This is a friendly, local coffee shop. Fair prices (Starbucks level) and delish offerings and nice snacks to pick from. There's a kid corner in the back where your kiddos can romp and play while you enjoy your cup of Joe. They sell beer too, though I have never had one there and don't know what they offer or their prices on that. This is the place in Woodstock that I go if I need to have a sit down coffee with the kids. It's also the place I sneak to if I need a quiet cup without them.

Coffee was good. Service was bad. Only one barista working. We placed our order, then she took the next couples order. We waited 15 mins as she completed the order for the other couple, then our order. When I mentioned this too her, she said, oh, they are all the same. I thought to myself, No... the couple ordering after us is sitting down with their bagel and two coffees, and we have not gotten ours yet. Its this attitude that ruins a place. I have a feeling she tried to complete both orders at once but failed to get them (or care to get them) in the right order. In any case... when I place an order anywhere, I shouldn t have to worry about who or how many customers are behind me. This was on a busy Saturday afternoon. There should have been more than one person working.

Closed early with no Google notice. I'll come back but that wasn't a good first impression

Edit: Bumped it up a star and might be a 5 after awhile. The staff here is really friendly and the coffee plus prices of said coffee are really good! Love the chill atmosphere the customers create

The best sort of local coffee house, the kind you want near you. Folks of all ages from the neighborhood visit. Neighborhood pride!!! There's lots of room to sit down and work or read. This reminds me of the best old local NW coffee houses - more about the vibe than slick interiors. Worn in and comfy.
You can get beer, smoothies and pastries here as well.
The coffee is very good. They use Caffe D'Arte beans. I enjoy the cold brew. Best of all we're supporting a local business with great personality...and I can get with that!

Wow! Sorry to be making this update . I have been a long time regular, and since trump has been elected there have been a few regular members who are now hostile to everyone who is not white. They have made derogatory comments about Muslims, and they openly tell people not to speak Spanish! When we tell the staff that these racists are offensive they explain that the owner has not empowered them KICK THESE JERKS OUT!

On one occasion they sat within ear shot of a women who was obviously Muslim and made disparaging comments. She was made uncomfortable enough that she eventually asked them to stop, and other customers assisted. These trumpsters continued to provoke and ultimately the staff intervened. The sad part of this is that the trumpsters were back the next day, and the Muslim women has yet to return (that I have seen).

Come on Papaccino s. Make this a HATE FREE COFFEE SHOP!

The baristas are super friendly and welcoming here. Very impressed with the staff and coffee options. First coffee shop that I was not shamed at for asking for a white mocha in Portland. If you re like me and enjoy white mochas and want to support a great local shop, this is the place to go! So impressed with the staff!

Good coffee, cute and nice baristas. Cool bits of artwork all around which I like. Lots of cool comfy couchy chairs to sit in and benches outside. They have a vending machine that spits out tiny dinosaurs for a quarter. Also, the Portland Fish Market is across the street, go get a piece of smoked albacore. Its not that expensive, you won't regret it.

The staff here is really friendly and helpful.coffee is pretty good but a little expensive in my opinion. They also have soda and beer and cider on tap which is pretty interesting. There's a corner for kids to play, which is really awesome. I wasn't too sure about the toys, they looked very dirty. I do really love all of the artwork on the walls.

My favorite coffee shop in Portland. Staff are friendly. They have a punch card for free coffees which is great for regulars. The chai is always a win, you can choose from sweet or spicy or a mixture and they are all different and all good. I also recently tried the Mexican Mocha and it is OUTSTANDING. Definitely a must try. They have pasties, some other breakfast stuff and Henry Higgins bagels too. The quality of the coffee is great and so is the service. Definitely a place to check out.

Polite staff, apparently only male.

Polite staff, apparently only male.
Free wi-fi.
Dogs are not allowed.
Good selection of coffee drinks.
There are sandwiches, boiled eggs and cereals.
That is, the average American breakfast.
There is imported ground coffee for sale.
Enjoyed the cappuccino while sitting at the table on the terrace.

I have great love for mom and pops, but you have to have great customer service to make it worth the extra dime. My experience in this place was horrible and unwelcoming. All over an employee that has the personality of a dirt rock. My 3 year child and I where robbed at 0.25 machine. Since we had no more quarters we asked for reimbursement from the emotionality dead employee. My son and I where met with sighs and scoffs as she dipped her hand into the tip jar. Unwilling she gave but there was no feeling in it or love. Just discuss. I hope this review helps others find a place more loving. Why go to a place where there is no compassionate people.

Terrible service. I asked the cashier if they had oatmilk and was indignantly told "yeah" as if what he really wanted to say was, "duh." I began to tell him what I wanted as he walked away. Another cashier asked me what I wanted, but as I started to repeat my self I was interrupted and coldly told to wait because she's just taking over. After a few swipes on the touchscreen of her register she asked my again what I wanted. I repeated my order a THIRD time -- oatmilk latte.

Both times I went in the customer service was sub par. Not friendly at all. What am I tipping for? Nice large, wide open lobby. Wildly overpriced sandwiches. Fruit smoothie selection is decent.

Papaccino's has a very lovely atmosphere, the Batista's are all very kind and cool to talk to! I've never had an item off of their menu that was anything less than great, they have a local artists section where they put up art from Portland usually underground talent which is so sweet! My personal favourite is their Iced mochas with almond milk!

The coffee house also has a cereal bar, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and beer on tap and bottled. I ordered a 20 oz sugar-free latte (my only other go-to is drip) and had a seat. There were two other drink orders ahead of me, but the wait wasn't very long. There was ample seating, plus a small play area for little java beans to play.

Chill asf. Am a local and have been going here for years. Small, casual, quiet and spacious enough to work without feeling like your intruding on anyone else's space.

Be forewarned for those not familiar with Woodstock- this is a common community meeting place and there are often small children present (There is a small kids section in the back)

After reading some of the reviews for this place, I was excited to try it. Bought some drip coffee (the only reasonable test of the quality of a shop's roast because it's not full of cream and sugar), and was extremely disappointed. It was burned and flavorless; it tasted almost exactly like the crappy coffee you get when you're on an airplane.

I can't speak for their espresso/mocha drinks, but the drip coffee is not recommended.

Great local spot. Good coffee and pastries, a cereal bar (!!!), and personable, fun staff. A good selection of coffee table books to read over, and every time I visit I find another cute sign to enjoy.
