I have information that needs to be heard by those considering patient stream, Sam Carlson / 25th West prior to singing any contract.
I engaged with 25th W marketing prior to Covid and when the shut downs started I agreed with Sam that I would continue running campaigns (FB/google Adwords) and he would waive my fee for the time being. What actually happened was he gave me a free month and then started charging my account without permission (for months!). When I asked him for an explanation he said his staff was sure they called and got permission to start billing again - very underhanded. At this time I asked Sam IN WRITING (yes Sam you even put it in ink to me you would stop) to acknowledge he would stop all advertising moving forward. Turns out I was unaware he left a google Adwords campaign on and since I engaged another company for Adwords I was unaware I had been charged close to 14K in advertising spend. 14K!!!! When I confronted Sam about this he said "its your fault because you should have turned that off yourself". Of course, had we received a notice, e-mail, postcard, ANYTHING that would have let us know we were to turn the campaign off I could have avoided this situation. This unfortunately goes to show you that their attention to detail is poor at best, but more likely reckless and harmful.
Sam called me his "friend" numerous times and I would have thought we could have settled this without lawyers and negative reviews but if this is how he treats his friends lord have mercy on his enemies.
I would highly reconsider using their services, it appears I was just another number to them rather than a human being trying to help other people and put food on my families table.
After using another vendor who took months to give me a site that was slow and clunky, I contacted Jake. In no time I had a site that was fast, functional, and slick! And this was not just a little fix up, it was a total site redesign. Jake worked closely with me to implement all the design features I needed, and mentored me so I can continue to make updates to my site. His response time to all my requests were very timely which allowed me to get my site published on schedule, despite the delays caused by the previous company.
