When waiters tell you there to busy to bring you cutlery was appauling, for a 1st night as a wedded couple to be stuck in the end corner suite closest to the city was harsh especially after paying $760 a night!

We had a great experience with this hotel. It is in a prime location looking out over the harbour with stunning views of the bridge and Opera House. The room itself was very modern, uniquely styled and comfortable. The concierge staff members were extremely helpful with suggestions for things to see and do, making reservations for dinner/activities, and providing directions. Special thanks to Benjamin at the concierge desk and Mr. Sawkins for making this a wonderful stay.

Awesome customer service experience. Very high end and very well looked after by staff. The only let down is the rooms there not very luxurious for the amount you spend but I guess you do get a nice view.

I had breakfast with a friend who was staying there. Great location, It had a lot of construction going on and entrance was a bit confusing.
The food had a decent spread at the buffet, but I was surprised at how messy the tables were...we had to clean our own table (outside). We finished our meal and the table we put all our stuff on hadn't been picked up. Their scrambled eggs were watery and ....not sure if they were eggs.

Pier One, arguably, the best fishing spot in the 50-plus square km Sydney Harbour with its 12 meter deep water in front the anglers. Even the ocean rockfishing does not have that deep water.

A lot of decent size fish were landed at this spot. During the fishing season from October to May, this spot can be very crowded, day and night, 24 hours.

For the convenience of anglers, a mobile toilet and fresh water tap were provided by DPI fishieries some time ago.

With such a prime location and millon-dollar view at the heart of Sydney Harbour and adjacent to Sydney CBD, also with over-developing everywhere in Sydney, it is a big wonder that this fishing spot still has not been encroched by the developers.

To value this precious privilege, dear anglers, please do the right thing after your fishing for your own benefit.

The whole hotel feels good! Beautiful view, large room, restaurant, and close to the coast! However, there are a few shortcomings, such as no swimming pool, member points dragged for ten days or not, traffic is not convenient.

Absolutely disappointing experience!! Visited for our 38th wedding anniversary and did not even stay. On arrival we were greeted with a friendly smile and an fresh orange juice. Our room was Number 333 and you couldn't even swing a cat in it. The window was the size of a ship's porthole and views were extremely limited. The room was claustrophobic and not worth the money. We decided to go for a walk and forget the inadequacies of the room. On return we opened the door and were greeted by the smell of sewerage. At that stage we asked for another room but they never got back to us within 30 minutes. We packed up and went home. Save your money and stay home!! We even booked the restaurant by phone message on Tuesday and our booking request was LOST! The receptionist said to come down at 7 and we'll try to fit you in. This is an anniversary I'll never forget for all the wrong reasons. Marriott Pier One will never see us again.

Thank you Mukul for a great time, suggestions and care. You and your team are well and truly above the rest. I dare say much better than most hotels that I have stayed in, and I have stayed in a few. I will not forget the attention and the plans suggested for the stay. Live Sydney is a term coined by this hotel and we lived Sydney for a week at this wonderful and historical place. The floors are rickety, the rooms are unique and the restaurant is dark even in mornings. But the food is really nice and the service is really good.

I got an upgrade to a suite..Location is awesome for a short stay. The service was amazing. Ice cream was even better.
Like all hotels everything is overpriced, but the suites are very well stocked.
The only downside is there's some construction going on in lobby (not a bother at all), but the rooms furnishings could use an upgrade.

Pleasant afternoon sipping cocktails by the harbour. Food available as well. Recommend the cheese board and beef tacos with a side of sweet potato or shoestring fries. With view from blues point around to the harbour bridge and opera house from the end of the pier a must stop while exploring the rocks and Walsh bay on your way to Barangatoo.

We spent six nights at Pier One and it was the perfect position to enjoy Sydney. We had a suite with a view over the harbour. Unfortunately, you cannot open the windows but it is still a great view.
The staff were excellent from the Breakfast Staff to the Concierge. They were all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for a staycation and although our room was beautiful with lovely ocean views. It was also a little strange seeing army patrolling as well as police due to Covid. Understand that this is a quarantine hotel but it would be nice to state that somewhere. The rooms were dusty and pillows had an interesting smell like they ve been damp for to long.
Breakfast included was good and it is a very beautiful room

If you are looking for a great hotel right next to Sydney Harbor Bridge well you have found it. You are so close to the Sydney Harbor Bridge that you could throw a rock and hit it. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very courteous and almost too helpful. They got me into my room quickly despite the fact I showed up kind of early. I am pretty used to dealing with my own luggage but the bell staff asked if I needed help multiple times. The besides the bridge another big attraction here is the lobby bar which seems to be buzzing any time after about 3 pm local time till late. It has to be the busiest hotel bar I have ever seen. In both my recent stays the weather was not cooperating so I hope to return at a time when it is sunny and bright. That is the excuse I will use to return here again. :-)

Extremely bad experience with the Igloos on the Pier . It was for a 50th Bday celebration. That night, it was gale force winds and the Igloo was swaying severely. Staff insisted we stay in the igloo as nothing else was available!. A few of us felt seasick!. Then they suggested we have the set menu at $160 pp in the restaurant.. but still pay for the Igloo booking!! After a heated discussion with various staff, another Igloo that was supposed to be not available on the land.. was then available after arguing for 1 hour. It spoiled our whole night and we were so disappointed. My friend chose a very bad place to celebrate her bday. Never again.

