Waited over 2 hours at A&E for a sprained/fractured ankle for a simple X-Ray, absolutely atrocious service and wait times. Please avoid this place if at all possible and seek aid from a government hospital instead.

Nice, cosy hospital with good services from nurses and doctors. Compared to CGH, the wait is definitely much shorter at the A&E. The meals are also better than public hospitals. With all the specialist clinics located there, you can be sure the doctors attending to you are relatively experienced and definitely not going to be cheap.
Service gap is during their changing of shift. Main admission counter closed 15mins before their knock time and i had to wait for the other counter to open up. They should not have such gap. Plus point is the cashless service where eligible patients are able to admit with no deposit and with no payment required upon discharge. Expect a queue when making payment as they only have 2 cashier counters.
As I was admitted to public hospital less than a month ago, I had to stay in the single bedded room for 3 days for isolation purpose, good procedure (infection control). Free parking or $10 grab coupon, toiletries (like hotel style) and even hair dryer (upon request) when you stay at their single bedded room. Room and toilet are very clean too. Once you are tested virus free, you can be transfer to 2/4 bedded room and charges will be revert.
Worst hospital in Singapore. This is first I had bad experience in Singapore. They have charged me 150 SGD for 2 min. I went for fish bone stuck in my throat instead of looking into throat docter suggesting specialist to me. They charged 150 SGD for no pain relief. Really unprofessional peolle. Please please don't visit this hospital.

Very poor communication towards patient and attendant when we went there in emergency. I went with my husband as he was feeling very uneasy and was unable to sit or walk, I went there at emergency and they made us wait for more than an hour. The doctor then finally saw him and said I can t tell you anything, either get admitted we will do all tests or take medicines and go home. As a patient we asked him what will be better, how serious is it, he said I can t tell you, you have to decide, unless you get admitted I can t say anything. He absolutely told us nothing and in less than 2mins said go wait outside when we said we will take medicines. We again waited for more than an hr just to take those meds, he wrote and do the payment.
However the nurse that communicated what medicines to take was nice but the doctor don t really help us.
The communication, compassion, any advice from doctors side was not that great.
My friend got hospitalized here for an ACL surgery. Immediately after the surgery, a nurse took out her knee brace because "she didn't know it's not supposed to". The doctor came right after and demanded the brace to be put back on immediately. Whose negligence is this? Also, when given crutches to my friend, the nurses didn't teach how to use the crutches. Later I heard, this simple guidance would actually cost some money...Ridiculous.
Worst place to visit if you want a decent service that has some speed. 3 nurses were working , 2 of them were doing paperwork and picking up phone calls, and 1 walk around pretending to be busy , I was there to do a simple blood test and they made me wait an hour, an yet still nothing happens. Worst still there were 7 patients behind me and everyone was waiting like a fool

Waiting time at A&E is far too long - 1 hour! 6 nurses standing around but no doctor...
PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL AND CHECK IF THE DOCTORS ARE COMPETENT AND NOT DOING THEIR JOB BY TRIAL AND ERROR, RECOMMENDING ALL SORTS OF TESTS AND INVESTIGATIONS. PLEASE ALSO CHECK THAT THE HOSPITAL IS NOT TAKING EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO OVER CHARGE PATIENTS OR NEXT OF KINS WHO ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH MEDICAL CARE.

Bunch of cheats. I was told there was a surcharge of 88 bucks for an X-Ray. What I was not told is that the initial consultation fee did not cover the X Ray charges. I paid 167 for X-Rays, and a total of 367 for a visit.
Should've gone to my usual hospital in Alexandra and stayed there for in an A Class ward for that amount!
Slow service, total more than 2 hours. After 1.10 hr see doctor, 10 min get x ray, 15 min more to wait for consultation again. But 40 min wait to get medicine and paying... the same guy supposedly to take care of medicine Is probably helping the other, I can now understand why the previous post saying the hotel is understaffed. hope the hospital can sort this out as this seems to be a common complaint by visiting patients.
East side food n good services nurses. If you need more food just go opposite coffeeshop Indian n Chinese western yummy. The hospital coffee at Muslim corner has best coffee. The basic single bedder is smaller room. Overall nurses are friendly n attentive throughout night. One helped aunty to buy isotonic without charging as her cramps were beyond athletic as she had clinical diarrhoea induced due to huge constipated. So make sure you eat your fruits n vegetables.
This place is rather expensive and waiting time is too long. We came for a dengue test. Took us 2h. Only one doctor for the walk-in clinic seems insufficient. Although the lab is in the same building, the test request from the doctor is printed on paper, which then the lab assistant again enters into another computer. All this takes time. How about paperless work flow?
Patients are being ripped off by excessive charges. We were charged 30.60 dollars for 5 plasters which cost 8 dollars in Guardian shops. This is just plain corporate greed.
Accompanied my sis for an emergency eye infection which she did not know what happened. The doctor on duty gave her an eye drop to reduce the pain while called in eye specialist. We were told half an hr. However, 2 hr had passed, he or she was not seen. If it was an emergency, would it be treated the same way? I wonder.

