do need to visit with a larger group if you want to try a few cuts.

We ordered the Piggy's Signature Pork Belly. The meat is served with Kim Chi that is meant to be cooked on the grill, it was great!

The location gets brownie points for serving purple rice with your meal (it's my favourite!) though I found the side dishes to be a little sad compared to the downtown location. No baked corn, no egg soup, no pickled veggies. They basically removed all my top picks and opted for salads drenched in salad dressing (sad).

Overall it was a good experience, but if you live downtown I would recommend not to waste your time and sticking to the downtown location instead.

The cute pig symbol intrigued us and the great reviews added to it.
Do get a reservation, it took us about 30mins to be seated.
The waiting was worth it. The servers are friendly and the service is Swift.
We got the army stew, potato pancakes and the peach soju twist. It was a lot of good for two people, we ended up taking the pancake home.
The stew was nice and spicy the sausages and spam were ok and the next time I will opt for one of the other stews though.
The pancake was cooked very well but needed the sauce as it was bland.
The sides were delicious, the best kimchi I have had yet. I like mine slightly spicy.
About $55 for 2 people was decent we could not even breathe was how much we overate.
The soju is a must try. And I am going to try the BBQ next time we are there.

I am Korean and i love Korean and Korean food very much, but i strongly do not recommend this place for you (especially Chinese) because they are very rude and unkind Korean people. I have never seen such a terrible Korean place. Food is ok but way overpriced and they ripped us off with a $ 18 soju! Manhattan comes in - laws live to see once in two months in Toronto. I first went to Piggy three years ago, and the food tasted conscientious and friendly, so I often went there. Going to be the United States today, I went back to my in - laws, who invite from Hong Kong found goody line as unfriendly as the gang of employees do not want to go dasineun. I was shy. I'll put it on my Facebook.

I made a reservation. But the receptionist kept me waiting for another 20 minutes. And the young waitress gave the worst service. The food was excellent. But the young waitress made many mistake on my order and kept given me food I didn't order up until I finally got my meal which took 1 hour long. I highly don't recommend this place unless you like waiting long and having a rude young waitress who keep messing up your order.

I have never been more frustrated with a restaurant. First of all, food was good when it came, but only go to this place if you enjoy having no service. I went there Saturday Aug 17th at around 8pm, sat down and was ready to order. I pressed the button for service, no one came for several minutes, then I pressed again and all the staff ignored. I continued doing this and all the staff ignored the calls. It was a good 20 minutes before I could order, it was very frustrating. And then when I paid for my bill up front, the staff was in a terrible mood. Needless to say, never going back there again despite the food was decent. One can find Korean bbq food with similar food quality but way better service.

Amazing place, I'm so stuffed right now. The servers were very friendly and the food was great. The beef was very tender and the marinated pork was very flavorful. Lots of good side dishes as well!

First time here after reopen. Was a bit worried on social distancing before on Korean BBQ, but now totally relieved. Excellent arrangement and seats are properly separated. Great customer service, except you have to wait patiently at front desk, they are a bit slow. Meat is fresh and juicey and tofu is also one of my favourite. Overall experience satisfactory!

They really put an effort on their renovation and menu. Good job! Food is above average. We got traditional pork belly that serves 2. For a big guy like me, it's enough. You may add another serving for extra. Small dishes can be refilled like every other Korean restaurant.

Seems pricey for Korean bbq when you're used to all-you-can-eat but the meat is such good quality, there's plenty of unlimited sides (including a lovely sesame salad and surprisingly good potato salad, like really good), and the staff do all the cooking and cutting for you! It was a good experience! Must recommend the beef rib meat!

Lively atmosphere and the smell of the kbbq really does permeate through the air. Their cuts of meat are great and there are side dishes always provided with refills if needed. There's currently outside patio seating in the front dozen or so parking spots with ample distancing between each table.

Had the bbq. Decent portion. Nothing extraordinary taste wise but the table top charcoal grilling put it a notch above. Good variety of side dishes. Place looks nice and clean after the renovation. Service was good.

Hands down this used to be my favourite Korean bbq restaurant. However, ever since I'd been to KBBQ in LA this pales in comparison. I was so excited to bring my aunts and uncles to try this restaurant but they left disappointed and I left feeling like I had let them down when I had highly recommended this restaurant.

I don't know if quality has gone downhill or my expectations/standards of what KBBQ should be have increased. The meat was just not the quality we had been expecting.

If you are up for table top BBQ, it is the place to go to. Other than that, too busy serving BBQ customers. Mandoo is supposed to be an appetizer, it came out as desert after all the meals were long done. Either short staffed or too busy, it was hard to get anyone's attention. Too noisy with the vent fans all around and a bit cold as well.

The beef is great and well worth the cost but overall the place is a little pricey. Good quality food though and the atmosphere is nice. The customer service definitely gives this place 4 stars. I was impressed by the way the waiters made the foreign experience more comfortable.

