Bustling, they're challenged to keep up with lots of tourists plus covid protocols. Can't comment fully on food because it took so long to pickup my takeout.

Moab has definitely boomed as a small town attached to a big attraction, and as small towns with that benefit tend to do, it's more tourist-oriented establishments' prices have gone up to maximize its profit. Pasta Jay's, however, has not followed this trend. It's been here for as long as I've been coming here and their food quality has stayed high while their prices have stayed low. I get the gnocchi every time I come and I'm never disappointed. Just remember that you may need to request meat specifically because they do cater to a wide variety of food preferences (meaning they have some great vegetarian options that are only improved by the addition of perfectly seasoned meatballs IMHO). Don't fall for the hotel recommendations. Come to Jay's for the best Italian in Moab. Also, our waiter this time around, Sebastian, is awesome.
This place was absolutely amazing!! If you are ever in Moab, and you like Italian food, this restaurant is a must! The wait was totally worth it. We ate outside, which is perfect during the summer months. They were very accommodating to our large family party. The staff was super helpful and did a great job getting our orders correct, despite the large crowd. Plenty of free parking is available in nearby shared parking lots, so don't worry about that. The restaurant maintains an authentic feel to it throughout. If we are ever in Moab again, we will definitely return!
Best place in town for Pasta & Pizza. Great service too...
Food poisoning following passage through the establishment. And don't forget your passport to drink a beer, no other documents accepted. I couldn't take it, the couple next to us also had to justify their age. ... sixty ... Law it's the law ....
Delicious! The pesto cream sauce was amazing. The service was wonderful.
Food was great but seating is poorly distanced. Only order take out!!! I was seated only less than 4 feet away from another family.
Always great food, great service, and fun family atmosphere
Delicious food and great service for a party of 16 people.
Food, location an ddc staff all rate all the stars possible!
Oh my what a great meal!!
Awesome service!!
We went to Pasta Jay's to enjoy an anniversary dinner. Jesse was our server, and he was amazing! He was very attentive and friendly, our food came out at a very good rate, not too fast and not too slow, so we could enjoy our appetizers. Jesse was also very familiar with the specials and the menu, I took his suggestion of the Stuffed Chicken Genovese, and it was probably the best meal I've ever had there. Serving sizes are large, so we had plenty to take home. My husband and I very much enjoyed our meal at Pasta Jay's.
We love Pasta Jay's! The service is excellent and the food is second-to-none. Everything we try there is delicious!
Fantastic food and service here. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will definitely go back when back in moab.
If u ever in Moab UTAL u must stop in and eat at PASTA JAY'S. !!! We ordered 3 different order.and all 3 dish was sooo GOOD.
Excellent Italian food. The waitress was great. Awesome meal at the end of a hard day of hiking!
We had the lasagna and the stuff shells. Both were good and the prices were ok. Our server had too many tables so the service wasn't that great. The chocolate cake was amazing. Get that!
Very good I had the chicken and broccoli alfredo pizza and my hubby had chicken sausage provolone with bowtie pasta and garlic bread WoW it was very yummy.
It is a must if you are in Moab.. awesome food awesome place and to top it all awesome service.. DO NOT MISS.. :)
Really good chicken parmesan and love the marinara sauce and the service is really fast
Good food, a little lacking in service staff attentiveness
I loved the chicken parmigiana! Everyone else in our group loved their food, too. Nice atmosphere for family dinners where you can talk and not worry about having to be quiet. The only issue was that our table, a high top near the kitchen, was super small. It could barely hold our plates and glasses. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We will go back...but to a larger table.
Great Italian food, great service with lots of choices.
Ordered pizza and soup. Both were below average, but it was edible
Excellent food at good prices. I had brocolli
stuffed chicken over pasta with alfredo sauce. It was the special and it was awesome.
Ate here because I was looking for some gluten free options. The girl at the front gave me the wrong menu and told me everything on it was gluten free so I ordered the pasta that was listed as $10. My bill comes and it turns out she didn't give me the gluten free menu and the gluten free pasta is 15 bucks. So after tax I ended up paying 16.50 for a bland bowl of pasta & marinara sauce. I wouldn't have eaten there if I knew it was that much. On top of that, the service was slow and not very good. The food itself wasn't bad but all in all it was a bad experience.
Sauce was terrible, and the gluten free noodles aren't all that good either
The food is amazing! Our service on Wednesday 7/8 during dinner was phenomenal. However on Saturday 7/11 we stopped for lunch on our way home and the service was so so. The food was fantastic both times though! Highly recommend the Tortellone Alfredo though you don t get much chicken for the $6 upcharge.
Good food, but food is a little slow in coming. Wait staff was great. Very friendly
Amazing food. Great pasta for those that love pasta.
Some of the best pasta I've ever had! You have to visit this place if you're in Moab, Utah.
The portion of my food was more than enough! Very quick service and overall everything was good! Prices are reasonable and my beer was cold
Service and evening atmosphere is fine, particularly sitting outside after the sun goes down. Tried the stuffed shells but about $5 too high for 3 shells. I can make them just as good so either I'm phenomenal or they're avg.
