I've taken my 3 girls here for 7 years. We have mostly been to the North Office at Forest Lakes/Hollymead. I've had very few issues with them or the downtown office. I've ALWAYS gotten a same day appointment when they're sick. The best part is that they are open on all weekends, holidays, and after hours for Urgent Care which means that we have only had to go to the ER 2 times in 7 years. I'm a medical professional as well and I love that the physicians all respect that and address me as such. They have 15 doctors and all of them have been great except for 1. Some are better than others but all (except that one) have been very knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. That's really good for a practice this size. Our primary doctor, Dr. Reynolds, retired (he was the best) but Dr. Gillenwater seems ok so far. I only gave 4 stars because of the 1 doctor that I've had issues with.

Visiting from out of town on sunday night and called when all other urgent care locations were closed. They were kind enough to see us 15 minutes before they closed. Staff was kind and doctor was terrific in quickly diagnosing and solving my son's medical issue

My baby was completely misdiagnosed when brought in for an alarming increase in, what was becoming, frequent projectile vomiting that was leading to severe dehydration. Although I was seen immediately when I called in, he was dismissed as having very bad reflux and told that his situation would likely resolve itself. I called again the next day to say the reflux medicine was not working and that he hadn t drank anything in 24 hrs and that his diapers were dry. The doctor agreed to see him again but at no point told me, nor encouraged me, to take him to the ER (despite how dangerous dehydration in a baby can be). I took the executive decision to take my baby to the UVA ER instead. They ran diagnostics and an ultrasound revealed he had a rare but serious condition known as intussusception, with a one third obstruction of his upper GI. Although I understand that these small clinics cannot run these types of diagnostics, I believe that the doctor should have told me that it was imperative to bring him into the ER to see what was wrong with him, or at the very least, to have an IV put in him to cope with his dehydration. The UVA staff was professional and resolved the matter, and told me that it was critical that I had brought him in when I did.

I had an appointment with doctor Amanda Jones and me and my mom ended up getting stuck in traffic making us 10 minutes late and my mom called letting them know and they said we would still get our appointment and we got there and they had given our appointment away and we had to leave.

We don t do email. Well, huh. Providers are great and location for Hollymead and Forest Lakes can t be beat. Accessibility for military families and anyone living in the 21st century... questionable. When asked why they don t use email, they hung up on me. So there s that, too.

I give the Zion Crossroads Office 0 starts. I had to click one stat or it would not let me post. My son (17 yrs) had an appointment today and during his visit the doctor starting expressing her political views. All becasue of the picture on his phone and the case. Said that he needed to change his phone case and the picture on his phone. Told him that the world is changing an he needed to also. She just kept lecturing him. First and formost this should have never come up during and office visit.

The doctors are great and really care about our daughter. The on-call nurses are very patient and detail-oriented. They are always helpful! Some of the staff are friendly, but others can be curt and cold.

Fantastic practice with excellent "after hours" service. As working parents, we frequently do not see how sick our kids are until we get home. Having the ability to speak with the nurses and doctors in the evenings and on the weekends is a godsend. It's a busy practice so occasionally we're on hold a few minutes, but we have never in our five years with the practice not been able to come in and see someone when our kids were not feeling well. They have also been wonderful about fitting families with the right doctors with zero discomfort or awkwardness. We love the practice and our thankful to have this level of attention and care in our town.

The physicians are good, but a lot of the people in the front staff are exteremely rude. In addition, they make a big fuss about giving appointment to their existing patients, while new patients can get in very easily. I wonder if this has to do with how much money they make per new patient vs. routine checkup of the old ones. So, despite good physicians, I am taking my kids off from here due to poor service from front staff.
