Piggy's BBQ Review

Perfect local BBQ place. Absolutely amazing BBQ pork. Highly recommend the Lip Smackin Sandwich with BBQ Pulled Pork and the amazing Bourbon BBQ Sauce. The Sweet Corn Puffs are really good too (try those with BBQ sauce for an extra special taste) would definitely come back on my next trip to Austin

Solid burger and big beers. It was tasty and affordable. Environment is underwhelming and cheap, but the beer made up for it.

Came over with a group we were from faribault owatonna and waseca we came to Austin to see the spam museum and we heard about your place to eat we got in there very cool stuff on the walls love the logo I had the boneless wings po boy with buffalo sauce it has 8 wings and fries and coleslaw and tomato and lettuce it was very good and had 1919 rootbeer if ever that way again I want to try your place again very reasonable price. Very friendly staff. We came in on Tuesday July 30 2019

The food here is so good! Make sure you order a platter with multiple sides. The pit potatoes, corn puffs, and corn bread with the honey better is so good. The pit potatoes are just so good.

Best Pistachio Gelato I've EVER had!!!! And I've been to Italy! Who would have thought I'd find this treasure in Austin, MN? When I walked into the homey establishment, I didn't know what to expect. But I walked out gushing to my family about the dessert and ordering pounds of brisket and turkey to-go (SOOO worth it). The Jack and Carolina sauces are divine. My only question: why do I have to live so far away???

I make better BBQ at home. All the meats are bland and the sauces aren't much better. The spicy sauce they have is not even a medium.

*I have to start the review with an asterisk due to it being definitely a Pork restaurant and that I don't eat pork sure I've cooked more swine than many a man but on it I do not dine. I had brisket , smoked pulled chicken, and cornbread. First the brisket(if you want to call it that) was cold and dry. It hands down was the worst brisket I've ever had. It was a huge disappointment because I have always heard good things about their BBQ. The smoked chicken was fairly good it also was served cold but it was after the brisket so I was very glad it had great texture and flavor with a deep smokiness that worked well cold. The cornbread was lightly sweet and fluffy that crumbled at a touch of the fork it was wonderful.

The perfect place to take special guests to town or for your first visit to Austin.

I decided to drive from Rochester just to try this place and was not disappointed at all. Food is great with generous portions at a fair price. I will definitely be back again. Best BBQ I have found in Minnesota so far.

Located in downtown Austin about 5 minutes south of I-90 and 20 minutes east of I-35, this restaurant is well worth your time if you are travelling on either corridor. Our party of two traded back and forth between the combo platter (brisket, pulled pork, cornbread and pit potatoes) and Ribs for One (4 bones with baked beans and cornbread for sides). $29.50 for the two plates. All of the meats were moist and tender, with decent smoke. The pulled pork is exceptional; be sure and request the Jackass sauce on the side. The sauce will help the lean brisket, which has little flavor on its own. You might also want to mix some of the pork into the beans, which also need help. The cornbread is moist and sweet, while the pit potatoes are so good that, after one bite, we ordered a second round. Don't add salt! These White Diamond gems don't need it.
How good is the pork? We took 2 pounds home with us to anchor our next batch of jalapeno poppers. In sum, this one is well worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood at lunch or dinner time.

I love Piggy's. Quality BBQ. I personally love the pork tacos. Always great service.

Tasty brisket, ribs were a little too dry, slaw and corn bread save the day, beans were ordinary. Staff was very helpful and friendly, great service!

Food was delicious and the waitress was very good, she came back to our table many times and made sure everything was good.

Great food! I love the loaded potato at the fair and it always my go-to fair food. In the store (besides the pork) the corn puffs are a must!

My wife and I were in for lunch at about 11:15 on Monday. We were greeted by Holly and seated right away. Pepsi products are available which is great since I usually have diet mountain dew. Ordered the 2 meat combo plate with brisket and chicken. Both meats had a good smoked flavor and the chicken was moist. The coleslaw and corn bread we're good also.

Excellent BBQ in Austin Minnesota. Food is Delicious Staff are very friendly Prices are very reasonable would definitely stop in and eat there again when in Austin Minnesota Area. They are across the street from the Spam Museum (see photos)

I had the rib platter for one. Meat was very tender but not falling off of the bone. Beans we're good and the cornbread was wonderful. I don't think that they use much spices for flavoring when they smoke the meat but the meat made up for that. They also have beer on tap and gelato made on site. A simple place that "punches above its weight".

The food was great, everything! Kids absolutely loved the burgers and tried our ribs and brisket, all of it put a big smile on all our faces. Food came very quickly and kids meals came with gelato. Nothing bad to say, you need to stop here if you are passing through.

One of the best bbq places I've ever been. Very kid friendly. The corn bread is AMAZING.

Great food and good atmosphere. The menus need work though. They aren't very descriptive with no pictures so it's a shot in the dark when ordering. Some meals are gigantic and others are appetizer sized.

Piggy Blue's is a cute little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great BBQ! The brisket is smoked perfectly! Definitely worth a try if you're in Austin.

Absolutely fantastic. One of my favourite barbecue places in general. The Po Boy is my favourite, an absolute unit of a sandwich.
