Getting a bit old but still well functional for its purpose. The building is actually hosting the old planetary room, not used any longer for plenary sessions due to its limited capacity and location. The canteen is nothing really special in term of furniture and decoration, food quality is quite basic, not a great meal selection, not recommended actually.

Historical hemicycle of the beginnings of the European construction: well maintained by the European Parliament. The rest of the building is certainly dear to those who work there and full of good memories of youth for the officials who worked there.

FREE ENTRY: The Hemicycle can seat all 751 Members of the European Parliament and during plenary sessions it is used for the largest debates at the European Parliament. Going on a visit of the Hemicycle is a great way to get to grips with the basics of the EP and soak up the parliamentary atmosphere. If you visit during a plenary sitting you may be able to watch one of the major debates or votes. Individual visitors can discover the EP with a multilingual media guide (60min visit, no advance booking). Our Speakers are also available to respond to questions and give a more personalised briefing (Mondays at 11h and 15h, in English or French). In July and August, additional slots are available. Please consult our website. Groups are equally welcome and can find out about the EP with the help of one of our engaging speakers. Visits may even include a discussion with a MEP. Advanced booking is required, please see our website for more info.We visited the European Parliament (EP) complex on a Sunday, and weren't able to visit inside. This modern ediface is composed of 751 members (MEPs), now 705 because of Brexit. The Parliament represents the second-largest democratic electorate in the world (after the Parliament of India) and the largest trans-national democratic electorate in the world (375 million eligible voters in 2009). Allow ~ 15 + min for your visit unless you're able to go inside.

European Parliament Committee of the Regions Enlargement Day: We're in Brussels for the meeting in Turkey ... a lot of different meeting rooms available in the building. Transportation is very easy and there is a metro right next to it. Note that it may be surprising that several buildings of the European Parliament are side by side.
