Phoenix Beach Hotel Review

Oh! So friendly, clean, excellent service all round.

Fantastic structure, very kind staff, you can access the beach, even if you are not a customer of the hotel, at great prices it has a swimming pool a stone's throw from the sea.
Both the drinks and the food it offers are great, in 9 days we went back 3 times

Fantastic place to stay! Friendly staff, good food & cocktails all reasonably priced. Only downside is that some of the rooms have the air-conditioning unit on the balcony which blows really warm air. So in order to sit outside on a night you have to turn off the air con in the room off.

The food comes on large plates. A standard english breakfast will feed 2 people.

We paid for the sun loungers and parasol on the beach in front of the hotel and by doing so we're allowed to use the whole facilities of the hotel. This made our day as we could dip in and out if the pool and eat at the the beach front restraunt where there was great service and really good current music. We had a fab day at the beach

We booked a sea view room but was given a room at the back of the hotel and TUI blamed it on the hotel saying that the hotel allocates the rooms. Hotel did not do anything to rectify the problem apart from being very rude.

Very good nice position close to beach. Nice and quiet this time of year. comfortable beds and tidy room. Lovely staff. Definitely recommend.

Really nice hotel right next to beach, friendly staff who will bend over backwards for you to help you out, me and my wife are very happy, we've come back to the same hotel 3 years on the run.

Pretty good. Clean, well served by staff - some of the bar staff are amazing. Expect to pay for extras like air con(but not July or August), safe etc.

Food not great for some things, but breakfast certainly filled us up. Recommend the club sandwich for lunch between 2.

Beachfront location is fantastic, good sand and shallow water with large reserved area for swimming.

Would definitely come again!

I only review the beach bar service: great place just 10 meters from the sea, with a beautiful view, lunch for less than 10 with a plentiful dish, kind and competent waiters.

Our rooms were not the cleanest there was various items left outside our room and up tree were there for the whole two week stay breakfast wasn't best ate out most mornings if your one of the 'regular' guests get treated so much different the quote "one rule for one and one rule for another" comes to mind. Cleaners just walk in without knocking luckily no embarrassing moments but few near misses.

Lovely hotel. Quite small but extremely friendly staff. Rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels every day too. Breakfast could be better but didnt spoil anything. Always managed to have something. Beach bar at hotel is wonderful. The staff are lovely. Food in the beach bar i would highly reccomend! Club sandwiches are amazing and come with a big pile of chips. Great to share but too much for one person unless your starving! Great place to stay :0)

Love it, very friendly people, write next to the beach, no frills just a nice place to stay, we'll be staying there again, next time it's tui not Thomas Cook, I don't know why, but try it you won't be disappointed

Fabulous hotel. Right on the beach. Guaranteed warm welcome and not all inclusive so great for exploring excellent range of bars and restaurants in close walking distance.
Highly recommended.

Want to completely relax? Read on...
First of all it's perfectly located. From the bar to the beach it's 30 steps. Fantastic beach even for the children due to it being shallow for a long way out. The hotel is very well maintained. The food is excellent with good size portion. Rooms are basic but very clean and regularly cleaned. Staff are top notch. The best thing of all, the price! I've travelled to over 30 countries and I'd place this hotel and value in the top 3rd of my favourite places. So, in summary great location, good value, close to the beach.

Lovely friendly staff remembered us from three years ago! Sunbeds around the pool are free and for hotel guests only, these get taken very quickly! Sunbeds on the grass are 5 a pair and the beach out the front 7 a pair. Food and drink from the bar area is good and can be brought to your sunbed although there are plenty of chairs and tables to eat at. Food served until 11.30pm. The breakfast is really good. Lots of choice, especially for English breakfast available every day although bacon is every other day. The cleaners are brilliant, they come in every day and are always friendly. The air conditioning in your room is free in July/August and our room had its own fridge! All in all I highly recommend this hotel.

Me and the wife did not stay there it is perfectly placed on the beach for anyone wishing to get a perfect sun tan the food is good and tasty

The beach bar is a great place to have breakfast and ideal for evening cocktails. Great location on the beach and the staff is super friendly!

Lovely hotel with pool & poolside bar/taverna . A buffet breakfast is great with plenty of choice. Beach itself is about 10metres away and provides beach beds at 10 per day. Overall this is a great place to stay for a relaxing holiday.

Lovely bar located on the beach, perfect drinks and snacks, extraordinary view. While your stay in Zakynthos, especially if your destination is Tsilivi, this is the best place where you should spend time on the beach. There are many bars like wverywhere in Greece coast, but Phoenix is something unique. On this place you will feel like at home, thanks to lovely stuff, always smily girls and boys. Also, there is a nice swimming pool in the back of the bar, where you can refresh if there are waves, this side of island is windy most of the year.

This is one of the best places we have been on holiday. The hotel is located right on the beach. The staff are amazing, even when they are rushed off their feet. We have stayed here twice and would go back again.

Super place! You can relax with the beds on the beach! You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner here! Be very early, because the beds are gone quickly! The beds with parasol cost 10 euros per day and you can use their swimming pool and toilet!

Fantastic location. Staff friendly. Very clean. Rooms basic, no tea/coffee facilities in room. Decor/furniture in room dated. Single beds with huge gap between the 2. Shower dreadful, mixer tap in your bum and shower curtain in your face. Having said that we would stay here again as the beds were comfy, air con worked, staff friendly, very clean and fantastic location.

Really friendly staff. Not all inclusive so you can visit the many bars and restaurants in the village. Right on the beach.

Excellent location but hotel lacking in several areas. Rooms very basic & could do with a spruce up, very dated & the Thomas cook rooms not that clean, bit grubby. The staff are mainly friendly. Problems with air con in our room making a racket & packed up, a lot of noise from other residents late at night & early morning. Breakfast quite good everything you need to start your day. Mis information about local buses so we got a taxi to Zante town (think they're on commission) for 15 euros, got the bus back for just 1.80euro each.

Popped in off the beach for refreshments, staff were awesome they let the kids use the pool, enjoyed it so much we stayed for dinner, the staff brought out free shots for the adults and watermelon for the children, might stay here our next visit.

Would love to return sometime in the future, Staff are excellent, beach is so direct, rooms are lovely and kept clean throughout the holiday. Would recommend due to location.

Dont sunbathe on the beds on the grass bit its full of cat poo made me feel sick when i realised why all the flies where round us.

This year used it for the beach and pool. As usual friendly welcome, great food and drink. Always drop by to say hello and catch up with people who work and stop here
