Great Realtors, almost have a lock on the local market.

Sue Hanes is the most underhanded person I've ever met. This office has some very good realtors and I would have given them 4 or 5 stars, but if Sibcy employs someone like Sue they deserve only 1 star.

Recently my husband and I purchased a home through Irongate. Joanne Chew, from Sibcy Cline was the realtor selling the house that we were purchasing. When we originally saw the house it was because my husband and I were driving around and there happened to be an open house so we went in. Well, we ended up really liking the home but unfortunately, the lady who was running the open house wasn't the realtor and couldn't answer any of our questions, so we requested a private showing from our realtor so he could answer our questions. So we went through the home at 3 different open houses (always a different person, never Joanne, the 'realtor' of the home).

So we decide to place an offer a few months later. Offer excepted. We try to moving closing up because everything was done as far as financing goes, inspections, ect. But sellers said no (or at least we were told).

Day of Closing: We get to the Irongate office and meet Joanne for the first time! During closing she finds out she filed a home warranty wrong on her end and she gets mad at our realtor (in front of her sellers & us, very very unprofessionally handled) so Joanne leaves the room to talk with one of Irongates assistants (during Joanne being gone we tell the sellers that we were disappointed we couldn't close sooner because we wanted to have our daughters first birthday party in our new house. To our surprise they say 'oh we would have liked to close sooner too! We wish we would have known!) and comes back in, slams her stuff down and says 'we're done, we're leaving'. She doesn't shake our hand, she doesn't say thank you, she doesn't say congratulations. Just walks out. WE ARE SHOCKED!

This is the first house we've ever purchased. A $435,000 house at that. Which means Joanne made a very very hefty commission check on us. She didn't deserve it and she wasn't professional enough to receive that check. My husband and I would like to say both realtors were easy to work with and made this an enjoyable experience (our realtor was so fabulous!). But unfortunately, we will always remember our first closing as being a complete nightmare since Joanne had her tantrum.
