Everything is amazing. I also discovered the best milkshake combination- it tastes exactly like key lime pie....but I'm not telling you.

Always a great place for nice food, and to watch the world go by.
Long waits late on a Sunday evening as a testament to the quality of the establishment. Fantastic burgers & shakes did not disappoint!
Great burgers and awesome milkshakes...French fries are expensive and substandard on a consistent basis. (Limp, greasy)
This place has gone down hill since it was bought out. Find somewhere else.
Shakes are great but very very sugary! Be ready for at least 30~40 minutes in drive through. Popular place but food doesn t match the popularity. Staff is always in hurry and big rush. Bad customer experience overall.
Great value for milkshakes, burgers and fries. It's a must have if you are visiting Calgary!
Okay, if you live in Calgary and you've not been to Peter's Drive-in, then you're not a Calgarian, actually. This place is a landmark in the city, and the food is right outta the 50s and 60s - great stuff. It's always concerned me slightly that the staff is entirely clothed in nursing scrubs, but I haven't had a bad experience yet. The milkshakes and onion rings are to die for, and the burgers are pretty good too. Advice: I don't know why you'd drive through this place, I think that takes for ever. They have a massive parking lot, so just park, walk to the window, order your food, and hang out on a summer's evening.
I havent been to Peters drive in for almost 20 years. It is so great to go there and find that they are still as delicious as always.
Different flies and McDonald's patties not exactly what Peter's drive-thru used to be
Had the cheeseburger with small fries (which is easily extra large fries by fast food standards) and a new special eggnog shake. Best budget restaurant for a reason, loved it, will be back!
Large shakes and tons of choices. The onion rings are good. Portions seem to be a bit smaller than in the past but still larger than other places. The burgers are okay - adding tomato and lettuce helps.
An amazing family and friend experience accompanied by amazing food! The shakes are a must!
Gone down hill over the years, still a good stop for milkshakes
Good food, fun environment. Terrible customer service. I used the walk-up window, purchased 2 milkshakes, and waited 16 minutes for my shakes.
Bring back Peter!
It's a okay place to be. Milkshake isn't what I had years ago. Consistency is off plus my milkshake was already melted when I got it.
Great food/shakes and are fast. Don't let the lineups stop you, they hammer through very fast!!
The milkshakes are fantastic and wait times were not as bad as I thought.
Food quality has gone down over the years. But still a unique burger
Food was prepared pretty fast, as one would expect. Burger patties were tasty.... But very thin! For the price, I would have expected a bit more party. Fries and shake were incredible! That said, I possibly will return.
The real John. A real life burger. It looks cheap and simple, but it is really delicious. Please enjoy the potato fries mayonnaise. There are many kinds of shakes, and they are huge and delicious. I want to go back to Calgary to eat this hamburger. A real jewel.
Love the burgers and milkshake here, the staff can be hit or miss. Not a big fan of their French fries however.
I have never really thought much of Peter's... My husband loves it - but I think it's bland. The staff is super nice though.
1st time here. Dbl burger, fries & gravy, excellent. Shakes are super thick.
Burgers have gone down in quality but, shakes are still awesome!
Get the milkshakes, onion rings and/or poutine. Skip the burgers.
Huge orders of fries, good burgers with fried onions, awesome shakes at a decent price. Worth stopping in.
Kids size dipped cones used to be like $0.25. I'm pretty sure last year they were a dollar 25. Now they're basically 2.50. I get that knew owners probably had to pay millions for this place and now just need to earn a return on their capital, but I'm going to spend $3 next time and get Village, Fiasco, or Marcus. Much better quality and great taste too.
No options even remotely healthy so don't expect any junk alternatives.
Great milkshakes. A staple in the local area. I am not a fan of either their burgers nor their fries and once you subtract those the menu becomes quite bare
Took a trip to Calgary to visit a few friends, they insisted we go to Peter's. Being from the US, I'd never heard of this place, but I love milkshakes so I put up no resistance. I ordered a plain cheeseburger and a shake. The food was good, nothing to write home about, but good! The reason for the low rating is their severe lack of customer service. I paid with USD, which they accepted after a moment's hesitation, but refused to compensate for the different values between USD and CAD. I asked if I could get my money back and pay with my debit card instead, but I was refused and told I was holding up the line.
Local greatness. Great food and service. Even if its busy people help with a smile.
