Nice zoo for going there with family or friends)))
But lions cage too small. It should be bigger.
Love this place especially the tigers.could sit in tiger cafe all day.great visit with the kids and grandchildren.plenty to do
A good day out new dinasours section hadn't opened but I will go back later to see it
Wonderful day out with toddlers. Plenty to see and do especially in good weather.
Brilliant place i got a lot. Only thing is they need to upgrade the toilets
Its ok. The dinosaur part is a bit of fun and the proximity to the lions with windows in their sleeping areas was awesome to be so close. It is a a bit expensive for what is there.
Good day out for the little ones. Got everything you could want in a manageable size. Under 2s go free is not a theme park so teenagers may be best off not going but perfect for primary school ages. Zoo plus dino park soft play area and outside play areas seem well maintained. 59 pounds for 2 adults and 4 year old and under 2 free. The little train thro the dino park is 2 pounds each and takes you past a spraying dino so sit at the back if you do not like getting wet.
A great day out for all ages with a wide range of activities. Young children will love the play areas and the new life sized animatronic dinosaurs. There is an unusual crazy golf course for older children. But the real stars are the animals especially the big cats including snow leopards. Not cheap but plan to spend a whole day there and you will get good value for money. Lots to see and do. There is also a speedway museum on site. In hot weather the splash pool is great.
Really disappointed with our family visit. Lots of areas closed, and many animals inaccessible. Of those that we could see many seemed despondent and unhappy. Spent less than an hour walking around, with an additional 30 minutes having lunch. Colchester zoo, Woburn safari and Port Lymph are all reasonably close and offer much better experiences, so if you are deciding between Paradise Wildlife park and one of the others, chose the other one.
Great day out, especially stimulating for family groups and I loved watching the wildlife show which was both humorous and informative. The animal enclosures looked well kept and the animals well looked after. My grandson (age 6) was interested when I read out the information on the different animal species, and asked pertinent questions throughout.
My daughter did comment that she thought she could recall seeing more animals the last time she visited, but can't verify this. Recommend taking at least some of your own food, as costs can add up particularly if you are taking children/grandchildren. Nice play areas, I enjoyed watching my grandchildren have fun on slides/climbing structures etc., and they are thoughtfully laid out. Overall good value, but be prepared to pay a bit more for adults than you want to (seniors a bit cheaper). However, parking is included, and the price does include a number of different activities so a very pleasant day out with the children.
Some amazing animals that are hard to see anywhere else locally. Constantly investing and upgrading enclosures and facilities
Lots of fascinating animals to see. The "Tickle a Tapir" experience was great.
It's ok I got in on a free bee but I would say it's quite costly
Amazing place to visit. Brilliant staff and lots to do.
Very good place good prices and a second to none day out for the little ones and adults.
Amazing place for everyone especially toddlers....! Friendly and caring staff. Defo will recommend it to friends and family!
Felt a bit too crowded for Covid times but apart from that we loved it!
Good day out but not a lot open Definately not worth the money at the moment . June 2020
It's okay but struggles to satisfy the entry prices charged, with some empty pens and closed off areas, but can't be easy with Covid restrictions.
Our Grandchildren enjoyed their day though, so probably deserves 3.5 stars
Absolutely ridiculous. A complete waste of time and money. All you get to see is approx 2 lions, 4 tigers a few birds and 3 reptiles + a few goats. And for this privilege you pay a fortune. Playgrounds are very poor (the ones that are in working order). Shows has nothing to do with animals, but rather some stupid contest between a few youngsters from the public. Feeding demonstration is a complete failure, as there's nobody to show you where the actual show will take place, resulting in crowds running from one spot to the other, just to find out they have missed it.
In short, I left that place with such a foolish feeling.
Fantastic place with great variety of animals in excellent settings. Staff are very enthusiastic when teaching people about the animals and show great passion in caring for them. Dinosaur trail is also very well done and great for children.
Great fun experience with animals that I've not even seen in a bigger zoo. Highly recommended
I had an awesome time, the staff were friendly, helpful and informative. They do amazing experiences where you can go in with the animals and feed them, aswell as raise money to help endangered spieces
Even in lockdown I loved it. Great views of the lions. Shame some of the cats were missing. Good day out for all ages.
