Used to live basically across the street. Great Milkshakes, and the BEST poutine (they have great gravy and the fries are perfect for poutine). Living in California now and I really miss that poutine, portion is large so it is perfect for sharing...poutine does not keep well ;)
I never was a huge fan of their burgers, but my husband sure loved them.

They've got two drive-thru windows and four walk-up windows, and are quick with their orders, without losing quality in the meals.
Obviously a great place, because it's lined up constantly!

It's amazing that their cheeseburgers, onion rings and milkshakes are always cooked to perfection, tasting EXACTLY as they have since the first ones I had 40+ years ago!

A welcome treat in these take out lockdown days, I highly recommend Peters. Worth the wait in the drive thru lineups.

When in Calgary, this is THE place to stop for a burger and milkshake. Between the burger's secret sauce and the thousands of milkshake flavor combinations, this place has stood the test of time. Orders are delivered quickly, and there is a huge parking lot with many picknick tables to enjoy the meal.

My kids love the shakes but we need to remember to ask for kids size instead of wasting so much of the big size. Plain old burger fries and hot dogs rounded out with a shake and big straw to drink it with.

If you are ever visiting Calgary, this is a must-do! Great burgers. The onion rings are amazing. And the milkshakes...they are the best ever! I strongly recommend the Cherry Chocolate, or Strawberry Pineapple, or if you're feeling adventurous, go for the Pumpkin Pie!!

milkshakes are great. My concern would be to fix the PA System. We ordered specific milkshakes they were committed in hearing what they wanted to hear so we just agreed and told them st the window what we ordered specifically. Order was fixed right away. Just good for thought clear communication just makes things better and faster.

I was raised in Southern Alberta and we would always make a trip to Peters' Drive-In when we were visiting Calgary. I now live thousands of kilometers away but every time I fly into Calgary I head to Peters for the great food at a great price. It's become a family tradition! Which flavour of milkshake will be your next favourite?

Burgers and Shakes are always consistant and tasty. Service moves along rather quickly both drive through and walk-up. We have been coming here from south end of city for 50 yrs . Nick and Frannie

The milkshakes are to die for! Whether it's the milkshake of the day or your own concoction of up to 3 flavours, it's a must try for a hot summer day. There are a few picnic benches too - definitely family friendly!

I suggest the new owners rename the place 'Used To Be Peter's Drive-in' since the iconic burger stand has died a quick and painful death. Having grown up in Calgary, I was accustomed to going to Peter's and revelling in fast food heaven. The mere thought of their thick, golden fries and dense, creamy milkshakes was enough to get my gastric juices flowing. My last couple of trips there had my gastric juices sorely disappointed with some type of cold, hash brown size french fries and a shake which resembled a syrupy mixture. I thought that the first time I received this that perhaps they were low on supplies or had an off day. The last time I went, I surmised this was the new of way of doing things. All I'm left to say is RIP Gus and RIP Peter's Drive-in. It was a lovely relationship but it's clear it's over.

Milkshakes are now just flavoured icecream instead of real fruit.
Burgers are more bun than patty.
Fries and onion rings are typical fast food.
Only thing still "Peters" is the sauce the burgers are doused in.

Really long line up during the pandemic, however, worth the wait! We were lucky enough to only wait in line for 30 min during dinner rush hour. If you are planning to go here during rush hour, expect about 30 to 60 min wait.

Food was as expected for a drive-in, but better than most establishment in Calgary. The staff were friendly and quick with the service. Onions rings were good, burgers had a lot of meat and worth every penny. Milkshakes tasted pretty good, but they do run thick. Overall all a good experience.

For some reason, Calgarians think this place is the greatest drive thru ever.
If you are not born and raised here and brainwashed to believe Peter s is the be-all-end-all of drive-thrus then you will be massively disappointed.
The burgers are seriously awful. Some of the worst I ve ever tasted. The milkshakes are literally just blended hard ice cream. The fries were unremarkable.
I can t believe people continue to line this place up, it seriously blows my mind.

Amazing value, great quality and impressive service. Aa triple cheeseburger and family fries (more than we could eat) plus a milkshake. Puts our country (England) to shame with the value this gave us. Wish we had them at home!
