Its always a great time and somewhere u can take the family for everyone to enjoy
As long as you bring a good amount of money you will have a great time.
I love the variety of amusement park rides, coasters, shows and the water park. There truly is something for people of all ages!! The thing I dislike is the fast pass that is available to purchase to allow others to jump to the front of the line. Keep in mind the money isn't going to park guests, it's going to the park so the owners will look the other way while people butt in line. But if you try to jump in line, that's cause for eviction from the park.
Other than that, it's a great time. The wait in line isn't even bad on most rides and we went on a Saturday July 4th weekend!
Well like Cedar Point very disappointed Iam on the big side about 270 pounds at 6ft tall road two rollar coasters at Cedar Point and was about cut in half they dont make to many rides for larger people larger people enjoy riding on rides such as roller coasters too but can't because who ever designed these rides only had skinny people in mind for the price 4 the price you pay to get into these parks they should think about all sizes of people so my ratings on both parks is very very poor
Great fun, great parks. We started our day at the waterpark and ended with the rides side. We had a great day and everyone was super nice. The park overall was clean especially for an amusement park. We really enjoyed the blue ice cream in the kids land and the mexican restaurant over in the bigger rides. This park is rated one of the best for a reason!
Nice amusement park compared to most I've been to. Typical wait times. Looking forward to next yrs new attractions.
A wonderful amusement park that has a classic Americana feel when you first enter. There are so many ride options and a wonderful water park.
Good times. Needs to be modernized a bit, but everything was clean. Banshee is the best
The haunted houses were so fun, lines not too long and such great Halloween decorations !
Park is awesome. Tons of world class rides. Just get a fast pass cause you'll be standing in long lines during the summer.
Kings island is a fun place to take the kids as a incentive for doing great in school all. Year long and let them blow of steam and have a great time.
Some staff was extremely rude while others were amazing. Most staff seem to be doing great with extra cleaning and maintaining 6 ft. Guidelines. But other staff were super rude about mask falling down, or taking them off long enough to rub your ears, one lady literally nade my 9 year old niece cry.
Love Kings Island, so fun, the kids have a great time every time. The staff is friendly and helpful, the ride operators are funny and do their best to make sure you get to sit where you want. Prices are high but not outrageous, though I wish they would do specials for their cabanas by the pools during summer time. Then it would be perfect!
Love this park its basically in my backyard I am a platinum pass holder definitely would recommend this park.
I've been attending Kings Island since the early 70's as a kid when my mother would drop my brother and myself off at the park and pick us up when the park closed. I've had the pleasure of seeing Kings Island go through many transitions over the years. I've even worked at the park as an employee in the rides department. I've been to other amusement parks in the US and enjoyed them, but there's nothing like our home amusement park. We have one of the best park's in the nation, and Cedar Fairs has done well in my opinion to make sure that Kings Island remains one of the leading amusement parks in the nation. Even though I don't attend as regularly as I did when I was younger, the thrill of going to Kings Island when I do, and walking through that gate onto International Street and seeing that iconic tower makes Kings Island my happiest place on earth.
This is one of the best places you can go in Ohio. The Firehawk, Banshee and Diamondback are great coasters. Ticket prices aren t bad. It is rated three stars because they price gauge you really bad in the park for food, clothing items etc.
I am so spoiled to have grown up with access to these amazing roller coasters! And the blue ice cream!
Not sure what to say. The rides were fantastic and the crowd was manageable. With the Fast Pass we were able to ride our favorite coasters multiple times which made it quite an enjoyable day.
Very good place for the whole family, from 2yrs to 40 yrs old's!
Go every year. Best place to enjoy with family and friends. OMG can't wait to go again next year.
the lines can get long and parking is a nightmare sometimes, but the rides are well worth it. with planet snoopy as the kids' area, it's fun for adults and kids alike! more for adults would be rides like the Diamondback and The Beast. they are both fast paced costers and the Diamondback is a nearly vertical drop at the beginning.
Great kids area. Food prices are high and the quality and variety is lacking
Our family loves to visit Kings Island. We have seasons passes. If you bought the 2020 pass it is good for next year as well. We were hesitant to visit during the COVID-19 era. However, I can say they do an excellent job with wiping things down and socially distancing riders. I feel safe going and I am a cautious person during this time. It is important to note they do require everyone to wear masks that are 2 years old and up. They do enforce it. Also, masks stay on during the rides for those who are wondering...
We had a really great time at Kings Island! We went on a Sunday and overall the wait times were short. Longest wait was for D back at 20 minutes. Food prices extremely high. We got a drink pass so every 15 minutes we could get a Coke product but they also handed out free ice waters. Coasters were amazing except the Beast was pretty rough to ride rougher than when we came last year, but it is a very old ride so I guess it s to be expected. Also stay away from Racer at least the Blue Racer as it beats you up too. D back was my favorite ride with all the g-forces and air time. Definitely will be back next year!