Right on trend decor, and awesome location with views and five minute walk to town, though protected by Hill from city noise and bustle. Staff and service a bit slack due to pier ones supercilious attitude.

This hotel unfortunately has many areas to improve. I have good and bad mixed review.
1. Receptionist
Excellent. She was a professional, polite and very nice lady. Nothing to comment. Good start.
2. Room cleanliness and condition
Good. Fairly large room.
3. Noise
Very poor. Extremely disappointing. I was staying at room 230 and I could literally hear people walking in the hallway on my floor and upstairs as well. Also, the heater in the room is seriously loud. I was so glad that I brought my ear plugs.
4. Light
Disappointing. The curtain they have is an electric curtain that is supposed to block all the light from outside, but the curtain unfortunately could not block all the light even the window is actually really small. The light that was not blocked by the curtain woke me up next day. Also, there was one light for the mini bar, but I could not find the button for the light.
5. Bathroom
At this point, I truly wish they have some good things in the room, however, unfortunately, the bathroom is the worst part in the room. Small transparent shower room, the shower room actually leaks and makes the bathroom wet. The worst part is that the bathroom floor is completely flat-the water does not go to the drainage hole... I was actually really disgusted and I felt uncomfortable while I was having a bath after the shower as the floor is wet and I had to step on it again after the bath. I tried to remove some water with my towel but the water from the shower room was quite a lot so I couldn't remove all of the water.
6. Room service
First, it is actually shame that they don't have the dental kit and slippers in the room by default. It is not a motel or 3 star hotel. This hotel is Marriott Autograph Collection 5 star hotel. The fact that they didn't prepare the slippers and dental kits disappointed me but it did not bug me. What bugs me was their slow service and no explanation of their service whatsoever.
I only requested one thing. Bring me two dental kits and slippers. I asked at 4PM but turns out, they brought them at 6PM. I was watching a movie whole time so I did not mind at all but when they brought the items, they did not explain why those kits took 2 hours to come to me or being apologetic. To be honest, I did not mind it at that time as I did not need them urgently, but their attitude and service clearly does not meet 5 star hotel.
7. Location
I am a Sydney local and I don't care about the location as I just needed a good place to escape from my daily routine, but if you are a tourist, harbour bridge and opera house is next to the hotel, which is good and transportation and accessibility is very poor.

Overall, I would not go back there again and I feel paying over 300AUD for this quality hotel is actually pointless.

We attended an Igloo party at Pier One for a birthday over the weekend. Although the view wasn't as what we were expecting, both Alvin and Manuelle went above and beyond and definitely made our night enjoyable. Thanks so much for your fabulous hospitality, will definately come back soon!

This hotel was in a great spot right by the bridge. My husband and I love autograph collection hotels. The inside had all this cool reclaimed wood. They gave us champagne at check in, and since we have status we got the breakfast for free. The buffet was the best we had in Australia. I loved it.

Fun, funky place in a old pier facility. The room was spacious but had some minor flaws (difficult sliding door, toilet that ran unless it's flushed just right, short shower). It's also a bit out of the way, but a close walk to less touristy places.

Great staff.

Modern room with spectacular view. Can walk around the harbour for evening stroll. Located near to the rocks, walked there for food and its weekend market. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Staff was extremely accomodating when v Ask for help to hold on to our luggage as our flight is not till night time and we wish to walk around still.
Excellent hotel with great location and superb hospitality!

Boutique hotel. Love the old but modern rooms. Amazing views of the harbour. It's a 5 minute walk to the bridge and 15 min walk to the Opera house. We loved the breakfast buffet with their wide choice of continental and local food. They also have a great area for drinks and social area you can rent. They have cool bubble domes which can seat 5 to 10 people. Great for private parties. In room dining is good. Staff are friendly.

A really warm friendly place with amazing views and comfortable rooms. We love the smaller size and cosy atmosphere of this hotel. I don t think there is better, more genuine service in Sydney. The location is outstanding and so reasonably priced for its incredible spot.

One of my favourite Sydney hotels! Such a great location... just a short walk to the rocks, but ideally secluded from the chaos in stunning Walsh Bay. Elegantly decorated and lovely dining options.

It's too bad that the hotel is actually open right now. It's in quite a state of disrepair. The floor I was on was under construction and it looked and felt like it. Surprising given this is an autograph property. The setting is quite spectacular right on the water and a few seconds walk from an amazing view of the Opera House and the majestic bridge. There is a ton of excellent choices for shopping and eating nearby too. This hotel definitely needs some tlc. The rooms and everything in them is tired and worn.