Great shakes and the burgers have an extra 1/2 patty inside!
Just the best fast food Burger and Shakes in the West.
Honestly, Peters' is just okay. I've lived in Calgary 30+ years and I've never been able to figure out why it is as popular as it is. The shakes and sundaes are fantastic, but that's where it ends. The rest of the fast food is mediocre at best.
Great place for young and old. Great value and decent food
Always super busy at 8pm. Drive through backed up and onto the road. Your better to park in behind in the parking lot and walking up to the window. As always well worth the wait.
Peter's is Calgary's classic drive-in. Good burgers with no veggies, large variety of milkshakes, good fries served in large portions and onion rings. I always make a stop when I'm nearby.
Love the burgers and milkshakes here. Been coming here since the 80s. Always will visit when I am back in Calgary.
Much love for this place! Can be slow but it's always worth it.
If you like milkshakes and a temporary solutions to life's problems Peters' Drive In may be right for you.
It is the drive in you can't drive by always a need
The line moves pretty steady, and the food is well worth the wait! Best milkshakes in town and you get way more fries than you'd expect! Casual, affordable and easy with kids.
My partner and I live within walking distance and have both lived in Calgary our whole lives - so we have collectively been to Peters' over 150 times since childhood. Today we parked in the Peters' large parking lot, went to the neighbouring business (Coco), and were "welcomed" back to the parking lot by an angry woman telling people to go back to their cars. She was a middle-aged, taller, Caucasian woman driving a white Range Rover. My partner and I were really confused and thought there was a dispute by the woman's unwelcoming body language and yelling to about 4 other people. We came closer and in a VERY condescending loud voice and angry look, she told us to note for next time, not to park in that parking lot if we were going to Coco.
We were stunned and in shock. We realized we were wrong for parking at Peters' after seeing the signs, and are sorry. But the first thing we both said to each other when we got in the car is that "we are never going to Peters' again". Yes, we parked in private property. But chances if you use the businesses beside Peters'... you go to Peters' too. So for this woman to talk to numerous Coco customers like they were idiots... chances are, she was talking to Peters' customers too. And by the shocked looks on other peoples' faces, she probably lost those customers too. There is nothing wrong for protecting your private property, but as an assumed business owner or manager, you also need to be respectful to your current and potential customers. Alternatively, she could have kindly asked in a respectful tone not to park there again. And we would have apologized and listened. There were also 5-10 times were we have gotten both Peters' and Coco, or planned to go to Coco and ended up going to Peters'. So perhaps it would also be smart to lease a row of parking lots to Coco and at least profit off being close to another busy business. She was speaking on behalf of Peters' and now is a reflection of Peters' as a company. Disappointing.
It used to be a treat for us as kids. Fries and burgers are no longer the same. They should have NEVER changed the food :( We used to stop every time we were in the city but no longer do. Bring back the old way...
Im almost positive that this place pays for their google review. There is no way this place has 4.5 stars. Every friend Iv been here with only comes here for the milkshake. The burgers and fries are disgusting and you end up waiting a long time for food. Last time I was here I waited 30 mins. Their service is terrible so I wont be coming here again
Great place for old fashioned Burger,Fries, milkshakes, sundaes, bananna splits. Generous portions.
Always great burgers and shakes. Onion rings are awesome. A small order of fries is more than enough for 2 people. Sit outside at picnic tables and enjoy the trees and the birds.
Best Milk Shakes in Alberta, possibly Canada. You can mix/match flavors, and the portion size's are extremely generous. The food is great too if you want a full meal. They only take Debit and Cash though, so come prepared.
Great burger and banana split. We are them before we could even get a picture.
You gotta do it. Large is very large, so be warned.
Love the milk shakes, gotta get a milk shake. Chocolate mint is the best! Burgers are good and the fries are huge. Don`t go here if you are on a diet!
I Asked them FOUR times to make sure none of my burgurs had relish on them. And not one, not two, but ALL of my burgurs had relish on them. The service at Peter s has really gone down hill the past year. So so so dissapointed!
Probably one of the best burger places in Calgary. A must if you visit Calgary. Make sure to order the large fry!
Good shake, thick, tasty.
Burger patties used to be alot bigger in yester-years. They are thin and small now.
Used to fit the bun, now the patties easily disappear in the bun. Still tasty.
If you're in Calgary and you don't check out Peter's then you are clearly missing out
