If there was another facility close to where I work I would be there in a heartbeat. This facility is the most inefficiently run facility I have ever been in. Nearly every time I come, I have a wait of a minimum of half an hour, even first thing in the morning. Tonight I had a five o clock appointment, and I arrived early as requested. One hour and 15 minutes later I was finally called; this time the excuse was that there was only one technician. I m sure the idea of merging with Lenox Hill was to make things more efficient. It is not working.
I feel the care I just got today onmy sonogram from the technition and doctor was over and above amazing and therral .....!i have always used and I lovepark ave radiology
Very nice staff but totally incompetent. Waited an hour , they didn t know how to handle my boot with care and the whole place is under construction which means no wheel chair access. Terrible!
I had a series MRI s at the Park Avenue location today & was thoroughly impressed. The staff was professional, considerate & attentive. The wait time was minimal as I was the only patient scheduled ( it was a Saturday afternoon appointment ). Highly recommend.
I have been going to Park Ave Radiology for years for yearly mammogram. Northwell Lenox Hill has taken over. They are in the midst of renovating so current entrance not on Park Ave. should have been communicated before arriving to learn of the change. A bit disorienting, but smooth process, good radiology technician & 3D machine.
Went in at 5:20 and was told the third party site I made an appt through didn t send it over to them. The receptionist was very nice about it and assured me they d get me in that night as x-rays can be walk ins. I was taken back within 10 min and out in 20 min. Super fast and kind staff!
I am quite disappointed with my experience with Lenox Hill Radiology yesterday. My appointment for ultra sound/x-ray was set at 3:30pm, by their Terry, but was not seen till past 4:30 pm for the ultra. The former Park Avenue Radiology staff did a better job in scheduling appointments. They were sensitive to the patients' time.
Very homey environment in terms of the surrounding area and the actual facility; my MRI only took twenty minutes; I just wish there was music in the headphones
The check in process was fine. The technician was very pleasant. But what happened to the professional performance when the report was marked STAT and it was not sent to my Dr. as it was supposed to be approximately 2 hrs. after the reading was available?? I was not able to get the reports today as was expected and no doubt won't get them until mid to late morning tomorrow. Very disappointed with this facility. Barbara Fromm
I say there for an hour and they basically forgot about me. So when the helpful receptionist inquired, she was told the machine wouldn't be available for another 15 minutes. When i said that wasn't acceptable, she called the manager and they took me downstairs. I was told to change into a robe to prepare for the exam and then sat there for another 45 mins. I had to walk down the hall to find a tech and asked what was going on. they finally took me in for my exam another 15 minutes after that. I spent an entire afternoon there. The tech was good and the receptionist helpful, but there is clearly a communication problem. I would not recommend this place if you can avoid it.
I only had to wait a few minutes and was actually taken a little earlier than my appointment time. Everyone was very nice and cordial, and the exam I was there for was very professional.
I had an awesome experience at the Lenox Hill Radiology on Park Avenue. ALL the ladies (Staff) were professional and pleasant. There was a very little to no waiting period to be seen, at first, by the the "Host" that enthusiastically greeted me upon entering the facility. And, finally, by the Technician, Sophia. Sophia is professional, as well. Also, she is gentle, caring, competent, and thorough. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend this location for any woman that needs her mammogram results.
The person that performed my MRI was so very patient and kind. I was afraid because I have claustrophobia and it was of the brain and I was not able to take any Xanax. His name was Marlon. He instilled confidence and calm.. it was the best MRI experience I ever had AND without drugs!
Everyone there was nice and answered any questions I had, and even when there was a delay in seeing me, the manager helped explain what was happening. Well managed office-even under renovation.
Excellent customer service from start to finish. Called to make an appt and the lady gave me an appt for the following day near my job. When I walked in, the receptionist was very pleasant as well as the technician. I was in and out in about 20 mins. I would recommend to all
I get all my radiology tests done here. Prompt timely service by pleasant smiling professionals . Had MRIs done here and they greatly diminish my anxiety and make it a much easier process. The best in New York City.
During my appointment, the tech was on the phone the entire time yelling that there were no radiologists available and that she had patients whose scans needed to be read. I should have known that my scan would then be read really late. Sure enough, by Tuesday, my dr's office had to call and beg someone to read the scan.NOW, I have to wait another WEEK to be have MORE TESTS because no one BOTHERED TO READ THEM AT THE TIME like a competent radiology clinic. So, now I get to wait ANOTHER WEEK to find out if I have cancer. This place doesn't care one bit about the patient - it's all about the convenience of the doctors. Unbelievable. In the last 40 years of having mammograms, I've NEVER had somewhere make you wait 4 days, and then be told you have to come back because there might be a problem and make you wait ANOTHER WEEK!
This facility does a great job. Everyone is efficient and very nice. And the radiologist is wonderful -- the best mammogram experience I've had in 40 years.
Not my favorite routine exam but coming here is a breath of fresh air. Personable staff and most efficient technician. In and out in 30 minutes - where/when does that happen? Lenox Hill Radiology | Park Avenue that s where!
The front desk person was pleasant and efficient. The technician Marina, was superb...if I were hiring I would offer her a job...she was pleasant, competent, helpful, and had a sense of humor, all of which put me completely at ease.
The staff who did my CT scan was friendly and courteous, however, I waited over 35 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. The front desk was very chaotic, although the person that helped me was competent and friendly. There are definitely some front desk staff at this location I would avoid. I witness some nasty attitude, gossiping about patients, and giving a doctor in the waiting room favorable treatments while ignoring others waiting inline(fitting her in without an appointment, etc). The waiting room was busy and noisy, with everyone kind of doing whatever they wanted (talking on the phone, playing music).
