It is a very nice park to contemplate the river and relax, being a tribute to the memory of Argentines it is informative, relaxing because there are no external noises since it does not have games for children, you can have a picnic or read; different from other parks and very representative in all its aspects. There is a sculpture in the water of a man walking, there are docks and toilets (although I don't know if they are in operation) in every corner you find a piece of Argentine history.

It is good to keep the memory of the facts of our history, for generations to come.
I think there should be people not only taking care of the place, but also informing the people who visit them, be they Argentine or foreigners.

Very well diagrammed. Recreation place next to the river. Created in memory of the disappeared in the period of the military dictatorship, a nefarious epoch of our beloved Argentina. To visit this place, is to keep in mind all those people who, by thinking differently, had tragic and absurd endings. It remains forever etched in our minds. Please, do not forget.

Sun doubting it is the best park I went to.
It is quite spacious, lots of cleanliness, lots of peace, few people, an ideal place to visit whether to eat, chat, walk, run, rest, study.
I emphasize how immense it is. To go back

It's a pity that it does not stay ... the property is beautiful! The grass cut clean, with garbage baskets with their respective bags. The sanitaries a disaster, bulls and dirty. It seems that what a government does the following one of different political party does not maintain it.

About Parque de la Memoria

Welcome to the new website of Parque de la Memoria - Monumento a las Víctimas del Terrorismo de Estado. This is a place where you can learn about the history of Argentina and pay tribute to those who lost their lives during the dark period of state terrorism.

Parque de la Memoria is located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was inaugurated in 2007. It covers an area of 14 hectares and overlooks the Rio de la Plata. The park serves as a memorial for the victims of state terrorism that occurred between 1976 and 1983.

The park features several monuments, sculptures, and installations that commemorate those who were killed or disappeared during this period. One such monument is called "El Muro de los Desaparecidos" (The Wall of the Disappeared), which lists over 8,000 names of people who were taken by force by government forces during this time.

Another notable feature is "La Floralis Genérica," a giant metal flower sculpture that opens its petals at dawn and closes them at sunset. This sculpture represents hope for a better future after such tragic events.
