Great little roadside shack!! Friendly down home goodies and produce. Bought a couple of awesome pies and jams.
Fantastic family fun regenerative farm. Stop in and enjoy the fruits of their labor!
You gotta try the Lemon Buttermilk Pie. I never liked lemon in cakes, pastries and pies but after trying the pie here, I've been converted. This place is also cool inside, great for pics!
Awesome fresh home made pies with local ingredients.
Wanted an apple pie and they had run out of fresh ones but they had frozen ones and bought one. Following their reheating instructions we were thrilled with the results.
Best pumpkin pie ever! Well worth a visit for a great cause.
Nothing here for anyone watching their sugar intake, sadly.
Pie Ranch on Barn Dance Night is something not to be missed. As a novice dancer I felt welcomed and supported. It was really a special and fun evening!
This place is amazing the pies are delicious and definitely as organic as they come. A must plate to stop if you happen to be traveling on your way to San Francisco California. The Berry Pie was our favorite.
Best pie I have ever had. They were out of Mini apple pies so we got to chocolate and it tasted like brownie batter. So amazing. This small pie was $8, which I find to be a little expensive. But let's be honest, it is worth it. If you are driving by, you should totally go.
We actually drove by the sign that said "stop for pie" and got curious to see what the shop was all about so we turned around and went back. Such a good decision we made! Can't wait to go back.
It's worth the long drive to get a pie. The tastiest pie I can ever recall having.
The monthly barn dances are so fun! I was worried because I've never done square dancing before but there is a caller that explains what to do the whole time. You end up switching partners and even dancing with groups of 6-8 people so you'll end up making a lot of new friends. The live band really makes the atmosphere fun and inviting. The only downside is the barn isn't very big and the event is very popular- people have to rotate in and out so they can give others a chance to dance. If you go be ready to dance with some strangers and break a sweat!
I love the funky feeling but the pies where expensive and uneatable. Could be because we re not used to american pies?
Really good pies with a selection that rotates frequently based on what is in season or the whims of the pie gods. I really enjoy getting a couple personal size pies and cutting them in half so I can share and have two pies to try. Sit at the picnic tables and use the portable toilets. A great stop on the way up and down the coast, but don't wait too long, what they have in the case is it.
Fun spot and good pies. They also have some local produce and fun t-shirts. Can get a little touristy when a lot of people show up at the same time.
Community connection, culturally responsible, nostalgically aesthetic.
Seed to table healthy pie. Not too sweet and made the love
Extra fresh and delicious produce here with some excellent baked goods. The honey pie is delightful with a cup of tea. Take a stroll around the grounds to look at the chickens and goats. The folks who work here are an excellent bunch and could not be more pleasant.
A nice place for a quick stop and a pie. It's beautiful, they're friendly and the pies are good.
It's a ranch with a big 'ol barn with pies! Whats not to love. The have other stuff too.
Friendly people here.
I love the pie and the selection of produce and other goods.
Wife and I stopped by; I was skeptical, but my wife *really* wanted a pie, and I was glad we did. It's a cute little place with a picnic area. Weather was warm so we grabbed a strawberry-rhubarb and ate. It was probably the best pie I've ever had in my life.
I almost put this at a 4 star for one reason: a full pie here can set you back $30. It is a great pie, absolutely, but it feels that $30 for a pie is on the steep end.
In total, if you're in the area, stop by. Take it off your bucket list, tell your friends who you found this cute little pie shop off of highway 1, it'll make for some good photos and stories.
Great people. Their pie is the best I have ever eaten. They have a great environmental cause.
The peach pie was delicious. I love how it's a nonprofit organization that cultivates a healthy food system.
Great people on site, beautiful ranch. The pie/galettes were delicious too!
A gem. From their amazing farming programs to their great pies to their awesome barn dancing.
Great spot to relax, take in the ocean, see some great view, eat great baked goods, jams
Great pie but more importantly an incredible vision. Don't just eat their pie. Take a tour of the ranch.
Do not miss this if you are in the area (or within a three hour drive) charming location, nice people, hand pies, potato galette
Excellent place..Very expensive..A pie worth around 20 bucks...I didn't see in any place..Yummy strawberries. We finished the pack of strawberries in 5 minutes.. So fresh, juicy and sweet. We bought bean seeds..I planted them and within 3 days, I see then growing as beautiful plant.. Apart from expensiveness everything else is amazing.. Each Marble costs 1 dollar..
Awesome staff. Helpful, friendly and very approachable. Items for sale are super pricey but it is a cause worth supporting. Definitely worth a visit.
I hate to write a negative review of a small business, but the clerk at the 'pie ranch' told us they buy their pies from a commercial bakery in Santa Cruz.
The pies are mediocre and very expensive. Check out the user photos: there's one of a pie with "Companion Bakery" on the box, and a 'pie ranch' sticker stuck on top of it.
