Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center Review

Very nice conference location. Facilities are well kept, layout is accommodating and staff are always around but never intrusive. The food prepared here is also very respectable. With a hotel and restaurant connected the Penn Stater is a full service conference center. If attending a multi-day conference the Penn Stater is also located very close to State College, so if you don't want to be cooped up in your room there is plenty to do nearby.

The room was very nice. The staff were very pleasant to deal with. The in hotel restaurants were also very good.

The rooms are always comfortable, amazing food, and incredible staff. All different size conference rooms create an open atmosphere for any meeting, class, ect.

Very nice large room, staff extremely friendly and helpful, clean comfortable room, we had 2 queens, a pullout couch, and a lounge chair, large bath, coffee area with a keurage pot and sink, and a mini fridge. Shuttle available to take you to various places around campus and town. Would definitely come here again, recommended.

So many great things to say about The Penn Stater! I made a reservation for my sister the night before her back surgery at Mt. Nittany Medical Center and the experience was EXCEPTIONAL from start to finish. Maria at the front desk sorted all the details with the reservation: handicapped room, wheelchair, in room food delivery (mobility issues), etc., etc., etc. Maria is great!

The staff at check-in and during her stay all went out-of-their-way to ensure she was comfortable, had everything she needed and were so kind and helpful.

She said the food was AWESOME! She had a late lunch in the dining room with her friend who helped get her checked in and situated. Everything at lunch was delicious. And then had The Penn Stater burger for dinner and couldn't stop raving about it.

The room was VERY clean and a super comfy bed. Handicapped accessibility made it easy to move around and ensure a level of safety that increased her comfortability level.

Thank you, The Penn Stater, for making a less than pleasant life event (back surgery) much more enjoyable. Your guys are GREAT!!!

Attended luncheon in on of the large event rooms. Space is large and well maintained. Service was fine (nothing special).

Wonderful staff! Great facility! This is my 4th year attending the Community of Practice conference. It's always terrific.

This is my absolute favorite hotel!! I highly recommend it to anyone. It is very clean and the staff is amazing.

Excellent room. Very spacious. I like the larger bathroom layout. Use of the shuttle for dinner was very helpful, special thanks to Alex, one of the shuttle drivers!

Great stay. Had an HDMI cable available which we really needed. Would return.

Conferences at the Penn Stater are always nice. The service is attentive, and the meeting rooms are always well-maintained and clean.

I always enjoy conferences at the Penn stater. The only downside is that you ALWAYS need a jacket inside.

Great place for a large conference, several rooms for number of people.

The Penn Stater Hotel has thought of every way to accommodate their guests in the hotel and the convention center. Everything was neat and clean. Food was delicious in both the hotel and convention center. We attended the 95th PA Multiple District Lions Convention for the weekend. I observed this on all 3 days of the convention.

Food is good. service is good rooms ok. Carpet needs upgraded.

I attended a conference here, but did not stay at the hotel, so my review is only in regards to the meeting rooms. Very nice facility. The rooms are quite spacious and can accommodate big meetings and presentations. Easy access to restrooms and break areas.

I went to the Penn Stater for a conference for work. The staff was courteous and helpful when there were little issues. My room was clean and well kept. Housekeeping staff perfected the room every day while I was out in the conference rooms. We ate lunch as a large group at The Gardens. They were especially nice and very helpful with dealing with my food allergy. They always looked for me when I entered the restaurant and made sure that I was set up with something I could safely eat. Checking out was an easy process as well.

I love this hotel very clean very nice staff. I requested connecting rooms in a major I had it happen.

I did not stay overnight, and was only there for a brief conference activity and reception. However, the food service was pleasant and there were a nice selection of cheeses. The chicken teriyaki dumplings were tasty but the dipping sauce was a little alcohol-forward. The venue itself was pleasant, though it seemed pretty much like your average upscale hotel.

I was there for a banquet/award ceremony recently. Loved the catered food! Everything on the buffet was great. The rooms were fairly standard event rooms.

Top of the line service and hospitality. Warning you share a microwave with other rooms next to the pop machines but you do have a fridge in your amazing room.

It has numerous function halls and has very pretty gardens around it. I've not been in any of the rooms.

Good venue for meetings and conferences. Quite a few options and formations depending on the type of discussions we need to have

The pool was not open during the first night of the stay, which was a little saddening. Hopefully day two has an open pool and hot tub area!

We attended a wedding reception and the staff was wonderful and attentive. We had two small children and the staff did a great job making sure they and us have everything we could need. Michael in particular made sure our night was great

Attended for a work conference and stayed at the hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious, having a refrigerator is nice. Conference center is large and able to accommodate a large gathering. Restaurants are not awful but too similar in menu choices to eat there for more than one or two nights.

Plenty of large rooms for various conference needs, excellent audio/visual setups and nice outdoor areas for relaxing. Food was great too.

My wife had a professional conference she attended here for work.The building is beautifull inside and out. Easy to find, we had no issues with parking or finding our way around.

Good facility for conferences and meetings with drinking and dining options. I've never been in any of the hotel rooms, so I'm unable to comment on this aspect.

Location is great if we are going to the football game. Room is nice with a fair amount of amenities. For the price we paid I wish that breakfast was included.

We were here for a Christmas party. The staff was very attentive. The food was exelent ! The hotel is nice but it is a little dated and starting to show ware. Some things in our room need updated to make it a 5 star. Still overall very nice

The Penn Stater is a beautiful place and the food in the restaurant is delicious. I'd definitely recommend it!

Only saw a few areas, so hard to get a good evaluation, but it seemed very nice.

The atmosphere, the people who work there from room service to the front desk are professional and friendly in every way, cant wait till next year
