Room was perfect. Expected a lot of noise from aircraft traffic but didn't hear a thing. Very nice restaurant and bar. A bit pricey but that's understandable for the quality.
great location great food breakfast buffet is perfect been here since it was Hilton then Pan Pacific now Park Royal whatever its called service and rooms are bonzer
Great venue and very helpful staff. Only real option when wanting to stay at the Melbourne airport. Comfortable. Airport side rooms can can a bit noisy
When you check-in, you'll be asked for your credit card to hold $100 for snacks and others. I don't really like it since the bank will take about 7-10 days to get it release back to you.
My room was huge for a couple staying together, equipped with a office area beside the TV stand. When you walk in, you'll notice the snacks area with a small note saying there's a sensor and if you take it, it'll registered and you have to pay for it. I asked the reception, it'll take about 10 secs but you should ask them again, just in case.
If you're looking for the Dilmah teas (Sencha green, original, green) and Moccona coffees (decaffeinated and regular), they are placed in the wardrobe, on top of the safe where the bathrobe is located too. A better quality than the average hotel.
The TV has movies to watch for free from relatively new to quite new movies. If you're isolated in the room, it should keep you entertain for a while.
The only thing I was annoyed is at the bed sides, there isn't any additional outlets for charging your phone or laptop or other devices when you're sleeping or using on bed. Be careful when you sitting up while laying back on the bed because the bed was easily moved and I couldn't be bother to check whether the stop was pressed down on the wheels.
The bathroom is quite standard equipped with bathtub, shower room and 2 sinks for couple or family. The complimentary shampoos are better than average hotel. If you're looking for a dryer, is at the wardrobe where the safe is.
The shower room is fine but I notice a few spots where could use a scrubbing or spray the mold removal.
All in all, I had a good stay and recommend anyone who need to stay close to airport.
No expedia welcome ...lift system not direct, slow & waiting time between floors. Hotel should have a separate out door smoking area...Will stay somewhere that does! Not Melbourne airport hotels! GET A LEG UP ON YOUR COMPETITORS! HARRASSMENT BY OTHER PEOPLE (OUTSIDE) THE HOTEL... WHICH IS WHERE YOU ARE FORCED TO GO.....WAS INTENSE... LIKE being in Flinders lane, lol Is Parkroyal St. Kilda the same outside policy? As by law must be away from food. DID NOT smoke last time there...anyway;law was different .
Came here for a corporate meeting that lasted all day. The morning afternoon tea menu does need a bit of change, serving friend prawns with chocolate protein balls don't mix well but the buffet lunch provided was AMAZING.
Convenient hotel that is close to the airport; had to wait for someone to pick me up so i dropped in for a drink or two. Hotel was clean with friendly staff and excellent service.
Restaurant meal fabulous the wait staff terrible.what a shame for the chefs. Time to get people that care and know what they are doing. Disappointed im australian right now service staff really bad..what do overseas people think with this bad service...
Connected to all the terminals, best bed I've ever slept in, rooms all very nice, get a room at the end of the corridor away from the lifts, as it can get very noisy the closer you are to the lifts. Pool, spa, sauna & gym are all good, so be sure to make use of it all, as you've paid for it!
Comfortable and very please place for an overnight stay pre flight the next morning. Restaurant is a bonus with good food, good service and a nice wine list. Altogether not cheap but affordable and relaxing way to start a holiday
Nice staff and well appointed rooms. Had to move rooms due to noisy neighbors but the hotel was happy to ask them to keep it down or move me. Didn't want to wreck someones noght of fun so opted for a move. Happy campers all around
PARKROYAL isn't overly fancy but it's very convenient as it is right at the airport(across the road to be more exact)so it's very ideal for overnight stays so u don't have to wake up too early in the morning to get to the airport.U can enter the hotel via lifts in the airport carpark.Yep,convenience doesn't get much better when it comes to this hotel!Decent room with a very nice view of the airport&its surroundings
Very good general experience. Friendly staff and nice rooms. Very hot in the room and the air con hardly made a dent. Really convenient to the airport though.
Convenient and practical solution Staff are efficient check in is fast Rooms are large and functional Highly recommend for stay between flights Room service excellent.
Fabulous for my accidental stop over and treat. But the fridge wasn't working when I entered so nothing was cold but they quickly fixed it. All the amenities of the old fashioned Motel including breakfast to your room. I loved it & would do it again anytime.
It's ok. Food is extremely average during quarantine, staff is friendly and helpful. Can only suggest to parkroyal to improve the quality of their meals.
Would not honor booking made by me still charged me $320 plus $100for deposit not happy feel like lve been ripped off all that money for couple of hours sleep had no choice because l live 3and half hours from Melbourne diving would have been driving very tired
A good hotel at Melbourne International Airport that has rooms for rent during the day allowing you to shower and change after a drive and before your flight.
This is a great place to recover from a long flight or prepare for one. Comfy beds help immensely. It is relatively quiet and so close to the airport, just a short walk. Have stayed here many times and will continue to do so.
Stayed here due to a missed connecting flight and was very pleasantly surprised! The hotel is easily accessed from the airport via walkways. There's a 24 hour reception and an express checkout option for those that don't want to wait for reception. The room was an excellent size and furnished with quality items. The bathroom again was a very good size with a bath and seperate shower, finished to a high standard. We ordered room service the food was pricey but delicious (although after eating aeroplane food for 20 hours prior I may be biased) and the tray charge for the room service was reasonable at $5. Obviously this hotel is opposite the airport so you can hear planes taking off and landing but the rooms are well sound proofed so the nose isn't too obtrusive. All in all a great place to stay and I can't recommend it highly enough!
My other half and I stayed at the Park Royal on the night of the 3rd April, (day b4 my birthday) Danny has Cerebral Palsy and is in a wheelchair so we booked the room with open shower months before. We arrived and checked in, the room was ideal, had everything we needed, nice view, quite, TV, room service and right next door to the check-in... we did do 3 journeys because of wheelchair, luggage etc but the reception looked after our luggage. Will use again. Thank you Park Royal.
If you are looking for a quick overnight before your early morning flight or if you have a severely delayed flight this hotel is literally almost connected to the airport. It took me two min to walk from airport terminal to hotel.
Breakfast was great, no issues from a business traveler point of view
Good location but very very expensive parking. Even if you paid $50 for valet parking you get no in and out privileges! So safer option is to pay $35 for parking in the short term car park. Modern 4 star business hotel with good views of the airport particularly on the higher floors. Please ensure that your key card works upon check in as mine didn't. I had to go back downstairs to get that sorted. Very pleasant check in experience.