The dinosaur park was great my children loved it. There is also kids play area that was good. The zoo itself is not very special, small and not many animals.
Great place that is not huge but has a bit of everything to keep the kids happy. Dinosaur world, little splash area, animals to see, playground and soft play. We are very lucky it wasn't busy today, kids get to do everything without stress. One thing I really like is they have little cafe everywhere. Lots of benches that for you to relax. Kids had an amazing time and us parent were able to spend the day without stress. Can't ask for more!
I've been going there most years since about 1994 and it never disappoints. Amazing animals, playground, eateries and much more. If you like your exotic wildlife this is the place to go. We're now hoping to get married there after visiting yesterday to view the venue so that tells you how good it is.
A brilliant day out with fantastic talks and presentations throughout. The birds of paradise display was phenomenal, the Red Panda talk was superb and Glen and Miles looked after us brilliantly in the Conservation talk (even though it was quiet and we were the only three in there!). Another highlight of the day was Nick and his big cat talks; an amazing man with some amazing stories. Every member of staff we encountered were brilliant and the animals even more so. Best day out I've had in years!
Animals were in small cages and look like they were drugged as they were all sleeping plus the staff was very rude will never go there again poor animals
Zoo not very crowded, the animals are very close, clean and well cared for. Highly recommended to go with family.
Amazing for all ages.. you can get up close to most of the big cats. Especially at feeding times. Really good day out for the kids....
Make sure to buy a program for the kids as you get a free entry ticket on the back for them if you go back. We will definitely be going back
Nice day out but we did not enjoy the food place and choice.
We go to the Speedway show every February. Bikes and memorabilia ex riders and Speedway people to chat to. Heaven!
Great day out friendly staff and a wonderful experience where you can go right up close to the animals not like a normal zoo where the animals hardly move and are at a distance would definitely go again and recommend this park to anyone who would like to have a good day out up close to animals.
Lovely day out for the kids
Soft play is brilliant and so is the big park
Great value day out, lots of animals and various other activities.
Lovely zoo with a great range of animals especially the white tigers, snow leopards and white lions. Loved the dinosaur park and good attractions for children.
The place was amazing but the food and staff serving the food did not seem with it.
Lovely for a family day out, wheelchair accessible, kids loved it, adults had a great time too. Wildlife very visible and seemed happy. Bird show was very interesting. Dinosaur section was entertaining, movements were very realistic. Also included a nice place to eat, and the toilets were clean. This place has a car park and is accessible, although sometimes the paths are a little bumpy.
Love this zoo it s one of the best.. the animals are easy to see they are well looked after.. the staff are friendly .. great for kids as they have indoor and outdoor play and a fantastic Dino park too.. absolutely fabulous .. we purchased as membership it s that good
Animals are very well looked after but in terms of staff helping and the refreshments they offer that s horrendous. Over priced and rude.
Lovely place to see the animals and always updating and adding new things
Nice zoo perfect for families with small children. Lots of play areas for youngsters and plenty of animals to see
Love it here! Been coming for about 9/10 years! Annual passes are a must for anyone that lives even remotely close with pre school aged children!!!
Great zoo. Well managed. Hard for me personally to appreciate animals in capacity and witness other families allowing their kids to be out of control but all in all, great place for families
We have visited Paradise Park many times over the years and it is always a pleasure to visit again. Many happy memories with my family.
It was good but when it got a bit empty they stop all the talks about the different animals which was a bit disappointing there was people still about????????
Lovely place to visit with children. Not too busy even on a weekend. Entrance is a bit pricey but plenty to see and with play areas to keep entertained for best part of a day. Not too big and never too far from toilet or place to get refreshments.
Just such a lovely place! My son adores animals and everything was so accessible amd flat so he easily walked round. Plenty of things to do and see and the getting to hear a lion roar was very exciting. They have done a fantastic job at ensuring all visitors are kept as safe as possible during this pandemic too. Will always go back to see more
Good place to visit. Lots for the kids to do and see.
Not a wide choice of food available otherwise good place for the little ones.
