Good crowd and the price is not that bad cheaper compared to other ice ring place.

They don't stock enough of most sizes and some of the staff are really rude.

The ling track is really nice. The facility is very well kept. But be sure to bring a jacket because it is rather cold.

Family really enjoyed ourselves at this facility, good overall experience.

Great fun to skate for the casual skater, or treasure it a step further and run on the running track, take some lessons, and just enjoy the world class facility.

We were visiting to see a local league hockey game. The center is huge! They offer a variety of activities, including open ice skate on the Olympic track and an indoor walking/running track, both for nominal fees. They have food and skate rental as well.

Indoor track is a great place to train on snowy days. Gets very busy after 7AM.

It was ok but the skates where horrible and gave me blisters

Great place to Skate! Had am awesome time.skating with my girlfriend for the first time.

My wife and I went on an afternoon date to the Pettit National Ice Center and had a good time. Neither of us had been skating in a while, so we braced ourselves for a rough outing - but in the end, we really enjoyed ourselves. We liked the layout of ice skating the speed skating circuit rather than just in a rink. When we needed breaks, there was plenty of seating to adjust our skates and sit and watch others. Also, there were synchronized skating practices and children's hockey games playing, which were also entertaining to witness as the Zamboni cleared off the ice for 20-30min. Easy check-in and check-out with skate rentals - be sure to bring quarters if you want to store a purse or other items in a locker near the rink!

My running team for Cross Country & Track always go here. Excellent place to run during the winter.

Way cool place to skate. I go to the open skate. You get to go around in a bug oval. There is plenty of space to catch up speed. It is fun because when you get tried you can usually see a hokey game happen in the middle. I have not tried the rental skates but they look nice.

Running track is clean and in good shape. Plenty of room to warm up or cross train.

Never walked inside but the outside of the building looks pristine

I'm pregnant and the women there was very rude. It was super cold outside. There was a wind advisory, and she said me and my husband weren't able to wait inside the building but could stand inbetween the doors and wait for our ride.

Amazing ice skating arena. Wish they would use the Zamboni to refresh the ice during public skate.

Public skating on an Olympic oval is the closest to an Olympic speedskater that I will ever get

Love this place, great for hockey, great for recreational skating, huge walking track and convenient location.

It's cold in there in case you couldn't guess from the name. So bring long socks! They have rules post for track etiquette, but you will find there are plenty of people who can't read.

Had so much fun speed skating on the 1/4 mile oval. It's a nice facility. Very professional. Very courteous.

I come here to run on the track in the winter, great running surface, great prices! Even cheaper if you're a Badgerland Striders member, the membership literally pays for itself! Been here a few times skating, had a great time and it's cool to skate on the big oval! A top notch facility no matter what you're here for!

I grew up skating here. My kids love it too. Whether free skating or for hockey or figure skating this is always a great place to be. And how fun to watch as people train for the Olympics here and there.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Establishment is clean and well maintained. I've been here to skate a couple times with friends. If you can stand the additional cold, the slushies are pretty tasty.

Cool place to public skate litterally and figuratively

Ice is always well maintained. I would like to see more stickhandling opportunities. But overall, a solid place to skate

Not as many open hockey times as there could be, they opt for stick handling to force milwaukee residents to enter a league to play a game.

It was fun, staff is helpful for beginners and watchful too make sure the more skilled kids stay mindful of others. No shaming for those wanting to wear helmets. And others seem considerate of the newbies on the ice. Costs less if you being your own skates.

Great open skate. I really like the 1/4 mile track instead of skating on a hockey rank. Very reasonable prices.

Definitely an amazing place for ice skating purposes.

For public skating, the giant "ice track" (usually for speed skating practice) is opened to the public for about $8 a person which includes skate rentals. I found it cool that you can choose to switch out your standard figure skates for hockey skates.

In the middle of the ice track, there are 2 hockey rinks. There are multiples of hockey games that go on throughout the day from kids to older adults. You skate around them on the ice track.

There is also a small snack bar under the skating area with pizza, nachos, hot dogs, sodas, and slushies

I give it 4 stars instead of 5 though because they do not resurface (Zamboni) the ice very often at all. At other skate rinks I've been to, the ice is resurfaced every hour or so. At the pettit ice center, the hockey rinks are re surfaced often, but the public skating rink was not resurfaced for multiple hours!
I got there at 3pm, and skated til 9pm. The ice was already heavily scraped up when I got there, but was not resurfaced until 6pm.
This meant skating was rather bumpy. And for beginners, it was pretty easy to hit a chipped up spot and fall.

We had a blast skating with our nephew and nieces during an open skate period. The staff are very helpful and patient with picking out the right size of skates. Lots of fun!

Two hockey rinks, a long track oval and a jogging path on the outside of it. Wear something warm, with all that ice it's kind of cool.

Don't get me wrong this place looks great but there services are horrible. My niece had a birthday party here and she had her own room rented out they said we were not allowed to bring our own food. I'm guessing they wanted us to buy there expensive food. This place is so money hungry they only have one size slushies that you can buy for $3 but they had 50 cent cookies which were Delish. DO NOT WEAR THERE ICE SKATING SHOES. THEY WILL HURT YOUR FEET AND MAKE BURN MARKS ON THE SIDE OF YOUR ANKLE!!! Everyone was complaining about there feet. I didn't have a problem with costumer service but the workers seem very shallow. Now back to there prices my sister had to buy single bottles of juice because they did not have 2 litters for parties. If you are planning to go to this place expect to come out of your pocket for bad services.

Great ice rink, public skate hours could be better but it s a fun place

This is the training center for the U.S. Olympic skating team. (Other nations use it as well.) There is a huge track that rings the center and two full size hockey rinks. At certain times (you must check the schedule as they vary), it is open to the public both for skating and as a walking track. You can rent the place (or rooms) for parties. Food is available. On the second floor is a Hall of Fame mini-museum. They offer skating lessons and some leagues (hockey) play here.There is plenty of parking and the building is handicap accessible.

All the ice sports that you can imagine and the different workouts that can be done, are in this place.

So much fun have to try it at least once in your life
