The kids loved it. It's very similar to Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. We went during the kid's summer break and the park was not crowded at all. There were even a few rides we got to ride all by ourselves. The staff said the park can get busy on weekends. The parking is not that far of a walk, but you do need to walk around the side to get to the front. Like most theme parks once you enter the park all the rides are free and unlimited..but I found it a bit odd that there is one ride that you have to pay to get on. There is also a water park section which is included. We will definitely be coming back one day.

This is a ridiculous place. They hold a Halloween theme day in the park, but they prevent us from simple Halloween makeup, and force us to remove the markup which hurts. We really just have simple stickers on face.

You can spend all day here and never be bored! Even when there's a ride or five down for maintenance there are still so many coasters and rides to go on that you don't feel the loss. It's a fantastic park with something for everyone. There's also a great selection of food and lots of friendly park staff everywhere you look. Don't second guess it, just go and you'll have a super lovely time!

This is a great place for escaping the heat! We have littles and there are plenty of rides as well as the water section that includes a infinity pool and wave pool. They're are also special hours for season pass holders so check the web as their hours change with the seasons and holidays.

A good amusement park in the Bay Area. My initial impression was that this was more for kids 10+ but on my recent visit discovered that there was plenty to do for 5 year old as well. We went there during one of the crowded times, where the lines we long - during the end of the year Winterfest. Given that the gold pass gives you admission to Gilroy Gardens as well, I would suggest that it is a good deal.

Great America was awesome for a one day visit! Great rides, the Goldstriker was perhaps the best wooden roller coaster I've ever been on! great atmosphere... Has a lot of fun... souvenirs we fairly cheap but good was way overpriced, $12.99 for a hot dog and chips- drink extra, drinks you could get away with the souvenir cup at $14.99 and free refills all day...had a water park that was included in admission but lockers were very expensive, $16 and up.... Bring your own towel... Overall a really great value... If you got the time to go, you should go!

wow this place rocks. its kinda pricey compared to six flags or another theme park but holloween night was an experience, my favorite part. there was a BMX/roller skate dance/trick/light/singing show performed by really neat looking punk dressed performers that knew their choreography very well.

Lots of fun rides for adults. Also has a snoopy themed kids area.

Lockers in the Boomerang Bay part are $16-$24 a day depending on size. Little steep but what you can expect for a place that charges $15 for a soda and slice of pizza.

Poorly run park. Either operate or don't. Many, many rides down. Those that were running took forever to load. The mass effect ride was running with the theater 1/4 full and yet there was a very long line. Get it together. Workers seemed miserable.

We bought Gold Passes last year, added the all season dining plan, and really got our money's worth with regular visits! My young children love Planet Snoopy and Boomerang Bay/the splash pad area and there are plenty of faster rides for older kids, teens, and adults. I like the holiday offerings (Halloween & Christmas) and their events are underrated fun (we saw the Harlem Globetrotters there last month and they had lawn games the month before). The characters have been excellent with my children, too!

The lines do get long, but not if you get there early in the day. The park isn't as clean and well-maintained as it could be either, but it's been overall good enough. And yes, the food is definitely overpriced.

My tips for a better visit:
-Buy a gold pass if you live nearby. You get discounts, free parking, and you can go to Gilroy Gardens with it. Plus, having a pass removes the pressure to do everything in one day to get your money's worth.
-Get a dining plan (for one day or for the year) and/or refillable souvenir cup. You'll save a ton of money on food and drinks.
-Arrive early, as close to opening as possible. The park fills up as the day progresses, so if you get there early, the lines are much shorter and you can do more.
-Bring a towel & change of clothes for your young kids, even if you're sure they won't want to get wet. We own a set of Great America towels from the times we were sure the kids wouldn't get wet.
-Get rider switch passes if you have young kids and still want to go on faster rides they can't ride yet. Just let the ride attendant know when the first adult is in line that you'll need to switch with the second adult after the ride.

Great night out with the family. Fun performances all over park, characters singing & dancing or photo ops with nutcrackers & elves. Not all but most rides were open lines didn't seem to bad but with a fast pass we never had to find out.

Awful service we went to so many help services to get help but they just sent us to to a place just to tell us no and go to another place that was outside of Great America. Funny how it s outside so you are forced to go out side then you need to pay again just to get in just because you wanted to fix the problem. Hot dogs over priced totally for 13.00 dollars with out pass on Halloween. Fantastic rides tho the Gold digger, Demon, drop zone was totally worth waiting for.
