Incredible food. Great atmosphere. Service is wonderful. I had the strip and grilled veggies; it came out steaming hot and perfectly cooked. There is an upstairs and downstairs, but regardless, try to come on a Sunday to enjoy the Jazz!! Started with the cucumber and tomato salad that ALSO came with avocado, onion, and spring greens, with balsamic. Highly recommended when in Doylestown.
Good food in a fantastic atmosphere. Outdoor dining area is very cozy with shade trees and brick pavers and is well maintained.
The service and professionalism is extremely lacking! The beer is often good, that's the two star part (would have been three, but draft changed). The rest is extremely loose. The wait staff is untrained and often adrift, as in likely lifted (above the customer). From check books kept in the back waist belt, to open wounds exposed, the food and drink is brought down by the front of house. The host portion has always been welcoming. If Pag's outdoor chairs were a little more comfortable, Pag's would be the sure pick everyday.

Visiting family and treated them to lunch here. Great place to hang out on the patio, relax, have a beer and enjoy fantastic food. The fries are something special. Highly recommend and hope to come again!

This is doubtless one of the coolest restaurants in the region. Every time I visit this place I am greatly pleased. They always keep their high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they offer. You no doubt will love this restaurant. Very recommended.
Good drink selection, food was OK but we only ordered appetizers, staff was friendly, and best of all they are dog friendly. Overall good experience. Highly recommend.
Good food and friendly staff. Love the Cheesesteak Eggrolls with Sriracha Ketchup. Their french fries are on point as well as their buffalo chicken dip, and I have never heard a friend complain about anything they've ordered.
Okay food, but if you're not white be prepared for at least some looks from the staff and other patrons.

Great outdoor dining! Has heaters on chilly fall nights. Menu has variety of items. Their salads, burgers, the buff chicken wrap are all delicious. Prices are great for food and drinks, more than reasonable. Try a side of old bay chips while you are waiting for your meal- it wont disappoint. Also, this place is dog friendly! Gave my little boy a water bowl to drink from. They are also doing a great job with covid guidelines, felt safe and clean. They wipe down all seating and table after each party leaves.
I celebrated my PhD earlier this evening in this excellent restaurant. Well we enjoyed a pleasant evening and the venue was no doubt one of the reasons for this successful celebration. The crew contributed in a graceful manner, the cooking was delicious and my friends were very cheerful. We shall definitely come back again for more events. thanks very much.

Finally had their Philly Cheesesteak and I have to say it is really tasty. The meat was savory and they nailed the roll, which is as important.
This is an interesting bar with a really nice outdoor seating area, it's roomie and has good seating. The indoor area is a bit tight but it does have a cool bar with a nice wait staff that will serve you rater promptly and a good pour. The beer selection is good and worth going to though I would wait till summer so you can use the outdoor seating.
Food was fresh and tasty. Staff was friendly and attentive. They are very good at keeping customers safe. We had a nice night out.

Great views of you can get a good seat by the window, want crowded when I was here so we got the best seat long down on the street. I'd suggest going during off peak hours.

The wasn't a wait. The waitress was very friendly. The burger I ordered was delicious. The food was reasonably priced for the area.
It took 40 minutes for a burger and a sandwich to arrive. When I said I was not happy about this the waiter apologized and other tables had been waiting longer. Really? The excuse is your kitchen is that bad? When asked what could be done to make it up to us I said, comping the meal would do. She came back and said the manager would not do that. No counter offer of any kind. No offer of a round of drinks, dessert, nothing. Just, no. And, the manager did not have the courtesy to even come talk to us himself. He just used his waiter to do his job. I definitely say, STAY AWAY FROM THE PENN TAPROOM! Management seems to not care about their customers experience.

The fried mozzarella is simply the best I've ever had. It's real fresh mozz, lightly breaded and fried. Sublime.
The wings were a good size and the maple bourbon sauce was tasty, but it was too thin and dripped off the wings.
The State Street Spicy burger was great as a concept, but mine was aimed for medium and came out well done. Also, $13 for a burger with just chips and a three dollar up charge for fries or a salad is a little pricey.
Overall recommended.

Nice place to sit outside with a burger and a beer. It's on the inexpensive side for Doylestown. The bar is lively and has a decent craft beer selection. Staff are friendly and attentive. This is a prime spot for locals to frequent. On the busiest nights it can get a little loud inside.
Great place overall! Superior food and service. Social distancing plan works well. Major complaint is that everything except the beer was served in styrofoam. There are other options for eco friendly containers. The styrofoam waste is unnecessary and irresponsible.
Friendly and quick service, Cowboy burger was so so and the cesar salad left things to be desired. The pricing is a tad high, but, it's Doylestown so one should anticipate this.
Can't go wrong with the burgers. Great every time! And bring the tacos back!!

On the plus side, the outdoors terrace is a beautiful and quiet place to have lunch, and the service is attentive and friendly. However, the entrees ordered during our visit were not particularly tasty (the crab in the crab and endive salad tasted like tuna; and the fish tacos were unseasoned and did not come with siracha sauce as advertised), the Chardonnay house wine was completely unrefreshing, and the Mojito was the worst I've ever sampled.

I had a wonderful experience. The food was great, especially the homemade chocolate mouse cake, the outside seating was nice and the service was good. I would definitely go back. I would have gone 5-star if the inside bathroom and seating area & bar was newer and cleaner.

Until today, I've my opinion has always been that Penn Taproom has the best bar food in Doylestown, and had told many leople as much. Not today. The burger had to be 30% smaller than I've ever been served. Could have lived with that, but I ordered medium rare. To say the burger I was served was well done would be kind. Over well done would be accurate. Would have liked to tell the server as much, but he never asked. Too many choices in this town. Will be a while (at best) before I'm back.
Ate lunch there on Saturday,the food was disgusting.. chicken tenders on the kids menu where burnt and overcooked,the salad we ordered looked like it was made with expired lettuce with the same nasty burnt chicken we didn't eat it.Im not even picky ill eat anything and be happy.We paid and didn't mention anything,took it as a loss.And if the owner/Manager is reading this you know exactly what I'm talking about,don't respond saying you strive for better when you see that nasty stuff leaving the the kitchen every day.
Great food (really like the Pineapple Thai Chicken Wrap) at very reasonable prices. The service is always on point. Loved sitting on the patio even before COVID, but it's even better now with the extra tables on the street.
This was my second time at Penn Taproom. I wasn't impressed the first time nor this time, but wanted to give it a second chance. The food is very bland. The guacamole is 100% store bought and their drinks are watered down. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back.
