I visited the place with my friends for a birthday party! FUN! It can sometimes get crowded with kids on the weekends.

There's 10 kids for 1 hour in a class. My daughter only gets 2 turns on the equipments. I'm so disappointed, the young coaches don't really care about their job, it's all for money. No interest in pushing kids further or looking for abilities. Complete waste of my money for 2 years. Paying for piano and swimming is better. Talking from real mom experience!

My son loves it here. The instructors are awesome - very patient and encouraging. It's been great for his confidence and motor skills. Definitely check it out.

My daughter had a hard time finding her "thing". After putting her in numerous sports, finally we tried her in trampoline. A couple of months later, she was then selected and moved onto the competitive side of things. I explained to her that competition is not only fun but it's serious at the same time. Not so much the same as recreational. I explained to her that if this is what she truly wanted to do I had no problem paying and being there every step of the way. Not only has she exceeded tremendously with Pickering Athletic Center but I've also noticed the change in her confidence and positive attitude. The coaches are absolutely fantastic. My daughter understands that coaches have to have a tough love kind of side to them in order to make the girls succeed towards their goals. Although its sad a few of them have left for school or bigger opportunities... this place is an all-around fantastic gym. Reading some of the other reviews you just can't please everybody. Keep up the awesome work Pickering athletic center and we look forward to staying with you for years to come!

WOW, where do I start. i usually don't leave reviews, but I feel that parents must be aware of the type of environment that their kids will be exposed to at this location. The club is not interested in their competitive program because it does not make money for them. They concentrate on birthday parties and the rec program as these are the money makers. If you are in the competitive program, I urge you to communicate with your child to ensure they are happy and that the coaches are treating them with respect. The coaching at the upper levels is sub par and if you are looking for your child to progress, I urge you to do your homework and explore other clubs to find the coach that will help your child grow. If all you want is a birthday party or to do recreational gym, this may be the place for you, but look elsewhere for anything else. for the sake of your child. The management team is horrible and will avoid contact with their customers at all cost. They do not value their customers at all, even after many years of supporting their club.

Great facility and even better staff. Best gym in Durham region both my kids are enrolled in their summer programs.

We had our son's 4th birthday party there this past Saturday. Booking it with the office was a breeze. The coaches that ran the party were amazing! The kids had so much fun! We'll be back again next year.