Must stop on the coastal road. Tasty pies and organic produce. When I was last there during the pandemic they were handling the social distancing well by taking orders one side of the barn and handing over the produce at the other side.
Great pies at the stand. Sign up for a work day and barn dance!
Great pie! We brought Lil Bean here for her first pie...and she loved it!
Misleading.... At least to me... The name is pie ranch.... But they don't actually bake their own pies... Just the name of the farm...
Very cool farm with homemade jams, pickles, hot sauce and farm fresh eggs. Make sure you try one of the fresh pies that they are known for!
Loved the line dancing event! My girlfriend and I had the perfect date there! We had so much and We felt like we were in a country music video! We had to take a break because our faces hurt from smiling and laughing so much! The ambience was AMAZING. String lights crossed the ceiling and the live band was fantastic. It's also a great way to meet people for all y'all single peeps out there ;) WARNING: NO PHONE SERVICE
Pies are very good. There are also lots of other locally made/grown items like jams and duck eggs. Things are little pricey but food is very good. There is no sign before you hit the entrance if you are coming from SF. There is heads up sign about half a mile up if you are coming from Santa Cruze. Worth stopping by if you have time.
I love Pie Ranch but their pie variety is too limiting for me to drive to the middle of no where
Bleh pies look old nothing was working no lights flies unbelievably expensive
This is a definite place to stop when you are on Hwy 1, a few miles North of Davenport. Friendly staff, locally sourced organic produce, flowers, Homemade pies, breads, and other desserts, locally made jams, scrubs, and assorted gifts. There's always something you must have. Or just come to relax under the trees at one of their picnic tables.
As a long time motorcycle rider that likes to head out to Hwy 1 when temps rise in the bay area I cannot believe that i had never stopped here until yesterday 7-15-1. It was around 4:30 some 30 minutes before closing time. I ate a small fruit pie (olallieberry) and scored two olallieberry pies left over from the day before. Though one day "old" they were still awesome pies. Not too sweet and the ingredients all make for an awesome treat. I will be making it a point to stop in everytime I'm down riding on the coast.
Great working ranch with a deep focus on sustainability. Fresh produce grown from the property is sold as well as delicious pies with farm fresh ingredients. Community events held include a monthly barn dance.
Great spot for pie. Stop and enjoy one under their shade trees out front.
The pie was decent but for being in the middle of nowhere and pie being the seemingly primary attraction I think it could be better...they are an activist type farm and educate people on how to do things naturally and that's pretty cool
Great pies, jams, and a veggie section too. Plus a selection of books about sustainable farming makes for an interesting stop!
Very nice place. Love the pies. Love the barn dance.
I don t know what these other people are talking about I bought 2 pies
the pies flavorless and way over priced
For $25.00 bucks a pop I was expecting something great... what a disappointment
The pies are outstanding and the regular barn dances are SO MUCH FUN.
Wonderful pies and sweet treats we come here every time we come to the coast!
Wonderful farmstand with ultra fresh produce and eggs. Delicious!
Great community of educators, farmers, dancers and pickers! A model for how food gets on your table. Unbelievable fun at the Barn Dance held the 3rd Saturday of every month!
This place is very cool, and they've got great pie and other goodies!
Nothing else around but this spot is great for a unique experience after visiting Ano Nuevo Park and Pigeon Lighthouse. The mini potato and apple pies were worth $5. The atmosphere as well as the friendly lady working were fantastic.
Yummy yummy yummy plus we brought home fresh duck eggs for breakfast the next day. We got there after closing but they still let is in. They are very friendly and helpful. Selection is seasonal and the have many farm products along with there fabulous pies. This is a must stop on your way up or down the coast
I don't know if they've survived the fire. I hope they have insurance to rebuild if not. Always a treat of a place to stop along 1.
Great honey!!! Must get it. There are other products but I dont like too much of sweet things.. but it would be heaven
By the time we arrived in the afternoon, there weren't many pie options avaiable.
This is just a lovely rustic place to stop on the coast.
Cool concept. Organic sustainable farm store. Jams, pies, fresh fruit. Great knowledgeable staff.
Fun and funky. My husband loves the lemon pie, I am fond of the walnut one.
Loved the lemon pie, but I found the lack of pie variety/supply a bit upsetting for a place called "Pie Ranch". Very cute rustic interior (verging on trendy rustic) with a small selection of local goods.
I have not tried the pie yet but I heard it is good. Also the strawberries are a little sour sometimes but they are overall still good
How could you not stop at a 'Pie Ranch'? Great selection of quality products. Biggest disappointment was limited selection of pies when we got there at 3pm.
Brownies and pies are very tasty, the grounds are beautiful, their causes are good for the community, and the workers were really friendly.
