Last movie studio in Hollywood combined RKO and Desi Lu into Paramount Studios. Tour was taken in golf carts . Interesting how many movies have been done there or produced by them. Also how many TV shows are made there or were filmed there.

The $48 tour is an excellent value and well worth the visit. The tour groups are small - six or less people and the guides are very knowledgble and interesting. The grounds are presented up close and personal as opposed to a large tram ride at Universal and a bus ride at Warner Brothers. Our tour guide, Jason, was great!

If you're not a movie buff, I don't recommend taking a tour of Paramount Studios. It is definitely interesting to see, but doesn't come close in comparison to the tour available at Universal Studios (especially considering the prices of both). I found myself wishing the tour would end, so we could go see something more interesting. The sad part is I feel like we only saw a quarter of the property. Also be aware of the $10 parking that must be paid with cash.

The studio itself is interesting, but the Paramount tour leaves something to be desired and that is the problem.

We did the night tour, which, should be the best and longest and even then we saw many doors closed and little of what really matters. If you can not visit Warner, Paramount is a good plan B.

No accessibility and the walk is long. Out of shape people should avoid.

I went here to be a background extra in a TV show. Although I was there and available, I was never used. We, myself and the other BG actors, were given two very good meals, got to walk from one area of the grounds where we ate to another where they were filming. On the way back we saw the bench used in the movie Forrest Gump. I would like to go back to take a tour of the place someday.

Great studio tour. We had 2.5 hours only for us (4 people). Lot of information, nice guide and many cool locations. We did also other studio tours over the last years however this tour is definitely worth it.

Went here for the Halloween after dark tour. While it wasn't necessarily spooky, the guide shared lot of interesting stories about vintage Hollywood scandals and controversy. Even at night it's still fun to walk through the sets and check out the props.

Superb experience

Superb experience
Small group and sensation of discovery more personal than at Universal for example.

I almost never review restaurants, tours or hotels...

I almost never review restaurants, tours or hotels I go to but I wish someone had written a real review about this tour before I booked it

I did the VIP tour, 6 ppl total. They get you coffee bean coffee/tea/water what ever you prefer. Then the tour starts on the gulf cart. It was 4 hrs of driving around the lot knowing useless information about film making like the type of lights used, how long the light cables are and how many do you need for a single scene. They just keep repeating that everything is made out of plastic and its not real. Then they talk about their parking lots and how they can be used.

Their props were nothing more impressive than what you d see on the wall in Planet Hollywood restaurants. Their archives section was basically us walking around in long hallways full of tapes, not allowed to touch (why would you even its just tape).

P.s. you will notice that paramount tours revolves around them making the Godfather. They will repeat it 100 times to try and remind you in case you forgot since the last minute they did mention it.

Then we had their lunch which was decent, grilled chicken breast and steak. Following that we just wasted more time driving around.

I had booked Warner Bros with my friend afterwards on the same day. It was much more fun, cheaper, better props section, better shops.

Some of you will think hmmm im in LA anyways might as well do it, it could be fun. I would have said the same till I did this tour.

Love the studio Tour which I made 3 times (1999, 2013 and 2015). There are several tour possible. A short cheaper one and a more expensive (but longer) VIP tour incl. lunch. One time the lunch is in the cantine where you can spot any actors and also I had once lunch in the park which was awsome.

The VIP Studio Tour group are between 3 and 10 people. The Studio Tour Guides are very well informed about the history who telling about current productions and even past/classic like those Jerry Lewis movies, To Catch A Thief, The Ten Commandments, Star Trek Series/Movies, partially "Castle" was filmed here (located opposite of the Paramount in the Raleigh Studios).

When you book the VIP tour you see much more like the archives.
Also possible that you see some celebs who walking to the Set (but filming Sets are closed for tour!)

At the End of the tour (5 - 6 hours) you get chance to buy some Paramount-Souvenirs (T-Shirts, Sweater, Jackets, Cup, etc.).

Fazit: my mind - together with the WB one - the best studio tour and when you can afford it: VIP which starts with a Coffee.

After the studio Tour possible things to do:
- visiting the Hollywood Forever Cementary. But beware: its big and a lot to walk
- or walk up to the Santa Monica Blvd and visiting the "Hollywood Center Studios" where a lot Western in 1940/50 and other movies have been filmed (contact/request for tour via e-mail).

This tour was so well done. Everyone who works here is so friendly, well trained on everything going on here. From the waiting room filled with memorabilia to the name badge with your name on it, it was all so professional and made it more of a memorable experience. Our tour guide, Molly, was funny, sweet and so nice. They make you so comfortable and even tailor your experience based on shows/movies you like. Molly throughout had remembered my favorite show and would point things out about it. I also loved that they were smaller groups, only about 6. The coolest part was also actually going on to the set of Grace & Frankie and seeing how everything is done! We recently went on a Sony tour, and it had nothing on this one. If you can only choose one, choose Paramount! Thanks for a great time!

I think overall I got my money's worth for 2h of entertainment. A lot of the studios here are not used anymore, or if they are, it's by crappy shows however they have a lot of history (Godfather, Forest Gump, Interstellar, etc).

I think it's a nice tour; however it can be done in less time. Tour took two hours and big part of it was the tour guide having a conversation with some of the people on the tour...he was a nice guy, but I would have preferred if it was done in less time (without the extra conversations)...

Inescapable place for lovers of cinema and the curious. On the other hand it is imperative to book and it is very easy on the internet. Tour is small car by small group, so there is no need to walk very much. We did not even meet actors during a shoot. I recommend this visit
