I recently visited Piedmont Charter School and was very impressed with the administration and school!! It is unfortunate that people do not always understand or realize how lucky one is to be part of such a great school!!! School violence, drugs, and inappropriate behavior is not the norm here!!! Test scores were the top of Gaston County!! Wow!!! No junk going on here!!!!

We absolutely LOVE this school! Our children have been here since Kindergarten. We are most impressed with the College Preparatory Mission and the Core Values that focus on Academics, Character and Community. We are so proud of the recent report card showing a "B" which is 11.5% higher than the state and 15.7% higher than the county. We are so excited about all of the AP, Honors and Fine arts classes that are offered. Our children are receiving a superior education in an environment where the teachers, administration and staff truly care about each individual student.

If you re reading this, I suggest moving your children to a different school. I do think this is a good School in a way It has fallen under poor management and it has turned into a retirement home pretty much, but I don t think about being elder, I think of the way they teach. Teaching is poor there. Some teachers make my children copy notes that don t even matter. Teachers have favorites and it s not fair to my children, who aren t bad students, and overall, some teachers have been petty to my children!! They always complain about it when they arrive home. I hope you consider the following, and Piedmont, if you re reading this, I suggest making changes in management soon. Bye!!

We aren't in the best school district in town, and we're so grateful to have Piedmont Charter as an option. My 9th grade daughter is enthralled with the musical theater program and my 10th grade son has really grown in the sports program. My 2nd grader is having a rough start this year, and his teacher communicates with me constantly in an effort to help him be successful. We love PCCS!

I am greatful for the opportunity to have my daughter at PCCS she is encouraged, loved and challenged each day. The staff is very involved with the students from admin all the way to custodial workers. We are very happy!

My children have been here for 8 years and I have one at each campus. I feel safe for my children at all times. There are several policies implemented in order to protect them. Academically, they are exposed to two curriculums, the state and Core Knowledge. Our dinner conversations are so deep because my 8 year is talking about the War of 1812 or my 12 year old is discussing Ancient Egypt. Both of my girls have continued to grow academically through out their school career. The administrators consistently have the children first in every decision they make. All of them strive to make this school the best experience for each child. I love PCCS.

School is ok, but very petty on the kids. Teachers can focus a little on kids that are slow and in need of help. Communicated more with Parents requarding grades and not just on behavior issues. Chore and Drama has excellent teacher. Admin is understanding and helpful, Some days are better than the other (s).

Please seek better options for high school. Mr.Noble is a bully and harassed children on campus and gets away with it. If he chooses to bully your child he will and monitor you child on camera. After unsettling conversations and feeling threatened by Mr.Noble, I removed my son from Piedmont Secondary campus. Poor management after 9th grade. Please seek alternative options if you are seeking overall success and growth for high school.

This place is just absolutely terrible. Please do not work here and do not send your children here! This school used to be great, but has terrible and unprofessional people in power today. The elementary campus may be great, but the secondary campus is crumbling under lazy administration and corrupt power. They yell at children and faculty in order to get results. I have seen many great teachers leave this school or be driven out of this school because of mismanagement. I chose to take my kids out of this charter school because honestly, this school is very far from where it was when my children started In kindergarten. This school recently dropped to a C rating according to NC report cards. Gaston county schools are better than this place and a better long term solution to your academic needs. Piedmont tried to shut the high school down three years ago. Who knows how long it could be until this very same situation occurs. My children told me that many students leave this school to find better opportunities in public high schools in the area because Piedmont lacks AP courses and can't fit required coursework into student schedules. As a parent I had to do what was best for my children and put my kids back into Gaston County schools. They have better teachers, better administration and more opportunities for academic success.

Piedmont Charter has been awesome for our kids! Students are encouraged to excel in their education and explore creative outlets through an outstanding arts program. If you're looking for a school where teachers genuinely care and students are prepared for higher education, we highly recommend PCCS.