Lovely animals, lovely nature trail, fun for the kids and adults alike plenty to do... Awesome.Well worth it..
Lovely place to go dinosaurs are really good and friendly staff too and the animals are very easy to see and the park layout is great to
New dinosaur attraction probably makes this place 4 stars otherwise for the animals and size would rate 3 stars
Really nice facility. Loads for the kids. Only thing missing is some decent food. Everything is very fast food, bleugh.
Have always enjoyed our visits. Their current one way system to help people socially distance has been done well, we actually found it more enjoyable as we feel like we didnt miss anything. Plenty to see and the dinosaur Park is a great part of the fun. Love the updates to the animal enclosures.
Lovely day out. Small foot print but lots to see and do.
Did the feed a big cat experience that I had bought for my girlfriends birthday and it was absolutely fantastic our guide was really friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable. We plan on revisiting again I woulve given five stars but the gifts shop was such a let down for such an experience they should've had more ornamental and individualised items rather than just children's toys and teddies. As an add on to the rest of the park the viewing areas where fantastic with see through glass perfect for taking pictures and at different levels being able to view the animals without staring through tiny squares in the bars
Brilliant wildlife park. So many big cats it's amazing. Reasonable price to get in. Animals all look really chilled out and relaxed. Staff are really pleasant and friendly.
A really good day out, especially with young children.
Lovely quiet zoo, we went during winter period so wasn t too busy. An amazing experience getting to pet the meerkats, would definitely go again. I enjoyed going in winter as it felt like you was alone with the animals on the forest as not many people were about!
Such a variety of things to do at Paradise Park, our daughter loved it :)
Quite expensive if paying full price or I would give 5 stars!
Got a new attraction based all about dinosaurs only opened it to the public last weekend. Lots to see and good for the little ones.
great day out, beautiful animals, food in the diner is awful! bring sandwiches!
Unfortunately seemed quite run down, needs a good renovation. Very short staffed at food bar, queued 15i mins for a cup of tea to be told they were not serving tea, you only see this notice when you are at the counter, this notice should have been at the end you start queuing from? One ice cream kiosk had run out of ice cream and only had a couple of choices left! Disappointing
Great for families with small children, who loved it. It's quite a tight site, which can make for a few uncomfortable 'social distancing' moments. The enclosures aren't generally large but they are at a standard more approaching a typical North America wildlife park than the standard fare you get in the UK. The dinosaurs were a massive hit and are pretty impressive. We brought a picnic and so didn't suffer through what others have commented was expensive on-site food. A few bits now look a little tired, and it is pricey, but overall we felt worth it.
Facilities are good and the new Dinosaur section is excellent. It is expensive however with children tickets costing almost as much as adults. Some animal enclosures seem small.
I was quite disappointed with this zoo. Many of the enclosures were far too small (although PWP will tell you they meet all guidelines) which meant some animals such as the snow leopards and jaguars had nowhere to go for privacy. The lion enclosure had minimal vegetation or trees and didn t look very simulating for the animals. The zebra paddock was laughably small with no grass and they looked so sad. Much of the park looked tatty and in need of some TLC. It looks as though it is aimed at children as there are so many rides etc. Food was reasonably priced but quality average and service not much better. This place isn t designed well, with very boring looking and unimaginative enclosures and a lack of plants, flowers and natural beauty. A bit of a depressing place to be honest. If you are looking at visiting a zoo, there are far better options available.
Enjoyable as ever! Shame we didnt know upfront that the Tiger exhibit is closed..but the dinosaurs made up for it! One way system works well (idiots aside). Great to be able to be back to support Paradise :)
Had a lovely day with my husband and 3 grandchildren. But I do think the train and crazy golf should be included in price.Which was a extra 20 pound to do it between us.Park was very clean and staff very polite.my husband was very happy to see footballer Jack Wiltshire there who let us have a photo with him .
Such a wonderful place, the animals are all well looked after, staff are very informative. A great day out.
Place is great for family day out, we have our membership and we cherish it dearly. The only downside of the place is coffee. It is the worst coffee that I have ever experienced. Other than that tons of fun!
