An absolute must for locals to try. Not the cheapest or best burger place in town, but it is so consistently good and the portions are all large that it makes it worth it. The onion rings are literally heaven.
I don't really understand the hype. As a vegetarian, it's not a great choice but as it wasn't my choice for this visit, it did the trick. The were quick, burger was decent, lots of fries.

The food can be good but depending on the time of day you come the crowds can turn you off the place. I would avoid late night.

The burgers were so tasteless and the sauce was bad. The fries were average but the onion rings were ok and do was the gravy. My wife and I both have bad reactions to their food now and stuck in a car driving. Tums aren't even helping.

It's Peter's. Onion rings are great, burgers are great, and the milkshakes are phenomenal. There's a reason they've been around for so long.

If you want a good milkshake in Calgary, this is the place to go. You can't beat a Peter's milkshake. However in my opinion, I think that the burgers are quite overrated. I only come to Peter's for the milkshakes.

Milkshakes are addicting, burgers are only good as soon as you get them they get disgustingly soggy very quickly. Avoid lettuce if your not gonna be able to eat it for a min.

Peter's is a great place to go to have a good meal. Mind you, it's the standard burger and milkshakes array, but the burgers are great, and the milkshakes are too, and highly customisable.

Went to peters drive in on a motorcycle. though this would be fine because of the pandemic we cannot go to the front window as usual and I have space on my motorcycle to put the food. after waiting in line which started in the middle of 16ave i finally turned into the drive trough for peters. i was waiting patiently like everyone else when I was yelled at and flagged down by one of the staff members so basically waved for me to leave in a rude manner.
Not only was I insulted and humiliated, i also felt discriminating against for riding on 2 wheels. the employee didn't even have the audacity to come face to face to explain why I was not allowed to eat at their establishment.
I still do not understand why I cannot go with my motorcycle as no one was able to explain when I called that same night.
The staff are quick when they have a big rush of people and are food was delicious as always!

Took home fries and cheeseburger and shake. I live 2 hours away. I couldn't eat the burger. Hubby ate half that night and it was amazing. I ate the other half 2 days later...omg it was still amazing even microwaved!!!!!
Not as great as I remember. Probably wont go again. I can find another place to spend $50 that would taste better.
Been coming here since a little kid. Burgers are the highlight with their secret BBQ sauce, mustard and relish. Even with the "single"burger you get one and a half patties. Lots of milkshakes flavors to choose from. Park and pick up order is quicker than using the drive through

Iconic Calgary burger joint situation on 16th Ave NW. Dual drive thru makes for quicker service at this oft busy famed food joint. During the summer and warm evening don t hesitate to park in the lot next door and walk up to the window to order, the take your meal to a nearby picnic table to enjoy. Their 100 s of milkshake options come about by the option to mix and match flavours at no extra charge. Huge orders of fries and onion rings are always a pleaser!

Been going to Peter's since I was a kid. Its gone through some changes over the years with the new owners (a few years back). Food still tastes GREAT.
It amazes me that after nearly 60 years, this is still the most consistent and best quality drive-in burger you can buy in Calgary.
Decided to go tonight, regretted it. The food has only gotten worse over the years. My burger was a single burger and a shake. The burger tasted like nothing at all, if it wasn't for the BBQ sauce (or whatever the sauce was) it would had tasted nothing. It's sad when the bun is the best part. My milkshake pretty much just tasted like vanilla with some flavoring, not at all what it used to taste or be. The plus was that the service was fast. Sorry guys not coming back until it gets better.

While the food was good the service was very lacking. Our order taker was rude and pushy and we had to repeat ourselves about 10 times as they were not paying attention. I never thought I would post a 3 star rating for Peter's but alas here we are. The food is still a 5 in my books however they may want to brush up on their customer service skills.
Very delicious food! It s always a great time to drive through peters drive in and get some delicious food, they have some very unique burgers and their selection of milkshakes is huge, you can go in everyday for a month and still have not tried all their excellent combinations!

Incredibly long lineups, always. Poor service, always. It s obviously a cash cow for whoever owns it at this point, but I consider it to be a complete waste of time and money. Eat healthier food elsewhere.

This is the home to the best burgers on earth. Their milkshakes are also really good and their fries soaked in vinegar are basically what heaven tastes like if you scrunched heaven up into a box of fries and then drenched it with vinegar. Quite good. And it's always fun to go through the drive thru and make fun of the people standing in line.