We stayed in the single room, and the Hospital have a 100% no formula milk procedure, I requested for formula milk m, since there is insufficient breast milk for my baby. The staff claimed the hospital had no milk bottle. Completely Rubbish, every parents know breastfeeding is best but Mother need to be healthy and enough supplies, else may trigger jaundice.
My baby girl 1st day Bilirubin Level was 179, but no phototherapy was implemented. Truly shocking.
Disappointed experiences, my 1 year old girl having high fever came to A&E for treatment but was delay for more than 3 hours. We eventually left the hospital.
Extremely slow service - waited for an hour even to get the medication for common cold and flu. No one around cares on the delays and it s rather expensive. Don t be fooled by the name parkway.
The most inefficient A&E department in Singapore. Apparently in an emergency the average waiting time is 45-90 minutes! The nurses there run around like headless chickens as they don't have clear responsibilities by the look of it. So each patient is assigned one person and they take care of that patient from start to finish- the challenge is when two patients meds are ready at the same time or billing can be done! Two diff ppl have to be at the same station and there is a polite chicken you go first dance!
When u are unwell this is the last place u would like to be!

Sir I have total 10 years experience in the hospitals
It took me 2 visits to realize how bad this hospital was. Nurses were ok but the doctor who diagnosed my condition was useless. I was complaining of stomach and body pains with fever and diarrhea and gave him all the details and he didnt even provide me his diagnosis apart from giving me meds. It's now my 3rd day taking the meds and Im still having diarrhea. Was it food poison? Typical stomach flu? Is this normal and expected to happen few more days? So now im just guessing the way this hospital guessed my condition. And i ended up paying sgd240 for a lame consultation.
Great customer service from reception & nurses. Facility is 5 star. Doctors are okay. However my health didnt get better after 4 visits and 2 courses of antibiotics.
This hospital is good in many ways. If you are hungry there is a wide variety of food. Visiting your relatives in this hospital won't be a problem as there are many spaces to park your car and I am surprised that this place is not very crowded. On top of that the staff are friendly and are the kind that would go the extra mile to help a patient out.
May god make everyone healthy and stay away from hospitals.

We went on a Sunday to show our daughter. There were only 4-5 patients ahead of us when we reached. The doc spent less than 30 secs on her, but waiting time was 1hr. In all it took us more than 3 hours (still counting as I am waiting for meds). My daughter probably got more sick waiting there!
I really dont understand what did the doc do all these 3 hours when in total I only saw some 10-12 patients over 3+ hours. It was the same patients all this while! I don't think he spent more than 5 mins per patient. Will try not to go there again if we have an emergency.
They probably want all the people waiting there to grab some food at the delifrance which is inside the hospital! We did and some others also.

Very good hospital, professional and clean. Overall a visit to this hospital is as pleasant as a visit to a hospital can be. The only complaint would be the disorganisation and time taken when trying to admit yourself, even when it is 6am and very quiet and you have an advanced booking, it still took a solid 45mins. This time feels more like 3hrs when you're suffering and grumpy because you've been fasting in preparation for a planned surgery...
Smallish hospital in Joo Chiat area. Like Thomson Medical Centre, it is also popular for pregnant ladies delivering babies.
Have never been to this hospital until visited hand specialist Dr Andrew Yam at the Hand Surgery clinic during this pandemic (COVID-19).
Although this hospital is not large, it is fully equipped and well-spaced. It has a uniquely homely feel. The clinics, wards and other facilities are all easily accessible and within short walking distance.
The hospital is efficient, staff are amicable and helpful, Dr Yam is proficient and good.

