El Centro De La raza Review

I got my christmas tree here! Great prices and it helps the center. They sell out of small trees fast, but we found a short big tree. The sale is in the lot on the tiny side road, so just keep circling till you find out. The volunteers there were super helpful. Definitely hope to come back for events here as the center looks amazing.

Went for an event, tough residential parking, new addition to building, great resource community building, great cause, open to visitors, lots of photo ops

The good work el Centro does for the Latin community is awesome...

I wrote an e-mail to president Estela Ortega and resend it again and never got an answer. Not even to say "your e-mail is important to us, we will answer soon." I also sent several e-mails to other departments as grants, events, culture, etc and same result no one answered. So I tried Facebook: Dear El Centro de la Raza...I been sending you e-mails for the last 3 days and I haven't received any answer. Not even an acknowledgement that you received my e-mail. To be a community the first step is to be considerate to others time. Thanks much for looking into this basic courtesy...guess what? No answer. I know this people take generous contributions but what they do for the Latin community? Ignore them for sure. I will call tomorrow.

Historic Place of Social Movements in Seattle WA. A very representative building for the Latino community in the Nort West, which has housed schools as well as areas where there are different activities for the community.

Recently remodeled, more recreational areas have been added, where cultural events are held. A place where we can feel at home, thanks to the vision that beloved and remembered Don ROBERTO MAESTAS had, whom I had the pleasure and honor to meet.

The community room is spacious, clean, and fairly decent acoustics. Seats were comfortable, bathrooms clean, with lots of windows allowing lots of light. Staff provided excellent customer service and showed me where the room was located. Saw a film there and lead a talking circle discussion afterwards.

Roommate wanted a Christmas tree but we didn't want to buy it from the boy scouts. Support El Centro de La Raza and all the rad programs they put on for the community instead

A very good place to get Social service Especially for families to take care of children and keep information help for the community The Center of La Raza has several Services for the Community Visetenlo I recommend it

Of course a place where you find many services to me have helped me a lot especially for the school of my enchanted and recommended son.

Never even heard of this place until a co worker told me about it. I decided to stop by on a day I had off from work to see about a lending circle. The people were friendly, and when I got there the lady who helps with them had just taken someone back tonjer office. I was given info and was told someone would call me. I thought to myself probably not! But at least they gave me info and I couldn't be too upset because I didnt have an appt. Within a couple hours I got a call back and not only was the lady helpful with info she was polite on the phone as well. I was set up with my circle in less than a week and now Im on my way to credit building. This place rocks!!!

Always something going on to help support the underrepresented community.

A very nice place especially with a lot of help in food legal help and very good attention I hope you continue to improve the area of legal aid that is not only once a month but you can find many products for your daily life I recommend you to visit it What you want to take home is unlimited, they have many help options

The intention is good, but lawyers have little knowledge and / or experience

Incredible resource for our community. I work as a volunteer attorney here for the free legal clinics. I am very grateful for el centro de la raza.

I was late so I didn't get an experience worth talking ur reviewing it. However. All the ppl
around that place. Either minded their own business or they were very respectful n helpful. For the ones that I duff m did interact with. I've might've been in a "HOOD" N they was hood as hood could be at a pre-school in the prodjects but they weren't "GHETTO" which made it a delightful experience

They never answer the phone when you call there isn't even a greeting saying this is el Centro de la risa. ..f you are looking for something in particular they always dragging their feet to give you another referral.... it's a joke

I love it as a mother, because it is a very safe place for children and excellent teachers, very professional, with pleasure I recommend it ...

The people I've encountered have been kind and helpful towards me. They also give you a good amount of food.

Great programming and a wonderful Master Gardener Demonstration Garden out front.

They offer time of help for Latinos. They also have a food bank and school for kids. All the works are super nice and are great. It is a place where they offer a lot of help to the Latino community. No matter the problem we arrived they can help you or offer help. They also give free food and it is also a school for children.

They are a Helpful group, they Truly push the envelope to do as Much as Possible.
Though, I'm Not a fan about the way one of the lady's Speaks to me.
Comes across as if she's talking down to me and or believes I'm Lazy n Stupid.

Great Community Resources. Very helpful in so many ways.

Its a decent sized venue. 150 or less. No parking on site, you have to park on neigborhood streets,which are hills. Otherwise nice small venue!

This place is located adjacent to the Red Apple Market and the Beacon Hill light rail station. Has a mixed population that utilizes the services offered here, including but not limited to: a food bank, pre-school/daycare, veterans services, and energy assistance funds for low income residents and other services for seniors. Great place to go and visit, especially for all of cultural differences that you'll experience while there.

I have worked with this organization in the 80's, and they have excellent programs towards minority populations, their leaders and collaborators have a high spirit of help to the needs of those populations.

I love it there! It's amazing to see many children walking around and having fun. Its very welcoming from the plaza and the Jose Marti building. I go there almost every day and everyone's very nice.

This place is a great community resource, and the staff here has always been exceeding kind to me and everyone else I've seen them interact with. Wonderful place, wonderful people, doing wonderful work. I am grateful for their services.

My 1st time that I attended Day of the Dead here. Women In Black displayed almost 1,000 stones with names on them for people we've stood silent vigil for homeless people who have dosed outside or by violence in King County since May of 2,000. Great people work here. Really enjoyed the Celebration.

This place is like a wonderland of help agencies and then some

The new added structures are beautiful: there is art, coffee, history and the light rail is right next door which makes transportation/access easy.

Really nice people working there. Great experience!
