*Update these guys had the only job at the time where I needed to work, now I've left, they covered up or buried incidents and health and safety violations done by supervisors , multiple occasions was told by supervison that this is the PCL way and if I didn't like the way they ran and operated their programs I was welcome to go find another job. When questions were brought up there was no follow up back to your questions. There is a bad cover up and punish culture that has grown within this company on multiple sites, there is no growth here* I have worked for PCL a few times for the most part the PCL used to mean Poole Construction Ltd now it is more known as Putting Craft Last, People Come Last, when referring to their employees on job sites. Also it has come to be known as Planning Comes Last. PCL supervision(foreman, general foreman and superintendent) used to have a policy, maybe they still do, of giving two write ups per employee for almost no reason so on the third write up they could just get rid of them. When it comes to listening to other ideas discussion was not an option when working here. There is great improvement needed to come up to 2020 model of leadership for its employees with empathy, compassion leading the charge but eating last as a leader. They have a Jack Welch way to look at their roles to employees. Layoffs are always first to balance the books, investors come first. Site supervision like foreman and lead hands may be the future for these guys but there is no room to grow for the most part. Have been disappointed a couple times. Scabby.