One of the best hospitals in Singapore . You can visit Dr. Heng for gynic related matters . She is quite experienced with 30+ years in the profession . All the staff here are quite friendly and helpful in all matters. It's got almost all the hospital related facilities covers the specialization for various diseaces . Got internal labs and child care sections. All in all , we highly satisfied with the services offer by this hospital. Parkway comes under group of Gleneagle hospitals in Singapore
The main hospital staff are great! The ones from the ward and A&E section. Can't say much about the staff from the orthopedic side. Impatient and dismissive to your concerns.
Great staff but lack of food choices in the hospital
Very nice set up. On the ground floor, there are two counters - Reception and Admission. Service is prompt, staff are helpful. The Specialist Centre is accessible via two elevators on the ground floor (left from entrance, looking in). If need to use the washrooms, at the entrance turn right. The washrooms are just before the cafeteria on the left. I was pleasantly surprised to discover manually operated washlets that are similar to the automated ones in Japan. Nice! The cafetaria on the ground floor offers decent food for those in need of sustenance. The only gripe I have is the limited parking facilities. Eventhough there is a valet service, it can get quite congested and chaotic. Be forewarned.
ENT unit - Doctor is very good - efficient, friendly and provides you with the information you need. Reception staff not so much. Quite rude and unfriendly.

Nothing smell fresh. From the minute you enter, the lift, the walkway and worse, the patient's room.
My nose runs badly. It stopped when I'm in the taxi home.
Totally understaff. Waited for more than 2 hours and spend S$537, yet we don't have any medication or diagnosis. Request for us to come back 2-3 hours later or another day. My son is still coughing badly when we left. Prices are inflated because it is a PH, but service is way too slow. Should have gone to Mt E instead.
Not well organized
Visited a cardiologist specialist clinic here. Waited a long time not for the doctor but because of tests that need to be done. They should have scheduled the appointment earlier to complete the tests first like what other hospitals and clinics do. Instead they only realized that tests need to be done when I told them on arrival.
What was more frustrating was that I actually called 2 days earlier to check on the waiting time and they did not highlight this.
Poor at best. Waiting time is so long partly due to only one doctor in the walk in clinic most of the time and more surprisingly they don t call a patient for a long time and all of a sudden start calling names - is there a doctor even there?
I have visited a number of times with urgent cases and not so urgent and the service is always lacking. Staff move slowly, doctors spend most of the time calling other doctors as they have no idea what to do or give copious quantities of medicine or say come back in a couple of days.
Will not visit again but instead make the effort to go to a further away hospital.
And on today s visit they had most of the staff hanging around the canteen area to celebrate nurses day instead of actually doing some work.
And looking at all the very high end cars in the doctors parking lot the hospital is clearly paying them well and making enough money as a business but can t produce results.

Decent and clean hospital with a good offering of medical suites. Pricing on the higher end though. Particularly like the fact that they have deliverance here and we actually would come here just for that. Parking is tight so be warned!
Worse ever A&E i been to. I dnt think they even have a system. Went there at 8pm register and 1030pm am still waiting. There no q no given dey will just call your name so you dnt know how long you have to wait. Compare to cgh i waited for less den 2 hrs and everyting was done even the blood test result.
Among so many good service and efficient hospitals like Raffles hotel in SG, I don't know how parkway east hospital competes with others. My hand was cut and bleeding when I walked in around 8:15pm 31st Mar 2016, 3-4 nurses at reception asking me to fill a form, nobody offered stop bleeding treatment after I fill the form but asked me to sit and queue, until I asked and one female nurse did it very unprofessionally, as she didn't apply pressure when she put dressing on the wound, I asked to do it again after I found its still bleeding. I waited around 50 mins together with normal flu patients, there is no fast access for A&E patients at all btw. I waited for my turn finally, but then the doctor was looking for nurse everywhere to prepare for operation, there is no process or preparation for an operation at all before patient's turn. After 4 stitches done, the receptionist took more than 5 mins but still didn't know how to operate credit card payment, while I was waiting for payment, another patient kept disturbing me and talking nonsense to me, I asked nurses to stop it but nobody came and stopped it, and I got my bill it's S$777.17, the service standard is obvious not equal to the price. I went back at 9pm on 2nd Apr to change dressing as nurse told me less ppl after 9pm, but when i reached I was told I have to wait an hour, so i went home and changed dressing myself, I don't even want to go back for RTO, and I want to suggest more ppl to avoid parkway hospital as its not a SG standard , the whole experience was so bad, no system, not organized/well trained staff, no efficiency, no caring, no privacy and protection to patient when patient was disturbed by ppl with mental problem... Seriously I don't know what to say besides my disappointments and bad luck of choosing it in the 1st place... don't go there if you are in A&E situation.
