Great experience with this school. The founder, Sheri, is very involved and cares deeply for each person who walks through her doors. The school was great for my husband, and helped him feel accepted and welcomed right away. Very individualized, unlike a lot of bootcamps who are just pushing students through the system. We are still benefiting from the program with attending meet-ups and through networking. Highly recommend.

I took programming 101 & 102 and they both were great. It was very informative and I went form knowing nothing about programming to being fully prepared for the Bootcamp in the span of two weeks. The teacher made sure all questions were answered before moving on and was incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend.

Instructors are extremely knowledgeable and help people at all skill levels. Very happy with the Python 101 course, and learned more that I thought I would. It takes some dedication, but becomes very rewarding. Thank you PDX Code Guild!!

I completed a code Camp here spring of 2015 the experience that I got here. Was what I needed to become a web developer vocationally. I individually interviewed all of the code schools in Portland at the time and they were Head and Shoulders Above the Rest.

Just finished the first week of coding 101, and the quality of teaching is excellent! I have completed other self guided coding courses and while they are good (khan academy), actually attending a well taught course makes the material much easier to digest.

Really enjoyed the programming 101 course. The instructors were knowledgeable and had several useful resources to help make sense of things when I became stuck. I think I had a question each day, and each day, they had the tools to help me and made it look easy. I'm looking forward to taking other courses.

Took an intro to programming class with them and loved it! This was the first time they had a full time intro class (9:30 - 4:30) and hope they continue to provide this option as it gives you a sense of what boot camp will be like. Teachers were very friendly and informative! Highly suggest taking this course to anyone interested in programming and to see if its something they would enjoy.

Just finished up with the Intro to Programming 101 class. To be honest I signed up with no prior experience in coding and was a little worried that I would not do well. I was wrong! The instructor and 2 assistants really had an awesome learning environment for beginners and offered to help in anyway, shape or form throughout the week. I am truly surprised that I passed and look forward to Programming 102 next week! Shout out to Sheri (Fearless Owner) for setting me up for the Intro classes and plan on attending the boot camp in June 2020.

I took the Intro to Python class at PDX Code Guild. In a really short time, I felt very familiarized with this coding language -- of course, you can't learn EVERYTHING in two weeks, but I felt the instructors set a very healthy foundation of how to navigate problem solving and troubleshooting on your own. My favorite part of the course was how supportive it feels right from the start, the instructors are open to questions and confusions at every juncture and are at the ready to offer help whenever you're stuck. The class is structured in such a way that you get a quick lecture to understand the terminology and concepts, and then given exercises to put them into practice. There's a lot of independence you can have with the material, developing your own method to resolve the problem. The instructors help you to solve these problems while still considering your style and approach to it. I loved my experience at the school and highly recommend PDX Code Guild to people looking to learn an approachable coding language in a friendly and supportive environment.

I signed up for their free Intro to Programming (Python) evening class and had a great experience with instructor Al B. & assistant Indu. It was a short Tues-Thurs course for 2 weeks (18 hours total) on the basics of Python and feel more confident about my journey for new career skills. The class style is instructor led on a projector, with group coding practice and 2 individual labs per session which are reviewed by the instructors. Classes are uploaded later to youtube for helpful recall. I had a much better experience here than at a paid Epicodus intro class. They also do another free Intro to Front End (html, css, js, jquery, git) 2 week course which I plan to take.

Took the intro class during this crazy time over Zoom, and it was perfect! A great launching point into coding. Anthony was a great patient teacher, and the content was thorough and not too slow or fast for a wide variety of skill levels. Highly recommend, and I look forward to taking more classes with them.
