Ah where to start. This place is BUSY. Very busy. Lines way down the street. Our wait time was 1 hour with a group of 16. (I know!) Tell you what though, they got us in early!

Plenty of parking! One of the hottest weeks of the year and it was uncomfortably hot in the seating area. Can't expect much.

We got fantastic service, and they were extremely friendly. Very courteous and dropped by every 10 minutes or so to check on us.

Putting this out there: this place is expensive. But we got the buffet meal for the lot of us and it was considerably cheaper.

I think between all 16 of us we got just about everything except the lobster. Didn't get any complaints and I am one to ask each plate! Haha.

Overall I loved it, fantastic food and very accommodating service.

Horrible buffet. Food was cold, empty trays, seating too many people at once. Food was bland and overcooked Had to guess what was in the trays cause only a few items were labled. Will not recommend or ever go back!

First time in Ocean city Maryland to celebrate wedding anniversary and saw Phillips crab house. Made reservations for dinner not knowing what to expect. The food was fantastic as well as our server Jackie. We were also greeted at our table by the chef. He introduced himself (Jeff Phillips) and told us he was celebrating an anniversary as well. Will recommend this restaurant and absolutely return. Congratulations Jeff on your anniversary and for a fine establishment.

So much food. Eat till you can't eat any longer. Great place for s vacation date.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years, always good service and great food. I highly recommend it.

Second time here. Had the broiled seafood platter and it was excellent!!! Great food, service and ambiance. I recommend the regular restaurant over buffet, but maybe we just got there too late and buffet is better earlier. Can't say for sure.

Don t waste your time going to Phillips!!! Got in right at 4:30 and was seated quick, from there it just goes downhill. The line to get food was absolutely ridiculous and the waiters tell you that you do not have to wait in line, that if there is a hole in the line near you want just jump in there and get your food. Well good luck with that since everyone is standing in a long line and hungry and agitated not to mention the disrespectful customers at the buffet. By the time you make it through the buffet and to your table, your food is cold and not worth eating. Onto the crab legs.. they serve them to you at the buffet and you get 2 small clusters for each trip you make, I guess they are afraid you will get your moneys worth! This restaurant is entirely to big and seats to many customers to have a small buffet with hundreds of people in line. There was one dining room that had no one seated in it, they need to put another buffet in that area. I should have complained to the manager as I think $130.00 is alot of money for dinner that you leave there hungry. We left there and later went to Dough Roller and had pizza and have never had bad service there. I would highly recommend Embers buffet over Phillips.

First time eating at this restaurant. Went for the early bird on a Sunday evening. Appears there were a lot of people doing the same. There are 2 lines when getting your food. One for the crab legs and one for everything else with only inches to spare between lines. Wait time for crab legs was 10 min. Pasta station was very good. Everything they had was good to great on my scale. If you're sitting after 6 be prepared to wait. Staff was friendly and quick to clear the plates off your table. Restrooms were small and could stand to be cleaned a little more often.

Great selection!! Server was excellent. Crab legs were delicious!! Crab imperial and steamed clams were great as well. Everything was hot and fresh.

It's a fixture in Ocean City, MD and still fabulous after all these years.

Sat downstairs at the regular restaurant section. Portions were a good size and everything tasted great! Would definitely recommend

Okay for the price. Expensive. Had fish and chips very shoggy with oil. Fried shrimp was bit hard crusty. Over all decent muddle class restaurant.

Not as busy as it looks. We went about 6pm. Food was great.

The food was horrible, my crab was full of shells the fish and shrimp were over cooked and over seasoned. When my wife expressed our displeasure the manager came over and explained that the reason for the poor quality was that I made adjustments to my broiled seafood combination. Then she came back with my check and made a ten dollar adjustment, which I find insulting. This place is dated, over priced with poor quality standards. Find another restaurant, you'll be glad you did.

Food is excellent!! I love seafood done well and they excell every time..Great value and best buffet experience with the freshest food!!

We enjoyed the unlimited Maryland blue crabs and crabcakes. Raw oysters were freshly shucked. Corn on the cob was sweet. Other items were average for a buffet. Nice buffet dinner!

Great food! very busy the first hour for early bird seating and a little pricing.

Went here with my family of 8 around 5:30 on a Sunday nite. The place was empty. That should have been our first clue. Out of all the tables we could have been sat at, we were seated right next to the kitchen. We politely asked the hostess to switch our table. She complied, swiping the menus off the table, rudely showing us to another table and giving us the dirtiest look when we thanked her. We walked out, so I can t really comment on the food. Just glad we didn t spend a fortune to eat in this hole!

It was rated 4.1 so we figured it was best place to go out of the main seafood buffets. We waited 1/2 hour. No problems. We knew everywhere would be a wait. We had a very nice waitress. All was good up to that point. Now the bad. Everything else. Food was cold, overcooked and bland. They kept running out of crab. Hello, that's what your known for and you keep running out?! The selection was poor, not many items for $40 a person. Barely anything was marked so you had to guess what you were eating. For those at the table who only liked crab and no other seafood the selection was poor, overcooked. The layout was bad causing bottlenecks between the main area and the kids area which also had the desert area which was right near where you go for the crab legs. Besides the food being terrible we were served flat soda. Crab cakes were terrible, crab instead of falling out when you cracked the claws or the legs, you had to dig out because it was stuck to the shell and dry. The best thing was the mac and cheese with crab. It barely had any crab but it at least tasted good and oh my daughter thought the chicken was good. $250.00 later and My family of 6 walked out disgusted and still hungry. Terrible terrible. Terrible.

