Been coming here for decades. Very good. My milk shake wasnt mixed up as good as it could. As the bottom was darker and stronger in flavor. But the top still had good flavor. It was a busy time, so understandable.

Very iconic burger joint in Calgary. Nice staff, very kind that they explained why we should get a small fries for two (small fries, enough for two, trust me! Lol) I had a double cheese burger works, it was very good, very juicy meat patty
There are many benches around the drive in. We can also drive to Prince s Island Park and eat there, such a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Definitely recommend here for weekend treat for you:)

A Calgary institution. Solid burgers, great milkshakes, deliciously fresh fries.

A Calgary institution. Burgers are above average, milkshakes, fries and onion rings are exceptional. You might wait a long time depending when you go, try to avoid peak meal times.

Peters is always epic, the food is classic drive through fare, and the quality is top-notch. A veritable Calgary staple, my personal fave is a double cheeseburger with onion rings and a Blackberry/Raspberry/Vanilla shake.

Just returned from Peter's drive in. Have visited it for over 20 years and enjoyed it overtime. Tonight was ridiculous. The line was to the road, which is not unusual. It moved rather slow, but when it came time to split we went to the left hand side. Both lines were fully busy. After we split to the left we then stopped. 6 cars from the window and it took us 40 minutes to get up to the window and get our food. The right side of the building would have three to four cars go to every one on the left. It was beyond ridiculous. At one point I walked to the window and mentioned that the line was extremely slow compared to the other side. I was told that the other side had double staff because it was busier. Since both lines were as long, that made no sense. Again a 5 minute wait for the car ahead of us. They were furious- cars behind us were honking, everyone was frustrated and loosing patience. Again I walked to the front to mention to them what was going on in the line. The manager Paula was there. She again reiterated that the other side was busier and so they had more people on. I pointed out that both lines were as long, and people were fed up. She proceeded to argue with the lady in front of us who was currently at the window and had had enough. Regardless of how horrendously slow our line was she was not going to do anything to help it. This manager was incompetent in dealing with the situation and running the restaurant. When we finally got our order it was wrong. The strawberry banana shake was a banana shake, though the right order was written on the side. It was also melted and we were not given straws.
Hopefully Peter's will address this issue with management.

Old school drive-in with all the favourite burgers, fries and onion rings! They have 50+ flavours of milkshakes. You can mix up to 3 different flavours! A must when in Calgary!

Classic diner, don't expect anything too much more. Simple and good. Milkshakes are also worth getting.

Always good to stop in for classic Peter's burger even with snow on the ground!!! I enjoyed their old fries compared to the ones they serve now.

Best Milkshakes ever my favourite one is the watermelon milkshake there poutine is fantastic this is the peter's that's great.

A Calgary staple and one of my favorite burger places, but not now. I would give more stars but they are handling their traffic terribly. It's great to see them so busy and I wish them all the best, but without managing their traffic better they are being very inconsiderate. They have their own huge, mostly empty parking that they could be snaking traffic through. But instead they choose to let traffic back up on 16th. With no regard for other drivers. An easy fix, but they choose not to bother. Unfortunate for them too as I'm sure they would be even busier.

I totally understand why this diner has stood the test of time. Good burgers, thick milkshakes and large portions. The picnic area out back is a wonderful surprise in middle of city.

Burgers are medicore (but that's kinda the point) fries and shakes are great!

Peters drive in is a classic in Calgary. Their milkshakes are gray and you get 1.5 patties when you order a single burger, its their signature. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a old school drive in stop.

This place has gone down hill. It use to be amazing. The milkshakes are good. But i hope you got good sucking power cause they're so thick u basically need a spoon to eat them. The burgers are way over priced, lack flavor and come out soggy and not warm. The fries are also extremely large for a small and come out cold as well why not have a small fries for half the price and half the size.

Nice chain. Very busy, so only go to this location if you've got a lot of time, or go to the front and order, rather than going through the drive-thru. I prefer the red deer location for it's indoor space, but the food is about the same.

Great service, quick and efficient. Made several modifications to our order and everything was captured correctly. Really appreciated the kind server who was patient with us. Thank you Peters!

Best burgers and milkshakes, great covid compliant option

I grew up with Peter's Drive In as a staple. It's nothing what it used to be and it was disappointing. The fries were gross, the burgers were bland. The milkshakes were great.

The very best burgers. What I miss about Calgary. I've likely eaten over 4500 burgers there. Sadly original owner Gus passed away but new owners keeping 100% his menu. My biggest burger was 8 patties about 1965 Thanksgiving weekend. Dan good

Classic drive thru, with walk ups. Super fast, and well worth the visit. Don't be surprised if it's busy, and definitely don't let that keep you from stopping.

gotta love Peter's only place that hasn't downsized their burgers

Milkshake was very good (I had the butterscotch and I recommend it). The burger and poutine were good but nothing special, however the poutine was A LOT of food

very busy..we notice some youngsters not wearing mask by AHS. Bylaw should be in this area and handing out tickets. Overall the food came out as fast as the staff can .

Love the flavour combos for the milkshakes and portion sizes for the food, I just wish the straws were thicker for the milkshakes

Stopping at Peter's when you are out 'n about, is great idea!

Not the same as the original Peter's...burger meat is smaller...and buns have changed. Same taste tho

Average at best. I agree they're not the best burgers and fries any longer. When I was a kid we used to come through Calgary to go to Banff and always stopped at Peter's for a burger, fries and a shake. I always remembered how good it was. Been in Calgary now for about 8 years and sadly it's not the same. Fries are small and soggy, gravy is not good at all and the burgers are just ok.
I don't believe anything will change as any time I drive by, the line-ups are still long and the drive thru is full. So I guess there's a big market for average food.

I don't understand the hype behind this place. Service took forever. There were not very many toppings available for the burgers; this made them taste bland and boring. Our fries were cold. The Oreo milkshake was tasty but not outstanding. Parking was inadequate.

Food is absolutely delicious for a decent price. The line of cars in the drive-thru can get very long from noon to 6:30 or later depending on the day.

They give you lots of food, but the quality has gone down. Unfortunately the line ups are atrocious.

Still good but not the same as the original. The service for walk up was slow today compared when I used to frequent in the 80's and 90"s. I ordered 2 single burgers and with almost no lineup it took 10 min.3

A classic place for the best milkshakes. Burgers are good, many toppings are request only. Now accepting debit! Totally check this place out. Added bonus are the seagull collection that I like to run through at the end
