Papacita's Mexican Restaurant Review

Ate out on the patio today, and I loved it out there. Nice quiet atmosphere!!

I love Papacita's. It was my favorite place to eat 20 years ago before I moved away and it's my favorite now that I live in East Texas again.

Food is average Tex Mex. Service is normal good. Prices are reasonable.

The food was okay. I wish the taste of the food was as good as the decor. Waitress couldn't even get my drink straight and she was condescending.

Chips n salsa are awesome! Fried avacados are amazing!

The main server was really good and took our order well when we went to get our food another server was handing it out the other server was really rude so I asked to speak to a manager and she basically told us that there's nothing she can do about it and was not answering all of out questions I explained to here that we were from out of town and really do not know the menu like the locals and she told us that she had other things to attend too
THAT IS THE LAST TIME I WILL EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE

I had not been here in over 30 years. It did not disappoint!! I tried the crawfish tail enchiladas and they were SO good!!! I'm glad that I had a chance to bring my daughter. Betsy was our server and she is amazing. She was very attentive and super nice!! There was no waiting and things were spaced out nicely!!

Great local place for standard Mexican food. Try "Mama's Rellenos" or "Danny's special" for something unique.
Definitely the best prices among the top three Mexican restaurants in Longview.

I will never go back to this restaurant as long as the server Becks is working that day. How you going to tell a 44 year old man he cant have a drink? As long as I can go in my wallet and pay you must be krazy! The wall was nasty where we were sitting, my food was so nasty I had to spit it out my mouth. Me & my lady got up out of our seats & left didnt look back. The server had a nasty attitude towards us. Management needs to put her on a final warning, show her some people skills.

It was fantastic, the waitress was timely always checking on us in a reasonable amount of time. Pleasant and professional, service was great. Food was delicious, everything expected and then some

A remarkable time had by all.
The Margaritas were tasty and ice cold.
The food was better than normal. In post COVID1
We are all judging our surroundings and so is their staff. All were masked. But I ll tell you the 40 or so people we dined with not one Texan had a mask.

Glad to see people getting back to work!
Toughen up Texas, let s work and spend our money!

if you want some local authentic tex mex then look no further, The food is great the service even better and the price very fair.

The food and service were exceptional. Everyone seemed to be having a joyful time. Didn't have to wait very long for the food. The waiter was on his (A) game. We had a great time.

Fun place for a group to share a meal. Food is great. Service is friendly. Set ups for large group is effortless and comfortable. Definitely a good place for a party.

The waitstaff was amazing. The chicken fajita salad for lunch was not so great. The meat was tough and I didnt care for the green olives in it.

Yes, traveled from DFW to Longview to have lunch with my spouse. Food and service was excellent. Even with this covid19 threatening to keep business closed, restaurants are allowed as long not over crowding. We sat divided area and service was really good and food and menu looked promising. My spouse food was delicious my tortilla soup was just that, nothing overly special and my dish cup tortilla soup and torta. I expect Tortas/sandwich to be delicious, but I wish I'd eating previous dish last time ate there. Tortas not great, was toast one side, other side lacking, both flavor and toasting, this obviously not that Papacita known for.
Usually in Dfw we get nice toasty bun, if using cheese then needs be also melting cheese or queso fresco, lacking mayo, avocado and jalapeno, it had tomatoes that least made sandwich/torta. I also wish instead of tortilla soup that felt bland could been better and maybe the enchiladad soup what should ordered. Most tortilla soups I've eaten have a little chicken, cilantro, a fresh bites avocado cubes, vegetable like a green squash, not rice that seemed just be a filler and tortilla strips obviously make tortilla soup. My spouse's food though was definitely better plate he had fish tacos plate. Now I will say there flour tortilla awesome, that would have me coming back and the beans are delicious, rice good. Service real good. Queso blanco was delicious. Yes, I do plan to go back and try a different dish, like enchiladad play or puff taco and enchilada, fajitas maybe.

We meet friends there and the food was served fast, hot, and tasty! Great atmosphere!

If you want some good texmex, atmosphere, and some great salsa then this the place for you! I've been going here my entire life and it's still just as good. 5 stars!