Salad was so dry and stale. Pasta was so bland with no flavor! It is so sad that they don't care too much about the quality of food.
The food and portion sizes are great! We love coming here for that reason. We've never been dissatisfied with the food. The service however, is slow and they don't really get involved. We saw our waiter 3 times: to get our order, bring our food and collect payment. I would give 5 stars if the service improved.
Cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, OUTSTANDING food. And for the first time ever in my dining experience we actually had more garlic bread than we could eat...I mean, we DID finish it.... Dont miss this place, you won't be sorry.
High priced, no salad with meal, and scrap hoggie buns severed as bread
What better place to visit after hiking all day in Arches National Park. This is a good place to refuel the carbs. Very busy place for dinner. Price is comparable to quantity. We could not finish our plates, luckily we had a microwave at the hotel. Friendly service and clean restaurant. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious.
Great food, service was good, definitely recommend!
This place is a little pricey but the food is amazing!!! Tortellini with pesto was the best I've ever had and I LOVE italian.
Great food! One of my favorites in Moab. The staff was super happy and very responsive
Food was terrible, one of the worst restaurants we had.
My food tastes good but it is actually cold. Considering I am starving from hiking all day I m not sending it back. We won t be back to Moab anytime soon but if we were we wouldn t eat here again.
Absolutely love Pasta Jay's! There isn't a time I will visit Moab without going here. It is sooo good to eat after a day of hard mountain biking.
The food was excellent and our hostess was outstanding. We had a large group, but she handled everything like a real professional. She was really good. I wish I had her name to put in this review. She took care of other tables around us equally well. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Best Pasta around its a favorite of ours when coming to Moab
Service was slow, they gave my order to another table, my party was half way thru their meal before I got mine, then they put way to much garlic in my meal, I only ate about a third of it due to that. We were never asked how was our meal, I wont go back.
Good comfort food. Decent service. Reasonable price for the area. What more is there?
Always a great place to dine the daily special was delicious and the line at the moved quickly when in moab it's the place to go
Great food, great service. Jesse is the best. Best location and atmosphere.
My wife and I ate there. And it wasn't very good. I think it made my wife sick. And it was kind of expensive for pizza.
Food wasn t terrible but not amazing either. It s far too expensive for what it is.
Drove three hours to come to pasta jays based on a friends recommendation of loving it after a day exploring. We were seated right away and then ignored for 20 minutes, (they were not busy at this hour) we contemplated leaving and going somewhere else, after flagging down a waiter, he took our order and helped us out and gave us free garlic bread. the food was good the service was not great. There were three hostess was in a mini skirt with a belly shirt, no bra and her nipple piercings were visible through her shirt( as they were catching the light when in the sun). Another was in leggings with her underwear visible, The third hostess was more professionally dressed but wearing a very low cut shirt. Hoping this was just some fluke day but was disappointed for how awesome we were told it was.
The pasta is amazing. I wouldn't recommend the caesar salad no real flavor, but the ranch dressing was great.
There is a line for a reason. Good food and huge portions. We shared the chicken Alfredo and loved it
Pasta Jays Alfredo tortellone will change your life. It is amazing. I dream about this dish, and look forward to coming to Pasta Jays every time we visit Moab. We usually visit here at LEAST twice each visit cause we love this food every time, and anytime we recommend it, everyone loves it.
Fresh salad, delicious pasta, and friendly service. A taste of Italy amid the canyons and deserts!
Decided to place a take out order here. They were very accommodating to my wife and I and allowed us to sit at the bar and have a glass of wine while we waited. Both of our meals were as good as we remembered the last time we visited Moab. This time we had the chicken parmigiana and the ravioli. Our order also came with a side dish of elbow pasta with sauce and bread. The only issue we had was that we realized our order wasn t complete when we arrived back at our hotel. The salad that we had ordered was not included. I called the restaurant and explained the situation and they took care of the issue promptly and credited my Visa account.
Great food and I do highly recommend!
BEST MAC N CHEESE, I went here 5 years ago and i have had it on my mind ever since. BEST!!!!!!
Solid Food options but they don't have a deep fryer (at least when I was there) so no french fries. Good location with lots of seating
Very busy spot, but for a good reason... Really great food and service. Friendly staff. Solid wine and beer (not huge, but a few local brews) selection as well.
Been here twice and both times the service has been excellent and food is incredible! Will be back again soon.
Zero social distancing measures. Indoor tables all right next to each other with huge parties together. Entire restaurant packed. Come here if mediocre pasta is worth getting COVID
This place used to be awesome. Came back a few years later and was so excited for dinner. Left disappointed
Absolutely delicious, and great service...
We would definitely recommend this is a stop for supper
Service is really good. They have a separate complete vegetarian menu, which is very nice. Great quality and variety of pastas including gluten free options.
My second favorite restaurant in Moab (that's saying alot). Great food and great service. Prices are average for the town.
