I engaged P/B to strip down to the studs and totally rebuild a 1750 sq ft condo in the Back Bay. My biggest problem was to complete the entire job in a very short restrictive time frame or pay extraordinary daily penalties.
Not only was it completed w/i the allotted time , but every aspect of the project was done efficiently, expertly and professionally. P/B worked seamlessly with our architect/designer and my wife and I, and built and installed the most beautiful home that has already been featured in the magazine section of the Boston Globe. They custom built all the wooden cabinets and bookcases and they are contemporary and beautiful as are the kitchen, the bedroom/offices and the bathrooms.
We met on a weekly basis every week with one of the principals to monitor the progress and resolve any problems. There were very few and they were resolved immediately.
I have a lot of experience with construction and rehabilitation and know excellence when I see it.
I highly recommend P/B and give them five (the maximum) stars.9

Jarrod at Payne Bouchier is terrific. He and the team have done work for several units in our building, and everyone has been happy with the results. We recently had Jarrod help diagnose a building air flow issue, and he ended up recommending a solution that didn't require his assistance - a sign of real integrity. I was flooded out of my condo 5 years ago and retained PB as the contractor to put it back together again. They took care of everything including dealing with the insurers and subcontractors. They promised to get me back in by a certain date and delivered. Every person who I came into contact with was terrific and a pleasure to work with. Any problem was corrected immediately. They owned the project and did a fabulous job. Recently, I suffered water damage again and while, much smaller, it never occurred to me not to call Payne Bouchier. They came to my rescue immediately. I highly recommend the PB team starting with Steve Payne and Lee Reid - it is all about quality and customer service.