A little disappointed. The steamed shrimp and crabs had no seasoning at all. Good value though for the buffet.

Amazing fresh seafood from the ocean to our plate. Philips has been a must for my family. Have been going there for years. There is something for everyone. You got go try the pasta bar to create your own pasta masterpiece.

Have not been here in years got turned off years ago but want to give another try one day.

The best seafood buffet restaurant in Maryland. Delicious fresh seafood for seafood lovers from oysters, crap legs and soups. Dinner was always fulfilling and highly recommended!

I loved the food as we ate this buffet styled all you can eat crab legs, we were surprised with the price as it wasn't listed anywhere but all in all if you have room in your belly this is a great place to come and get some good grub!

Very disappointing. We were the first group of people when the doors opened and the food didn't seem fresh. The shrimp were dry as well as the crab legs. The snow crab legs were small and were served at the bar to you. Nothing tasted authentic or fresh. The crab balls made me think of frozen food section item, as well as the fried shrimp. The whole experience and flavor of the food gives a mass production of the frozen food section feel. The only positive thing is we were allowed to walk away without paying after describing our distaste.

Nothing special here. If you want fresh genuine seafood, try Captain George's. And I'm sure there are other places better than the place I named, but this Philips is the bottom of the barrel. The service was great!

Went to this location for my 47th birthday and the food was awesome. The staff was friendly and very attentive.

Somewhat disappointed, for a $40 per person Buffett the food was ok, crabs didn't seem fresh. T hey were short on certain things that you'd expect them to have plenty of like crab crackers to crack the shells. The bathroom only has 2 stalls and there was no soap!! A roll of paper towels on the table were our napkins and it was dirty on the top from previous customer. I dont expect to go back.

Don't ever think you can enjoy a MARYLAND crab cake anywhere better than Phillips. In 35 years the quality is still there.

Great sweet corn. Waiter said they soak it in butter. Crab imperial was delicious but smaller portion than other restaurants.

Best quality crab legs I've ever had! We went for the early bird special and it was VERY busy but they stayed on top of things and it was well organized. Never ran out of anything! We would definitely go back again. I can't imagine how crazy this place is during peak season!

Even if it is crowded it is festive,homey and serves with a hundred percent efficiency.

We did the sit down not the buffet. The service was terrible the crab cakes had shells the whole thru as well as the crab imperial. Philips has really gone down hill for the money you pay it should be better. Definitely never eating here again.

The food was EXCELLENT, the waitress Raven was wonderful, we went for the buffet,with a 20 minute wait no problem, but the place was crawling with some very loud and disrespectful people and no staff member even tried to see if everything was ok or do anything, so we decided to sit in the downstairs restaurant, which turned out to be better for us, but do to the fact that staff never did anything about the loud and rude families, we will not return,there are other restaurants that have very good food as well

Customer service and food wasn't good at all. Limited seafood options. If you're looking for great seafood options, this isn't the place.

I love the place the food was great and the server was nice. The buffet was closed but they had buffet items on the menu. The whole thing was like $120 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Not bad at all!!

Always great here, had the crab cake and shrimp ! About $25 to $35 each and worth every bit of it !

One of my favorite places to eat in OCMD. The food is great and the service is too. We make it a habit of visiting each year and never get disappointed. We were here this year over the 4th and it was busier than usual and the staff was exceptional as usual. Keep up the good work guys...we will see you in the future.

Some of the best seafood cuisine out there, definitely worth the price, and it's worth driving here from Delaware. The downstairs table service is better than the buffet, and there's always a line, so reservations are the way to go. The best appetizer is the bacon-wrapped scallops!

Food was spoiled so bad, sooooo bad. I can't we paid them.

Crappy service. Made reservations and sat for over an hour till food even came and was continuously told our food was the next ticket out as we continued to watch other tables get their food that arrived a good 30mins after us. The place was empty as well..

Wife n I, as well as family members who vacation in OC always stop in for a scrumptious meal! Try them out you will not be disappointed! Crab are awesome! Clam Chowder one of the best I've ever tried! Sweet Crab n Delicious Lobster! You Will Hurt Yourself or Die Trying! We tried the Lobster Bake and it was more food I could eat at one sitting! Eat, Drink n Be Merry!

The crab dip was good. The bread was a little tough. The Chicken Chesapeake was over cooked and cold. The roasted potatoes were cold. Was very disappointed with my meal.

Only thing good was the ribs they were great...crab legs were so small and overcooked? Something was wrong you couldn't crack them they were like soggy you had to rip them....not much selection at the bar....service was good food sucked August 2017

Decided we wanted seafood and saw Phillips up ahead. We were familiar with their name from atlantic city years ago. Glad we decided to go in. We did not eat at the buffet side but rather off the menu. Great choice. Seafood for 2 with 2 whole lobster tails, shrimp, claims, potatoes, muscles, corn and crab legs. More than we could handle. A bucket of corona and in like flinn. Chris our waiter was fab!!!! Give it a 10.

On the one hand it is somewhat toursity. On the other hand, it is legit good. The crab cakes, all varieties, are most excellent.

My partner and I both got food poisoning from the crab legs.

Food was great! We ate at the buffet which is stocked full of all sorts of food. We ate mostly seafood, all of which was great. It is a bit more expensive than what I'm used to paying for dinner but when at the seashore.... It was a great last meal before leaving tomorrow morning. The service is also great. Definitely recommend.