I will also note that you have to make the appointment over the phone, and the staff on the phone are VERY incompetent. She kept asking me questions without acknowledging my answers, therefore keeping me on the phone for a long time. Most importantly, she insisted that, after taking my insurance info down, my insurance required pre-authorization. This was not the case since my Dr's office already contacted my insurance, and I had confirmed with my insurance again before calling. She insisted that I wait and make my appointment "for next week". I said no and told her she was wrong and will pay for the CT out of pocket if I had to. Low and behold, I got my CT scan the next day and my insurance covered 100% of it. Don't let the incompetent staff at the phone centers delay your care!
They were very understanding of my having to catch a train at a certain time and gave me an accurate estimate of when I could be out. Everyone worked as a team to speed up the paperwork process and everyone was very professional
I went for MRI.They made me change and wait in small room for 40 min. Not sure why didnt let me stay at main waiting area. It was like solitary. Then the nurse came to get me and said oh no one put your ivy needle gripper? You asking me? Are you kidding? Also, i am a bit uncomfortable in the tube. So couldn't wait to get out after 40 min. The nurse said on speaker i was done and took long hard 5 min to get me out. Not bug deal but understanding patients psychology is important.
The employees were very professional, friendly and courteous. They made me feel comfortable by explaining the procedure and what to expect during the MRI process. I was checked on while undergoing the procedure to make sure I was ok. Having to undergo such a procedure was not something that I looked forward to, but the staff at Lenox Hill Radiology put me at ease.
The person who booked my reservation over the telephone and LIZETTE who welcomed me to LHR and then guided me through the otherwise tedious paperwork deserve an additional five stars. Special thanks to LIZETTE for calming me before after the procedures. Her caring attitude demonstrated that LHR cares. MRIs and MRAs will never be fun. But LIZETTE and your other good people made the best for the patient of an inherently difficult procedure.
The staff are great! And clearly management gives them the opportunity to be great! My tests were NOT approved twice by my insurance, and they rescheduled me PLEASANTLY each time, then there was a 3rd that I actually missed and they were still pleasant ....and allowed my test to be performed at my convenience on the 4th appointment I believe!
What I like best about this place is that they always charge a reasonable price and the bill is upfront so no surprises. I've been ripped off by other Radiology centers for years. I came to this place once for an MRI referred by my orthopedic and I recalled they charged me 20% less than what Main Street Radiology been charging me. 10 years later, after being ripped off by Main Street and others, I needed imaging done again. I shopped on Castlight to compare prices and Lenox shows a significantly lower price than my regular places. I had all my doctors who order imaging write referrals to Lenox. They usually don't work with Lenox but I don't care about their convenience, I care about the 20% coinsurance that I'm responsible for. So my 3rd imaging visit at Lenox and all 3 times very satisfied of the price and billing system. Lenox will be my regular from now on. Many convenient locations, fast and professional service and they even have an online patient portal for me to access all my imaging history reports. So far, I've not had a bad experience.
The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful both over the phone when scheduling mammogram appointments for my mom and I and when we arrived. The desk receptionist was helpful in explaining what we needed to do to complete the paperwork when we arrived. The woman who did the procedure seemed quite experienced and knowledgeable when assisting us in achieving the best positioning to get the most accurate test results. She also was understanding with my mom who has shoulder issues so was not able to be positioned in the most ideal way.
I arrived 15 minutes early, as requested, and I left the building before my scheduled appointment time. I was in and out. Amazingly fast and efficient. Everyone was kind. Would absolutely go again if I needed another scan.
This was such an excellent experience, I highly recommend this place for an Open MRI. Chuck was the best! He got me thru it with such incredible ease and support. Thank you!
Carlos was super nice and couldn t have been more helpful. Definitely did everything he could and then some to make sure I was comfortable! Quick and easy.
The fastest and most efficient doc appt I ve ever had. The receptionist was very prompt and friendly and walked me through the forms. The technician immediately took me in to get changed and took additional history. 15 min top from the time I walked into the office until when I walked out after my mammogram.
Only leaving out a star because when I initially came in, they tried to say I owed $300 for the day s visit when on the phone previously it was said that I had $0 due. Thankfully I questioned it and after a call with insurance, I was correct and I didn t owe anything after all. Definitely double check.
I went in for my first ever MRI and was very nervous. I have vertigo and am pretty claustrophobic, so I didn t know how it would go. My technician couldn t have been more comforting and kind. He explained what would happen, reassured me that I could get out at any time, offered me a blanket, and even had me put whatever I wanted on YouTube to relax. I was able to wear their headphones while in the machine and it definitely made it much easier than I thought it would be.
Lenox Hill Radiology did an awesome job in providing me with excellent medical care. I had my hip replacement surgery there and today I had my M.R.I there too. Couldn't have a better doctor in Dr. Heppinstall (awesome guy, he's the best) and today they took care of me again. Thank you Lenox Hill Radiology !!! I'm extremely grateful for your support and assistance.
I came running in 15 minutes late for the last appointment of the day and everyone was so accommodating. The two women at the front got my paperwork in quickly and the technician was kind and efficient. I never felt rushed. I would go back in a heart beat.
Professional, courteous, and just plain friendly and NICE. They were also accommodating and squeezed me in after I accidentally botched my procedure orders.
