Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Doug offers workable payment plans and low prices for the services he offers. I did have a but of an issue with communication but that's to be expected when you're as busy as they are helping the community.

Doug Phelps got charges dropped with the stand your ground law in Idaho. My nephew was being charged, X felon with a gun defending his life and shot his attacker.

Hard to speak for competence in regards to Doug and his associates. Returned one phone call in almost six months, answers were non-committal at best, terrible communication, and I - a family member of the client - did more legwork than the attorney. Add all of that to poor representation and you have legal council not worth paying for.

Great attorney. Genuinly cares about his clients and goes above and beyond to help them. Well worth the money!

Doug Phelps goes beyond the sworn in duty of defense lawyer, and if your case isn't in his expertise he can do a good referral. Not a greedy money lawyer, and will work with you. He seems very layed back and non-aggressive in the court room but relax and just wait. He is very on top of his skills as an attny. I'd like to call him a know it all because he really seems to have all the answers at the right time in the courtroom, and seems to be well liked by the judges. A BIG PLUS. He abhors injustice; that makes him a great fellow citizen!!!

This attorney failed to communicate with clients, failed to provide adequate counsel, and failed to notify client of pertinent court motions and hearings to the point that the case was lost. Then they sent a bill to the client after telling the client there would be no cost until the case was won. Unless you want some one to screw you over in regards to your lawsuit, stay the f* k away from this attorney.

Doug was rude and condescending to me. And due to their incompetence, I was forced to fire them and settle my case on my own, since the court date arrived and they hadn't done any work on my case. Now they're trying to bill me for services they never did. DO NOT HIRE THEM

Unreachable - Hired them for a hearing. 5 words were spoken. Too much money and no follow up on the real issues that mattered. This was after i was told they would make a courtesy appearance - Charged me $400 up front over the phone. I would not hire these people if they were the last attorneys in the county. Period

Doug Phelps was the most incompetent lawyer I've ever seen. He didn't even show up for the sentencing hearing. Of course he was paid in full so I'm sure that's why he never showed up for any court dates. He not only didn't help us but actually helped the prosecuted. I totally hope anyone who really needs help doesn't call his office.

My attorney got the day we were due in court wrong and we lost by default. He was able to get a reset for the court date however we still lost by his associate who demonstrated he had done ABSOLUTELY no homework on my case. I would never recommend this law office to anyone. I basically paid them and they made my life worse than if I'd done the work myself..

Total incompetence!! Very disgusted with. Mr. Phelps non attention to court dates and lack of concern for his client well being. As well as his non presence durning monumental court hearings. .

I'm no criminal, but when you drive over 100k miles a year your bound too make mistakes here and there ,a young state patrol officer in a blue charger got me on trent, I never speed but gave my truck a 5 second punch to get over in the 5 o'clock traffic, phelps was able to get my ticket reduced to a expired tab violation, witch I have my cdl so I am very appreciative of them.

Not good. All it seemed here was the mony. He did NOT show up for sentencing hearing. Now the court expects me to cary his burden. I had a 1200 o'clock meeting with him, while waiting another person show's up late for their appointment, was asked to come back later, anyway he lost the case at trial. I was told we could WIN this case on appeal, well it sounded good but he lost again. WHAT 4000 dollars and 4 years later i am still beside myself on this. Maybe it has something to do with HIS MULTIMILLION dollar lawsuit against the County!!!!

Will not call back. When you do finally get ahold of the civil lawyer he doesn't listen, tells you he's too busy which is why he hasn't called back for two weeks, calls you names like a child on the school yard, is obtuse about his opinion, will insist you lie and are on drugs then will hang up in the middle of you pleading to be heard. And this was a lawyer REFERRED to me for a similar situation. Unprofessional, "secret handshake", and unethical.
