A total disgrace for an international airport. I am flying with flight W64438 to Sofia, Bulgaria. First of all they forgot to update their monitors to show the flight boarding gate for various flights, I couldn't connect with anyone at their call center, it just loops the automated messages. After asking around for information, I somehow managed to overhear the gate number from some other passengers who were also rushing to our flight (no help desk available). There is a general feeling at the airport that the personnel doesnt know what it's doing. They are obviously understaffed, with just one agent boarding our whole flight, who appears unqualified to do her job. Calling around confused to her colleagues, asking for more agents and accessibility officers. I could be more empathetic if this was peak season for Cyprus tourism, but the airport is virtually empty with very few flights. A total disgrace!

Airport, check-in, temperature measurement: everything was fine so far. The departure area is currently being renovated, so not much was up.

However: on our return flight, the suitcases were violently opened by several women and searched for valuables. I'm used to that from the airport in Tunisia and South Africa, but in Cyprus?

Here the staff should be cleaned up urgently! Fortunately, we never have valuables in our suitcases.

Very fast check out. Only 30 minutes from Nicosia - capital of the island

We are pleased to use the airport. Everything is well organized.

Small airport. But food, drink, slot machines, massage chairs, smoking area - everything is there. And even free Wi-Fi (but with authorization).
Airplanes land very interestingly - they fly very low over the water. You can watch and take pictures from the water :)

Nice little airport large choice of products aervice fast enough to get around taxis in large quantity for ayia napa around 50 these taxis are almost all at 6 doors therefore 7 people if not bus for more quantity of people, generally tour operators organize transfers .

Huge lines for non-eu at passport control with only 3 stands of 10 working. No extra personnel added when they see that the line is fully packed. Shame!

My best destination and favorite one. Airport is modern glas steel concrete building with good shopping area. Coffee shop at the east end is beat one here with best coffee inside. Staff and service is very good and most important everything is clean. Parking lot is huge with lot of space for all kind of vehicels. Good impression was care for disables persons from airport staff.

Katerina from the express (?) newspaper shop is the epitome of Greek hospitality and warmth! Thank you for the great moussaka recipe, Katerina! ;) The airport itself is a bit hectic, but everything goes very quickly. Duty free shops are great. You can de-stress while waiting for your flight in one of the many and various caffees and cantinas. All in all, a great little airport and a nice way to say goodbye to beautiful Cyprus.

Clean, well organized airport, quite big building, well communicated with city of Larnaka, helpful staff, clean toilets.

My friend recorded the time between announces about wearing masks, physical distancing and the fresh air inside the airport. 4 minutes and 46 seconds between the announcement packages which included all of the matters stated above. And between the individual announcements about 1-2 minutes. Why the hell is that necessary?! Driving me crazy.

Corona stop. A corona test should do everything empty.

Completely untrained staff when it comes to covid! They don't know what an exemption card and expect you to have hand written letter which is not necessary.

Security staff are rude. Some of the patrolling police men are rude. One was polite though!

Just not knowledgeable and they don't know they shouldn't question an exemption including the B.A check in staff!

Clean but only 2 food places open on departures.
Very disappointed!

Very nice and clean airport.
But the only down side is that they don't have coca cola in the entire food curt, only Pepsi.

Everything is INCREDIBLY expensive here ... not normal

Not very busy, but very efficiently run with all Covid measures, many closed outlets. Certainly impressive

Airport is ok. Smoking room looks like place for homeless under the bridge. Prices pretty high.

Great airport, large area. Located on the seashore, it is interesting to sit in the city on the beach and watch the planes. There are staff who speak Russian. Many different cafes, prices as elsewhere. But I have a question, why does landing / disembarking on Wizz Air take place on foot?

We entered the airport from the uk on the 1st June 2016 in the evening. Clearing security was a complete disaster and took 1 hour and 40 minutes. All the queues were slow but we ended up in the far left queue where they bring anyone who needs to bypass the queue such as anyone who works at the airport, anyone who is in a wheelchair or anyone else deemed unfit to queue. Couple this with the worlds slowest passport guard and we were almost 2 hours to enter the country.
Coming home again on the 8th June and another complete nightmare. We had checked in online but that made no difference. Once we had dropped the bags we were fed into a queue to end all queues. Stage 1 queue for automatic boarding card scan, around 30 minutes... Stage 2 continue the queuing immediately after the boarding card check. Queue for passport check (although they also checked boarding cards again having already checked them by electronic means at stage 1) now if you were unlucky enough to be allocated a queue on the right side (as we were) once through stage 2 you then had to allow anyone who had cleared the queue to your left into the next queue for security ahead of you so stage 2 was close to 50 minutes for us before we were into the clear queue for stage 3 security. Having so many people in the airport you would expect security to be running at full capacity, alas no 1 lane reserved for 'express security' and 1/2 the remaining lanes closed. So in total we were in the 'queue' for the best part of 2 hours.

I will not return to this airport again having been through the utter madness. Clearly under staffed, under resourced with too many flights arriving and departing on a Wednesday night for some reason.

Small airport but very nice and organized.
There are buses to the city center and other cities.

A small cozy airport, when we arrived anywhere we did not stop, passport control passed quickly. On the way back, they also arrived quickly, good duty free, an excellent selection of watches, I was surprised at such a store at a small airport))). The waiting rooms are spacious, enough seating, in general, good !!

Good airport, but there aren't scales for the luggages are free of charge.

It took two and a half hours to get through check in and security. It was ridiculous, if you want to visit Cyprus go by boat

Used to be a good airport but now they are confused and think they are a hospital

Worst airport I ve been to so far, not many options for vegetarians or vegans. Everything is too expensive, things that cost more I don t mind, but every single item completely emptied my wallet. Ridiculous.

You can drink good coffee. Everything is well organized.

Biggest dirt airport !! Zero organization !! Zero respect, we had to stay on the plane for 3 hours without any information, further happening and without food! After that we were allowed to wait another 10 hours at Gate 15 and were lied to non-stop !! Each time ea was called after about 30 minutes there is information, but 30 Cypriot minutes are about 2 hours! For the 13 hours waiting at the airport, there was a 10 euro voucher to buy something to eat, but unfortunately that was only enough for a cold sandwich without a drink! Our suitcases stood in the blazing sun for about 10 hours (photo evidence available). After 13 hours they sent us to a hotel that was 70 kilometers away from the hotel, so drive another hour and wait another hour at the hotel check-in, since we were certainly 100 people. Disorganized at its worst !! No more Cyprus !!
