For the entrance price it was great and we had a lot of fun. Meal/ food prices were really high and not everything was open for variety, but we were on vacation and somewhat expected the high prices considering it's an amusement park.

This theme park is great for the family. Parking costs extra money so budget that into your overall cost. Food is expensive as to be expected from a theme park. There are chain food joints in the park such as Panda Express, Auntie Anne s Pretzels, etc. Fast passes are also available. If you are going during the week it s not needed. Just remember that you cannot avoid having to wait, it s apart of the theme park experience.

The kids area is incredible. There is even a playground where they can get extra energy out if needed. If you were to choose between this and Disneyland then the answer is definitely Disneyland. However if you re in the area this is a great one to visit. If you have younger kids then I also recommend checking out Gilroy Gardens.

Best rides in the bay area. My favorites are the Goldstriker and the Grizzly both are longer rides than the more modern rollercoasters. I also love the bumper cars and the sky lift the takes you from one side of the park to the other. Best place to smoke is on the sky lift as you are elevated above the park and the ride takes 4 or 5 minutes. Just enough time to indulge in your favorite vape or flower or date.

When I was in my teens to early 20s this was the place to be during the summer and Halloween time. Now..... smh I have no clue what happened. They changed everything for the WORST!! Did more harm rather than good with all the change. Don t take my word for it though. Have a visit and you ll see. Now.. the thing that really irritates us was the new food Kiosks that you have to use to order. Smh that s just horrible. the one good thing I can say about it now that not many ppl visit there anymore is that the wait time for even the most popular rides go very fast. You ll be able to ride every ride in the park that you want with out any major wait. Lol. So I guess it s not all bad depending on how you look at it.

Fun rides that aren't too scary for the youngins'. They still have some classics like The Grizzly and Demon that I have fond memories of. It's closer and more affordable than Disney! Bring swim suits and towels because they have water rides and a fantastic water "park" included in your admission. If you forget your swim stuff they sell suits. Went on a Monday and pretty much walked right on to all the rides!

As a child & teen, I loved this place. Now, as an adult returning to GA for the first time since my early teen years (with my own children this time!) I'm happy to see many of the same rides I enjoyed back in the day, just as I remembered them!! The Demon?!? Yesss! Wish I had the stamina I had back then tho bcuz this theme park has MANY more rides & attractions than it did 30 years ago (my GAWD, has it really been THAT long?? lol)!!

Now, the negative side: THE FOOD COURT. I don't even know where to begin. The routine they have set up is just plain stupid. It could not be more inconvenient!! First, u pick which restaurant u want to order from, then when u order, u have to go up to these machines that look kinda like big, techni-color ATM's. Gawd forbid u have a question on the item u are ordering or require a substitution bcuz u CANNOT. The unfeeling inhuman machine does not care. lol it takes your input AND your cash. U can use cash or credit/debit. When your order is ready, the appropriate restaurant worker will shout out your name or assigned number. You present your ticket (or receipt, as it were) and u get your food & empty cup so u can ONCE AGAIN head to yet ANOTHER kiosk located in the center of the food court to get your drink filled. There is a bunch of fountain drink stations and out of like 8-10, there was only ONE that had Sprite that wasn't BROWN in color. Euw. But we managed. As usual, the food & drink prices are freaking ridiculously overpriced with no entree costing less than $15.00!! Yes, a burger? $15. Pizza slice? $15. Insanity.
The pizza tasted really good tho & the portions were decent sized. We left food court in a food COMA lol

All in all, we had a great time. Not too many rides were closed down. I will def go again!!

Oh one more thing-- DO NOT buy a game credit card-- it's absolutely pointless.

Fun summer afternoon spent @ GA with my nephew. He's a bit short to attempt the kiddo rides alone. We were able to go on about 6 different rides. Took pics w/Charlie Brown & Lucy. It was a good day!

Winterfest was really pretty. We went on new years eve and the firework show was spectacular. The only downfall I would say was the parking situation. Trying to get out of the park took really long.

* lack of food variety

* lack of food variety
* long wait times
* very dirty in some parts
* no fast lane season option
* some rough roller coasters

Only positives...free entry, free parking and discount on merchandise with Gold Pass.

It was fun coming here as part of my Go City Card experience (recommend purchasing through Costco)!! If I had kids, I would take them here for the Snoopy park + water park, all included!! I went on a Sun evening and there were no lines for roller coasters = bonus!!!

They have a few really good rides. Especially liked the flight deck and the rail blazer. Rest of the rides are pretty average but the relatively short wait time is the only good thing about most of them.

Amazing fun place right around the corner.

Amazing fun place right around the corner.
I had super fun and the only reason i took away 1 star is that they dont put up wait time by the rides (atleast not when i went) although their app had it but that app had so many issues that needs tweaking around.
Another reason was that the crew weren't efficient is loading the cars/coasters. There were plenty empty seats that they could've offered to someone in the line which'd make the line move faster. Im not telling how to do their jobs but i want to know they're atleast considering that option when it comes to loading.

Great fun (especially the thrill rides), clean facilities (decent, but slightly pricey food), beautiful decor (even the restaurant signage was changed for WinterFest!), quality entertainment (almost comparable to Disney, but levels above Six Flags!). Great fun for the whole family without having to travel to SoCal or dealing with crowds often found at Disney. We bought the Platinum passes because it said we could use them at Gilroy Gardens and Knott's Berry Farm. When we went to L.A. to use the passes at Knott's Berry Farm, we had to complain just to get into the park because they said our passes were not good for the 2018 season but it clearly said on the Great America website that Platinum Passes were good for the rest of 2018. In short, don't buy the Platinum passes, just get the regular day pass or the season pass. Not worth the hassle if you go to the other parks.

We payed $15 for parking when we went to leave, we had a flat tire. We looked for someone/security, but there was nobody around to ask for help.
Not crowded at all apparently people knew what we didn't.
Pretty disappointed.... For all 10 of us, we were surprised about the time of "close at 6" (which I thought was ridiculous) during SPRING BREAK on GOOD FRIDAY, with NO fireworks and such a short day. Well, it just seemed like a rip-off. The food vendors were understaffed which took up so much time. Over $13 for an Icee is crazy, but it was the shortest line. Also... As hot as it was, after we waited in line for DIP-N-DOTS, the guy couldn't sell or give us any because he didn't have a key for the register after waiting 15 min.we left.
I've been going to this park since it opened (Marriott's) and never experienced such understaffed or poorly managed "grab and dash" opportunities for a bite to eat or drink.
Bathrooms were clean... Gotta give you that.

Ridiculously slow staff. Ticket sales staff are not aware of their promotions. Didn't even open till 10.00am. Line for parking, line to go through ticket lines even if you have tickets. Then line to get into the park. Could be done a lot more efficiently.

Great rollercoasters, and a fun waterpark. The Snoopy area for little kids was a big hit too -- lots of rides that are good practice for riding on the bigger versions later.

The staff was nice and helpful, and the rides were well run. My kids had a lot of fun.

Part of our group had a tough time staying warm at the water park though -- the water isn't very warm on many of the attractions there. I didn't mind, but I have a bit more insulation than some...
