Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center Review

Very good. Large clean comfortable rooms. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurants but menus looked worth a try. Hotel was a small cut above my normal Hampton or Marriott. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a conference here. Food was good and rooms were nice.

Great location for a conference. The rooms provide lots of flexibility for different size groups and configurations. And the snacks in between sessions are great!

Sunday morning breakfast was excellent. A variety of options from the traditional continental breakfast to caviar and salmon made the experience quite nice.

Went there for a conference. The rooms are spacious and we'll lit. There were no technical problems. Breakfast and refreshments during the day were available right outside the room.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is great, it is rather large and has a couch, lounge chair, and desk. There is a Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, and sink in the room which is nice for making coffee and snacks. The bathroom is huge and has the standard toiletries. There is also a pool and a 24 hour fitness center. The conference center is set up well for conferences. There are different size rooms for different size events. The conference food is good, and there is free wireless provided by AT&T.

Location is good, was in the ball room for a dinner dance event. Buffet was excellent, and wait staff were courteous and efficient.

I visited for a conference and have thoroughly enjoyed the space. Breakfast was provided with healthy and delicious options. Snacks were also available in the afternoon. We were ate at the Gardens for lunch which also provided a variety of healthy options that all tasted great!

Very comfortable hotel. Always have a good stay. Service workers are plenty and are very attentive to the needs of their guests.

While I have only attended events and conferences at the Penn Stater and not as an overnight guest, they have always been the nicest and cleanest place I have seen. The facility is huge and is able to host several large gatherings at a time. The meals and catering are very good, with options for many diets.

Modern and stylish. Friendly staff and nice amenities. Firm, yet comfortable beds.

Favorite place for sunday brunch and all you can eat on Fri/Sat nights

I've been here for buffet lunch countless times and it's always delicious. There is always a meat option or two, usually a pasta, sometimes a fish, and always a salad bar. The desserts and the cheese tray are always great as well. I enjoy eating here

We were here for a formal event. The atmosphere is excellent, and the staff professional in their arrangements and flexibility for our organization. Highly recommend scheduling conferences and other events here!

the beds are small, bathroom has no exhaust fan, the shower head leaks and sprays all over the wall, the blankets have a raised stitched pattern that is very uncomfortable, the restaurant downstairs is ridiculously overpriced, and most importantly, no Wi-Fi. it's 2017...

Nice place to stay. The Legends bar on the ground level is a nice quiet place to relax. Rooms are showing age, especially in the bathtub fixtures. Friendly, helpful staff.

Went to a conference there. Everything was great, just minor details can be improved. Smaller conference rooms were freezing and the word "conference" was incorrectly spelled on that day's signage.

The Sunday brunch has a very nice, relaxing atmosphere and decent quality food for a buffet style meal. My family prefers to go over the summer (when school is not in session) to avoid the crowd.

We stayed at the Penn Stater for an event and planned to use the shuttle service to the University. We made a reservation for a specific time for the shuttle the day prior and we were told to show up in the lobby at 9:00am. We showed up at 9:00am and were then told the shuttle was full and we could not be transported...even though they agreed we had a reservation and should have been on the shuttle.

We were left hanging at the hotel while the event started. We ended up scrambling around, getting a parking pass at the stadium and arriving late to the event. The hotel employees just said nothing and did not try to help us. They thought we should just wait around for an hour and catch the next shuttle, and miss the main part of the event we drove hours to attend. We would have been fine if they had told us the day before the shuttle was full - instead they told us there was plenty of room.

Awful service. Promises they do not deliver on. No attempts to right the situation.

Stayed the night for a family reunion, comfortable bed, plenty of towels, clean living space, coffee in the morning!

The rooms are large and clean with free wifi and USB outlets. It was nice to have a pool and hot tub. The garden restaurant had a great breakfast.

Outstanding Hotel, restaurant and conference center. The BEST! Shuttle service down and back to town for supper was so nice.
Additionally, the late evening maintenance workers, two of them, came to my rescue for spilled nail polish on the carpet and even brought back a fan to make sure I was comfortable and safe after they finished. Kudos to the whole staff!

The conference center is clearly taken care of very well and it has a professional feel to it. The conference room we used for our event was president's hall. The hall is massive and we used it for multiple events throughout the day. For one of our events, we had unforeseen technical needs but the tech team was there for us and responded very quickly regarding the issue we had. The waiters and waitresses were also kind and did a great job clearing tables and picking up people's plates when we finished eating. We also reserved several rooms for committee meetings and each one was very nice. Overall, the Penn Stater served my organization exceptionally well. I would say that we will be back every year - however, the only problem for us is the price tag!

I attended a retirement party. The food and staff service were excellent.

We go there for the weekend buffet, and guys... It's so fancy. And they w will specially prepare food to for any known dietary restriction. My baby sister can't have eggs, soy, dairy, gluten, peanuts, or corn, so when she couldn't find anything to eat for dessert, they brought her out two bowls of raspberry sorbet. Her face Lit. Up. They are so nice.

Not at all a good experience.description of the rooms and amenities is not at all what is available.have traveled and stay in different places and this was one of the worst .can't even justify giving one star

Rooms were comfortable, ran out of hot water for tea, food was just okay, parking easy.

Brunch at The Gardens Restaurant is good but the free glass of Champagne makes it better! I do wish the omlet bar had more meet options and hot peppers like jalapenos. Mini waffles are on point and there is a lot of seefood options. I would recommend.

Was here for a work conference. Rooms are clean, decent sized, well furnished and the bed was comfortable. A clothing iron and hair dryer were in the room. I was pleasantly surprised that the Wi-Fi was complementary. The banquet hall we used was visually appealing, not too cold (seems these places normally want you to freeze to death) and the food was quite good.

Recently came for a conference and I was amazed by the infra structure and the hospitality offered by the staff. The interior design shows that the hotel is well maintained and has plenty of space for any kind of events. Rooms are super clean and have an average price for what s offered.

This is my second year in a row at the Penn Stater and it is an amazing venue. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and our rooms were comfortable...it was a great stay!

Its a typical conference hotel with two "built-in" resturanuts. We always get the Penn Stater burger at Legends when we arrive in the afternoon. The pool is very nice and their gym is one of the better hotel gyms I've been to. They offer free wifi with the rooms but it's typically slow.

So much good food is available for our conference. Also the bathrooms and conference area is clean and modern.

We went to the Penn Stater for the rehearsal dinner for my cousins wedding The food was fantastic and there were plenty of portions. The wait staff was pleasant and professional. Overall a very good experience. 10/10 will recommend