Love watching my kids enjoy everything...brings back memories of when i was a kid
While the rides can be fun, they can get a little painful sometimes. Also the food and drink costs way too much.
Awesome i love it it's so cool i love the roller coaster
I've been going here since I was a kid, I'm 26 now an have my own family could not wait to take them,so we went on Father's Day this year an the experience was terrible I was so disappointed. I bought tickets online an all day eat an drink. We get there the tickets wouldn't work took over an hour to get them right an get us in the park. Then people were cutting lines an I brought it to the ride operators attention an they did nothing just let them cut, then we are waiting for the train to go to the water park my daughter who was so excited to see the train coming went up against the gate an was pointing an smiling then the worker comes up an instead of saying anything just whips the gate open an my daughter almost falls smh. Then we go to water park an didn't get to do anything except go in the pool, do to the lack of life vest. I was just so disappointed that I talked so highly of my teenage years here then get let down an my kids. Then I complain to kings island all they say is thanks for bringing up the lack of life vest next time you visit we will be sure to have that fixed. Are you kidding me!!! I don't think their will be a next time smh
Nice place to go!! Its a recreational water park where families and friends comes to relax and unwind! It has a very large car pack, waterfall experience, play/game areas for children! It is a good place to hang out during the summer and there are a lot of lovely food vendors available that sell a variety of foods, snacks etc!! It is definitely a good place to check out if you are looking for a place to go...as friends, families, even on a date!
Always a lot of fun going to Kings Island! Great place for younger kids with the Snoopy area. Staff is always helpful and professional. Always impressed with how clean they keep the park.
Had an incredible time at hauntfest with the kids and grandkids. Planet Snoopy had all kinds of activities and candy !
Fun fun fun. Wait times are increased due to covid spacing requirements. Fun.
Great place on point during the covid 19 and had a great time
Went for company picnic I'm not a thrill seeker for riding roller coasters. I enjoyed some of the smaller rides was more for my grand kids than me.
Good times, some long waits but with a fast pass that can be more or less negated. Definitely recommend if you live within driving distance.
Kings Island has so many different things for your family to enjoy. I love the roller coasters a lot! But then when you add Halloween into the mix, oh wow!!!
Kings island is a great experience for any family or group.
Great time as a family great rides food and entertainment the only thing I did not enjoy was the amount of money paid to park
Openning day! Had a great time. Looked like rain was coming but the rides were on. Enjoyed a hot meal at Panda Express with live entertainment. Will return soon!
They only had one ride that was a thrill 1 for my little one to ride. Cedar point has way more
The rides are great. Masks and social distancing were enforced. Rides were wiped down at frequent intervals. However, it didn't appear there was enough staff to keep things moving. Opening earlier than 11am would likely help with the large lines. By 1pm, there wasn't a ride that had a line less than 90 minutes.
One of the best and most underrated amusement parks in the world. Finally getting the Giga it deserves!
Weekends are crazy but Halloween time they really make it fun for kids and at night amazing for those up to haunted houses.
So expensive, so busy, long waits, needs updated... rides were fun though... food was ok, outrageously priced. $4 for a slice of cheese pizza?!?!
Been going here since I was 5 years old and it never loses its appeal. Several big coasters for the adrenaline junkies, and a whole park full of more tame rides for children, or for those who enjoy a low speed ride. Can be expensive to eat here, but all the food is good. Get some blue Smurf ice cream while you're here! Lines can be long in the summer months (june july august) but early/late season they are much less. We waited about 30 mins per ride on average in september. Well worth the price of admission.
This is the first year that haunt fest was crazy crowaded. Way to many people this year hours in line, but other than that great as always....cost is kinda high.
I defiantly recommend coming here especially around halloween
Fun place to take the kids. Only down side is waiting line for the rides..
Great Family Fun Spot It's Something For Everybody To Do All Ages
A very good park to have fun & watch a few shows too
First time here. Staff was friendly and food was great! Coming back soon!
Gold passes every year, Soak City alone is worth the price on those super hot days, food and drinks are VERY VERY overpriced.
Rides were fun and operators were pleasant on the park side. The waterpark side was a different story. The lifeguards we're rude and worthless unless someone was actively drowning and then I'm not sure they'd notice. While in the small kids area with my 2 yr old nephew I asked the lifeguard to please say something to the kids that were too big to be on those slides because they were pushing the little ones. The reply I received was, "There's nothing I can do about it I'm just monitoring the area." I said wouldn't that be part of monitoring? I mean as a lifeguard keeping the kids safe and following the rules seems to fit the job to me. She stated, "sorry there's nothing I can do." Then she walked away and went back to walking her path back and forth doing nothing. This made the third time that I have had issues with lifeguards saying they are there to monitor and can't do anything when I go to them with a problem. All they do is walk back and forth in their "designated" space. Very upsetting and dangerous for the little ones.