One of the best Korean bbq places in Toronto. Hands down! I think this branch is operated differently than the one in downtown (prolly different owners.) Great food, attentive service, SO MUCH food!! I personally do not encourage Korean restaurant owners to give out so many side dishes as they would in Korea as they tend to bring the overall quality of the main dishes down (as it's more costly to hire people here to keep up with the side dishes) but man, this restaurant does a great job in maintaining the qualities of both the main dishes and the side dishes. Side dishes were just so many and so yummy. Dessert size noodles were HUGE. I hope they don't drain themselves and put too much effort on these side dishes but as a customer, THANK YOU!

Very amazing Korean BBQ restaurant in the GTA area, the service and environment are much better than other Korean BBQ restaurant, their signature pork belly is highly recommended, really awesome. If you order BBQ, different kinds of appetizer will also give you surprise. The price here is reasonable, totally fit the quality and taste of their food.

The food is authentic Korean, delicious and the place is very well decorated. They are fast even though if you arrive after 5 you can wait up to 2 hours. We have tried the grill of pork, beef and octopus and we have all loved it. The prices are high but such a taste is worth it.

The Food was tasty and fresh and it was also good I had the bone soup + sides when I came here and with the rice and the service it was good not too busy the important thing to note that when they are serving the bone soup to you they actually turn on a heater for you which is nice for anyone who wants to come here I would note that the prices are above average for a regular Korean restaurant so expect to spend around 40-50$ per person to really fill your stomach another thing that I would note is that they have traditional Korean candies at the entrance which taste great the food tastes good the service is good however the prices are definitely higher than I expected but none the less they did not disappoint with the food my final words is that I'm satisfied for the next level up to a 5 star I would offer menu items that are more geared towards people who come in to just eat a large portion size meal at a high quality ingredient and then have those menu items during the lower peak time of the day.

First time here with friends for my birthday. Loved it! Food was served fresh and was delicious. Great family or hanging out with friends atmosphere. I wanted to experience a real (authentic) Korean barbecue restaurant where you get to grill your food yourself. It was fun and entertaining. Open free parking lot.

Looking at restaurants with a different pair of eyes after this experience where food is eaten hot (not warm) because you get to make it (meat and vegetables). I ordered the tofu vegetable bowl ( served steaming hot). Wow. This is the way to eat your food with an interactive flair. I loved it! The whole experience was so much fun to eat with friends, sharing the food I cooked ( I insisted on doing it of course, I was like a kid in the candy store). It did not take long to burn some of it, it cooks quickly. Great first experience and looking forward to doing more of this.

Life is Good! :)

Worst experience ever. Have been to this restuarant many times but not going there anymore from now on. Those middle aged staffs were just so rude. No respect at all. Had to ask three times for a bowl of rice..and when I asked one of them to change my pan they took the pan and charcoal away..I thought she is getting us the new charcoal as I was going to order more..also found a tiny dead fly on the vegetable...

I have been to many korean restaurants in Toronto for past 20 yrs as I myself am a Korean and this place has the worst staffs...

Usually considered on the more expensive side when it comes to Korean BBQ, Piggy s is nonetheless a great place of great quality foods. Parking is sometimes hard to come by especially on weekends. Usually have to come with a reservation if you don t want to wait in line for a while. Would recommend this place on occasion.

This is the best place in Toronto to stay here. The price is a little bit expensive, but it's not much different compared to other lodgings, but the side dishes are the best. When I went, the servers were kind enough to bake all the meat.

The food was disgusting. Lacked total flavour and so not worth the price. The pork bone soup didn't even taste like pork bone soup. The sides were nasty. $40 for a two strips of meat? No thanks, I'd rather spend $25 at Chacko

Relaxed atmosphere. Good place to share with a group of 4-6. Portions are good for sharing but tables aren't big enough to accommodate groups larger than 8. (We were a group of 9 and they had to seat us in two tables of 4, putting one person at the head of the table sitting in the aisle.) They serve authentic Korean food and all the servers are very obviously Korean.

Tried their dolsop bibimbap, it was delicious, good quantity of food. Service was very friendly. Atmosphere was so hectic and loud (in a good way =)). Lots of different age groups: families, largr and small groups of friends. Paying was a pain and quite hectic though -- need to pay up at front, means large line of people just standing around, blocking everyone's path (employees needed to squeeze by with hot coals and food). Can't pay seperately very easily. Would have been better if they had the card machine to have customers pay at their table.

The restaurant had a renovation and it looks more sophisticated. Servers were able to keep up with the demand on a busy week night. They were attentive and assisted in BBQing the meat. This restaurant has been around for quite sometime and is able to maintain it's food quality. My drink came in a lightbulb container which adds some fun element to our visit. Piggy's is probably one of the few Korean BBQ restaurants that I'd visit on a regular basis.

I went to a good evaluation by relatives and acquaintances. Friendly people and good facilities, but the price is high. If all the food is eaten at home, it will be cheaper than the restaurant, but ribs can be eaten at home rather than eaten here.
