Pericos Mexican Restaurant Review

Food was great and plentiful. Service was wonderful. My only comment was the menus needed a good wiping down.

Our family loves going to this restaurant! Their Tacos Ricos appetizer and Empanadas are my favorite! 10/10 recommend!

Service here was really bad. Took awhile for us to get our food & we had to ask Several times for refills on drinks. Granted we went on a night of highschool graduations, however I've been to restaurants during peak season like graduations & the service was still good. Not so much here. Food was ok, but probably won't be going back.

Manny always takes great care of me! The food is fantastic. I just had the tortilla soup and it was wonderful.

Food tasted good and the staff seemed considerate and sincere.

Ive never been to a Mexican restaurant that didnt offer complimentary chips and salsa with your meal. Street tacos and empanadas were lacking flavor. Tasted like ground beef with no spices.

The food is good but I won't be going back because they charge for chips. There's many other places just as good that don't charge for chips.

Consistency is the key to the food business success, and these guys knowsall about. Excelente food quality, customer care, authenticity in decorations and go above and beyond for the customer. A hidden gem in SA.

Terrible customer service with the exception of the busboys. Waited 10 minutes to get a damn drink order from my waiter, who proceeded to ignore me during the visit (probably because I was by myself but even so you don't do that to your customers) and he decided that socializing was better than servicing a consumer. Will probably not come here again.

This restaurant plays Tejano Music and not Banda "Mexican" Music. I love me some Tejano. Their Mango Margaritas are reallt good. I enjoyed the chile that was put on the rim of the glass instead of sugar or salt! Try it!

Had a horrible experience this evening with the staff. We were having a going away dinner and had a party of 9. Not only did our waiter disappear for almost an hour, he forgot items ordered, did not refill drinks, and some of our dishes were served cold. When we went to complain, it took almost 15 minutes for the manager to come address our table. This used to be a great place to come relax and eat but unfortunately that is no longer the case.

Out of all the mexican food places in this city Pericos will always be one of my favorites. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly.

This may not mean much since I'm from Maryland, but this was the best Tex-Mex I've ever had! So much great food for reasonable prices. Very friendly staff and quick service!

If you go between 12:00pm and 2:00pm fantastic service awesome food too.

Always good food...I drive 30 minuted from Boerne cause it's that good. Excellent server...Mando gets 5 stars

We went to Perricos a couple days ago. This was my first time at Perricos and we had a wonderful dinner. Our server Manny was wonderful he did such an amazing job and so patient with us. The managers Crystal and Oscar even checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed! They were all so very patient and helpful. I always pay attention to staff everywhere I go and they were amazing and very professional. We will definitely be returning back. And I will be recommending Perricos to all my friends and family. Thank you again for a great experience.

This place is popular with groups but also families. Haven't had a bad meal here.

Always very busy but that never affects the amazing and attentive service.

Love this Mexican Restaurant and the $3 Margaritas are great! The Mariachis are a bonus. My hubby requested they play a song for me and I was surprised they knew it!!

Pericos has great food and excellent service. I would recommend the Bandera Road location to anyone.

Our Experience today at Perico s was very nice our waiter manny was very attentive to us and helped us order our food. He also kept our drinks filled .

Quality Tex mex food. It never disappoints me. The iced tea has lemon in it- which is delicious. The enchiladas are very good, as well as the puffy tacos.

The food is always delicious! Prices are reasonable and they have great service! The Perico's queso is definitely a family favorite!

A little pricey fro Mexican food but our service was excellent and the ambience is nice.

If you have a big party.. they have a big room for it.. right next to the bar where i was sitting, drinks are always good, my favorite is the perfecto margarita, Antonio always make great ones, very refreshing, i highly recomment this place 100%

Another established Mexican food restaurant in a large metropolitan city in South Texas. Food was good. service was good, prices reasonable. All in all a good experience. If one does not know the area, may be hard to find. Good place to take the family.

Very good place to relax and enjoy dinner. But make sure if you order drinks, check your bill you order one thing and they charge for a different type of drink.

Food was good but the service was pretty bad. Our server was so slow and in the end he was handing wrong credit cards out to wrong tables. It was obvious that other customers were also looking for their servers. I witnessed one customer even go into the kitchen looking for any server just to get service.

Pretty good taste, very filling. Waitstaff was very nice. Not as spicey and complex as I'd prefer, but I think that could be just what I ordered. Great looking place- gets busy and crowded fast.

Been to pericos a few years back, and was seriously disappointed, so today we decided to give it another shot and man I was surprised, the tacos ricos were amazing and my wife loved her entree, definitely made up for the past times and big thank you to Manny for making the whole experience awesome, great server and super friendly.

Came in on a Sunday Morning and decided to sit at the bar. I am glad I did! We were met by Rene a superb bartender who from the first minute made me feel welcomed! We had drinks and brunch and it was great!! We will be back and I will look for Rene again!! Thanks!!!

Excellent live music, excellent service and excellent dishes

They set up a late birthday party of over 14 and gave us some of the best service I have had. The food was great and my daughter had a wonderful experience for her birthday. They waiting staff were cery friendly and professional. My party enjoyed the margaritas and everyone said they really enjoyed the restaurant. I will come back to just to enjoy them again.

What mesh not going back to this place Margaritas warm and watery wait staff not very there when you need them kind of a dirty place been there a couple times and each time never really liked it won't go back for sure