Had a great time with the family even though covid restrictions made line wait longer than hell. All in all a good family experience
I went here on a mission trip with my youth group and this was were I also went on my first roller coaster, the beast and I loved it
The Graeter's Icecream in Kings Island is pretty bad. Them - including other parts of the park dont have carbonation for their sodas. (Literally spent $5.13 on a non carbonated 20z fanta) that's pretty bad imo.
Otherwise, I love the park and Halloween Haunt. I wish the lines weren't several hours of waiting, but oh well I guess.
I'm not sure why Google Maps says it's permanently closed, it definitely is not. Kings Island is AWESOME! I've tried to go at least once a summer since I was a kid. The rides are great and I love that there is so much variety in what you can do there. Food is expensive, but good which is nice to have. Go to Planet Snoopy and get the blue ice cream with rainbow sprinkles! A must have.
My only complaint is that they don't do cash anymore for games or anything, which I dislike. You have to go to a machine and load money onto a game play card. For someone like me who may only want to play a game or two (if any at all) this is a waste of time and just makes me not play at all.
Go on a weekday when it's overcast/rainy if possible. There are way less people and you will rarely have to wait in a line longer than 15 minutes, if at all.
This is the 3rd time I have waited to eat food THAT I PAID FOR - on 4 passes @ $111.00 each for the food and my $400 in passes and now I'm leaving the park to go pay for food instead of eating dinner at the park !
At this point with the issues we've had and the waste of money of our passes and the rip off of the drinks -
I don't think we will be back next year.
I have spent thousands of dollars each year and been screwed over to many times !
Very fun place, though after going so much, everything kind of gets bland. Food is outrageously expensive but it's an amusement park so that's a given.
I'll start with my review about Orion. The first drop is amazing. After that it is boring. It feels like a Sunday drive. A stroll in the park. Not much more excitement after the first hill. I'm sadly disappointed. I do believe the park is doing a great job with dealing with covid. Could it be better? Sure. I seen other's posts about not allowing to purchase a picture due to not wearing masks properly. I wouldn't be happy with that as well. However, I can tell you from experience that masks do not move when riding a roller coaster. I've tried different ones and they don't even move on Orion when you go down the first hill. Wear your masks properly and follow their guidelines and you won't have any issues. They do have areas where you can remove your masks almost like a smoking area, bit it's a breathing area lol.
My only complaint is the reservation process. They need to find a way to link gold passes that are saved onto the app to the reservation process rather than typing in every card number, every time with the home address just to make a reservation.
The ride lines were not long at all and everything moved very smooth and quickly. Food and drinks are expensive which is a downfall but you can leave the park and re enter so you can go get outside food.
Winterfest was absolutely the best Christmas event we have ever seen in the Cincinnati area in many years. The lights were spectacular and the food and stunning decor wonderfully festive. We can't wait to return with all of our family. The kids are still talking about the train ride in the snow and delicious and toasty cocoa. We are all anxious to return soon. This is absolutely the place to make your holiday memories this year.
If you go definitely ride the banshee, it's a kick ass ride!
One of the best theme parks in the country. The coasters are great and varied. In recent years they have required renting lockers if you have bags and have not started the family swap spots yet either. Only reasons why I wouldn't give it 5/5.
It's an awesome park, and a lot of fun. Most of the negative reviews here you can account for being based mainly on people's own stupidity. Complaints their are no bins for the firehawk to store their items like phones? There are lockers located at that ride, with a huge sign that says, "no storage bins on these rides". Huge lines on the weekends?? You don't say lol... Your friend bought a ticket from a private seller and Kings Island wouldn't honor it when you got their? That's illegal, and it's called scalping. Those tickets are given to employees for their personal use, and are not intended to be sold. The list goes on and on.
The only truly valid and repetitive complaint I've seen in any of these reviews is the cost of food. It is marked up in many cases by 400% of what you'd pay outside of the park, and when you know people will stay all day, that's ludicrous and frankly just rude.
Other than that, it's an amazing park with amazing rides and staff.
Awesome amusement park, one of the best places to go near Cincinnati. You can stay all day and never run out of things to do. Just be prepared to pay.
Soak city was not open ordered sodas they had know straws or lids the food was to pricey
I can't wait to adventure in this place. This is more prettier compared to Cedar Point. This place for my kids was a BLAST!!!! Especially Planet snoopy for my kids is so cool!
