Shakes are great but very very sugary! Be ready for at least 30~40 minutes in drive through. Popular place but food doesn t match the popularity. Staff is always in hurry and big rush. Bad customer experience overall.

Okay, if you live in Calgary and you've not been to Peter's Drive-in, then you're not a Calgarian, actually. This place is a landmark in the city, and the food is right outta the 50s and 60s - great stuff. It's always concerned me slightly that the staff is entirely clothed in nursing scrubs, but I haven't had a bad experience yet. The milkshakes and onion rings are to die for, and the burgers are pretty good too. Advice: I don't know why you'd drive through this place, I think that takes for ever. They have a massive parking lot, so just park, walk to the window, order your food, and hang out on a summer's evening.

Had the cheeseburger with small fries (which is easily extra large fries by fast food standards) and a new special eggnog shake. Best budget restaurant for a reason, loved it, will be back!

Large shakes and tons of choices. The onion rings are good. Portions seem to be a bit smaller than in the past but still larger than other places. The burgers are okay - adding tomato and lettuce helps.

Food was prepared pretty fast, as one would expect. Burger patties were tasty.... But very thin! For the price, I would have expected a bit more party. Fries and shake were incredible! That said, I possibly will return.

The real John. A real life burger. It looks cheap and simple, but it is really delicious. Please enjoy the potato fries mayonnaise. There are many kinds of shakes, and they are huge and delicious. I want to go back to Calgary to eat this hamburger. A real jewel.

Kids size dipped cones used to be like $0.25. I'm pretty sure last year they were a dollar 25. Now they're basically 2.50. I get that knew owners probably had to pay millions for this place and now just need to earn a return on their capital, but I'm going to spend $3 next time and get Village, Fiasco, or Marcus. Much better quality and great taste too.

No options even remotely healthy so don't expect any junk alternatives.

Took a trip to Calgary to visit a few friends, they insisted we go to Peter's. Being from the US, I'd never heard of this place, but I love milkshakes so I put up no resistance. I ordered a plain cheeseburger and a shake. The food was good, nothing to write home about, but good! The reason for the low rating is their severe lack of customer service. I paid with USD, which they accepted after a moment's hesitation, but refused to compensate for the different values between USD and CAD. I asked if I could get my money back and pay with my debit card instead, but I was refused and told I was holding up the line.

Honestly, Peters' is just okay. I've lived in Calgary 30+ years and I've never been able to figure out why it is as popular as it is. The shakes and sundaes are fantastic, but that's where it ends. The rest of the fast food is mediocre at best.

My partner and I live within walking distance and have both lived in Calgary our whole lives - so we have collectively been to Peters' over 150 times since childhood. Today we parked in the Peters' large parking lot, went to the neighbouring business (Coco), and were "welcomed" back to the parking lot by an angry woman telling people to go back to their cars. She was a middle-aged, taller, Caucasian woman driving a white Range Rover. My partner and I were really confused and thought there was a dispute by the woman's unwelcoming body language and yelling to about 4 other people. We came closer and in a VERY condescending loud voice and angry look, she told us to note for next time, not to park in that parking lot if we were going to Coco.

We were stunned and in shock. We realized we were wrong for parking at Peters' after seeing the signs, and are sorry. But the first thing we both said to each other when we got in the car is that "we are never going to Peters' again". Yes, we parked in private property. But chances if you use the businesses beside Peters'... you go to Peters' too. So for this woman to talk to numerous Coco customers like they were idiots... chances are, she was talking to Peters' customers too. And by the shocked looks on other peoples' faces, she probably lost those customers too. There is nothing wrong for protecting your private property, but as an assumed business owner or manager, you also need to be respectful to your current and potential customers. Alternatively, she could have kindly asked in a respectful tone not to park there again. And we would have apologized and listened. There were also 5-10 times were we have gotten both Peters' and Coco, or planned to go to Coco and ended up going to Peters'. So perhaps it would also be smart to lease a row of parking lots to Coco and at least profit off being close to another busy business. She was speaking on behalf of Peters' and now is a reflection of Peters' as a company. Disappointing.

Im almost positive that this place pays for their google review. There is no way this place has 4.5 stars. Every friend Iv been here with only comes here for the milkshake. The burgers and fries are disgusting and you end up waiting a long time for food. Last time I was here I waited 30 mins. Their service is terrible so I wont be coming here again

Best Milk Shakes in Alberta, possibly Canada. You can mix/match flavors, and the portion size's are extremely generous. The food is great too if you want a full meal. They only take Debit and Cash though, so come prepared.

I Asked them FOUR times to make sure none of my burgurs had relish on them. And not one, not two, but ALL of my burgurs had relish on them. The service at Peter s has really gone down hill the past year. So so so dissapointed!

Good shake, thick, tasty.

Good shake, thick, tasty.
Burger patties used to be alot bigger in yester-years. They are thin and small now.
Used to fit the bun, now the patties easily disappear in the bun. Still tasty.
