PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport Review

I was there for car rental. This survey didn't interrogate the other option enough.

Expensive for what you get, but fabulous location and the steaks we had were great.

I think the proximity to the airport is a winning feature. I am quite concerned about the amount of drivers there are.

This hotel is currently closed to the public. It is being used as a Quarantine Hotel.

Highly convenient, almost gave it 3 stars. Try booking online for better deals

good venue for meetings where you travel to Melbourne without cost and time to get into town.

ideal after a long flight, just have a drink in the bar, and go to sleep...

While it was lovely and comfortable, they didn't provide the breakfast that I preordered and when I asked about it when I checked out, they told me it was too late to do anything. They never told me what to do during check-in and didn't confirm it even though I had paid for it in full. Very disappointed

The location was ideal located next to the airport anyone waiting for people arriving could go over have lunch or a drink

Enjoyed our 1 night stay. Arrived late evening, from arrival to hotel lobby took less than 20 minutes. Room with tarmac view was great for the kid. Hardly any noise from traffic or planes. Room service food was better than expected - had the club sandwich and items from the children's menu. Room and bed were comfortable. Car rental services are located in the same building, very convenient.

Great hotel to stay at if you have a short layover in Melbourne.

Only a 2 minute walk from the Domestic and International Terminal.

The hotel has alot of facilities to accommodate your needs,
From a large size Gym, sauna, spa, pool, steam room.

Room service is available available 24/7.
Food is good. The breakfast burger was very nice.
Great buffet breakfast selection.

Reception staff can get busy and flustered during their busy check in times, they do give their best.

It is a beautiful hotel. Breakfast is delicious in buffet style. However, it was a pity that the waiter's attitude was not good.

Call to prayers? Really? Well I won't be booking there today then.

Convenient & generally pleasant. Some rooms (all? not sure) have no power points near the bed so you can't charge your phone overnight & have it within reaching distance.

Nice hotel. Very upmarket.
If you are parking in airport parking when staying here remember to validate your ticket.

Friendly and professional staff, clean room and great facilities

Was put up here by QANTAS when I missed a connection from flight delays. Nice hotel for an overnight stay during a trasnfer, directly opposite the airport with good rooms and nice staff. Not really a suitable location if you plan to spend time in the city.

Great place to stay when flying in or out. Highly recommend

Parkroyal is brilliant if you have an early flight out or late arrival and like me have a long drive from or to home. It's comfortable and has everything you need and I love being on the runway side and watching the fine tuned workings of the airport. The down sides are that it can be noisy (grab a room not on the runway side), both from outside and inside. The rooms are looking a bit tired and not as clean as they could be. All that said I keep staying here when needed. The staff are welcoming too. Again though, all that said I'm not sure it's value for money.

This place is one of the best places I've stayed. And I travel a lot internationally. The staff at front desk and restaurant just can not be more helpful.
We had to stay because of Qantas big issue.. That effected my 88 year old mothers trip. And she had over 24 hours NO sleep to get from Melbourne from Perth. Even 8 hours in wheelchair at Perth waiting alone.

Dinner for 11 in the restaurant. Food was a good quality, service quite good although a little on the slow side, but maybe understandable for an a la carte group of 11 on Friday night. Have eaten there before and it is a nice place for a simple meal.

Very convenient and good standard. Only problem is that the restaurant closed early - 10 pm - which is difficult for late arriving flights.

It was awesome from start to finish, from the service to the tap fittings. All top class

My 6th one night stay at Park Royal Hotel, Melbourne Airport, and its the 6th time the simple process of checking in was made unnecessarily complicated. Hotel Reception wanted to charge my Credit Card twice. At the second request I refused to provide my Credit Card, instead showed Reception the Park Royal Hotel debit on my Credit Card via the Bank's mobile application om my Mobile Phone. The impression I gained from this was it was all a bit difficult for Reception to understand. However, some good news, Hotel Reception then located the paid booking. I do not understand how this Hotel functions as unfortunately, as mentioned, its the 6th time that the check in process has not being attended to with ease and with no frustration for the customer, in this case me. Next time I have a need to stay at Melbourne Airport for a night I will be booking elsewhere. A disappointing experience. A least the Hotel room was comfortable.

Super convenient and comfortable. A no -brainer for international business trips. Check in, relax, eat, sleep and stroll over to your flight, anytime of the day or night.

Very convenient for early morning departure in front of the terminal. The rooms are very beautiful with a large bathroom.

Stayed one night. Very comfy. And cosy. Staff were cooperative and very accommodating.

Location is good for a quick stopover straight across from the airport - in at 11pm and out on the 7am flight, but if you have 12+ hours there are better options for less money with complimentary shuttle buses that are a bit more 'fresh'.

Over priced, poor service, you have to beg for an internet access code. Will be going with the Holiday Inn next time. Very unsatisfactory!

Very relaxing between flights. Convenient location.

Reception staff helpful and friendly...rooms comfortable and clean. Bar staff brilliant made a big fuss of my 6 year old daughter. Breakfast spot on.....highly recommended...

Stayed here as hotel quarantine, clean and huge space, good staff support

Great for overnight stay for those early morning flights with family. Stayed in a family room 2 adults and 3 children, heaps of space and good breakfast options.

Just found it.On the not so personal side. Felt like a number not a person. Most staff looked board to me. On a accommodation room first class.

This hotel used to be great. Now the rooms are really tired. Carpet is ripped in the room and one of the legs on our bed kept falling off. Signage to the carpel is not clear. We also had room service delivered. Food was OK but the person that delivered it was sniffling the whole time - she clearly had a cold and shouldn t be handling food.

It could be much better with some more TLC by management

The price is high, but the beauty of the room, the variety and quality of the breakfast and the taste is sasuga.

Park royal had excellent service, with staff there attentive to our need throughout the day. The hotel is situated right across the road from the airport, and checking in was no trouble. Rooms are excellent, with plenty of space and comfortable beds and pillows. Services at the confuwerw up to date using the latest technology, and dinner was delicious

I had a scotch steak with a scotch on the rocks. The mushroom jus was awesome.

Always tidy rooms and I like that it's so close to the terminal.

BEST PLACE FOR OVER NIGHTERS IN MELBOURNE AS IS CONNECTED TO THE AIRPORT TERMINAL...HAS A NICE LITTLE BAR.

So expensive and rooms are old. What's even worse is that it took 30 days to get my deposit back. It's a shame cause it's right at the airport, but there are a couple other options which are far cheaper and new. I stay at Hyatt Essedon Fields. Very nice as it's only 2yrs old.

Great location when flying in in late or leaving early. Highly recommend the conference facilities and service.

Only good thing about this motel was its proximity to the airport. Rooms could do with a revamp and the young girls on reception would benefit from customer service training. $300 odd for the room ans then $50 for parking ( we werent advised that we could get it cheaper through the motel. We stayed in July this year and still waiting for money to be returned. Definately not worth the money.

Conveniently close with terminal screens in the lobby and a good buffet breakfast
