Despite the renovations going on great food and service. It was nice relaxing by the pool with the Park Royal day pass

I bought a day membership (RM55 weekend, RM50 weekday with respective RM33.40/RM37.40 credits to spend at the poolside cafe). I wanted to enjoy the outdoor pool area, the security to leave my belongings while I headed out to the beach to swim.

You get a beach towel and a nice shower area with fresh towels and shampoo with body wash.

There were deck chairs and hammocks to relax on. The selection of meals and drinks were standard expected hotel prices.

I had the burger. The patty was cooked medium-well and they accommodated my request for more salad instead of salad and fries.

The pool is well designed w a kiddies play section with tube slides and other fun stuff. The other pool has a very nice island with plants in the center that breaks the monotony of a pool.

They also had an area cordoned for swimmers (I believe it is to manage the risk of boat and jet ski accidents).

Overall, it was an enjoyable time relaxing with a book.

As described 5 star hotel. Sevice is awesome, view is gorgeous, location is perfect.

From arriving to leaving. My wife and i had 7 wonderful nights there, first time in Penang and certainly wont be our last,already booked room for next year ,thankyou again to all everybody who made our holiday so special.

Nice hotel with nice view, near to night market and there are many activities near to the hotel, swimming in the sea, fishing, BBQ, and more, you can also relax in the beach

we really liked our stay at the park royal in penang, the room and staff were very good, this would have been a 5 star review except the breakfast was just ok but we came to terms with it.

The resort is sweet on the beach side or the old building called the garden is not fit compared to the price

The only perfect things about this hotel is the location, view and the outdoor area. The room was miserable! old and not clean. The bathroom was old and not clean.

Loved everything about the hotel, we were warmly received by the Reciption staff, seamless check-in experience, took the deluxe rooms(twin and double), the rooms were spacious and enough for three people.
Breakfast was very good, especially the Arabic menu crafted by the talented Chef Zachariah which was excellent.
Pools and sliders were great, highly recommended for families. There is also a children s room for leaving your kids for a few of hours between 9am-9pm. However the Indian lady that was in charge of the room on the evening of June 5 was very mean to the children and rude to me. Otherwise the rest of the staff were excellent.

The hotel is nice, the location is good. The food choice is limited but there are plenty of restaurants on the main strip. When we arrived we got a room that clearly someone had smoked in but they quickly changed it for us. The service in the restaurant is poor. Often they look understaffed too. It has been an average stay.

Cosy and nice.. Suitable for couple & family.. The attraction was on the private beach & the pool!!

We stayed here in june 19 as a family holiday for our daughters 16th. We have a wonderful time. The hotel is lovely and clean. Staff are great and smiley. The breakfast well was brilliant and catered of every cuisine, taste. The kids really enjoyed it. Even though the hotel seemed fully booked there was no issue with finding a sun lounger on the grounds. The poolside bar guys were brilliant. They would top up fresh cold water with fruit every couple hours by favourite spots for free. There were complimentary biscuits in lobby with water and board games. The taxis outside were good and didnt try and rip you off and very helpful.
We eat out for dinner as you turn left from hotel all the stalls are set up and long beach had every cuisine you could wish for under one roof. We had the street food and drink and not one day we had a upset tummy as they use filtered water to make the ice tea. Must try. Also the mall was a quick trip up the road for 35-40 rm.
We hired a taxi for 4-5 hours at 20 rm per hour to do the temple and malls. Works out cheaper. We did the water sports via the hotel and not beach as we felt safer. You can bargain on price too.
Overall a great hotel and location was great nice and relaxed but not to far from mall and nearest town.

Very rich and comfortable hotel. The breakfast is also delicious. Front staff was very friendly.

The hotel is amazing! Great beach view, a lot of facilities, the pool is amazing (especially the slides) and the hospitality is splendid! Definitely recommend to other tourists!

The hotel has good scenery but the food serve at the restaurant was sub-standard.

We had organized a get together and the hotel really went out of the way to cater to us ! They were in communication with us over a period of 4 weeks and made sure all details were taken care of !

Just going to attend a wedding held here may be due to school holidays and weekends. There are many tourists, people come and go, and feel noisy. The wedding is divided into two parts, the outdoor and the dinner. Under the arrangement of the hotel, the effect is good.

Lovely hotel directly on the beach. We arrived late at night and were able to order a meal at midnight at the hotel's beautiful Cinnamon Asian Kitchen with such excellent service, so thank you, that was a really great start to our holiday. Two great pools, one is mainly for kids with poolslide and water playzone. Beautiful daily buffet breakfast with freshly squeezed fruit juices. Lobby has band entertainment every night except Tuesday's so have a drink or a nightcap and relax at the end of the day. Step out from hotel directly to night markets and restaurants, all walking distance. Easy access to Georgetown by taxi or bus (busstop directly outside hotel). Parasailing, jetskiing, horseriding, massages all on the beach. Even though it was rainy season it mostly rained at night. Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. Really good destination, would come again to Parkroyal at same time of the year :)

I would like to stay there again. It was particularly pleasant to spend in the chairs around the pool. The breakfast was plentiful, the terrace seating was still nice, and there were plenty of shops in the evening, so I was not troubled.
The sea is dirty and there is a distance to Georgetown, but I was very happy to subtract it.

Nice location, next to beach and near nightly street markets. Spacious grounds between the pool and the beach. Waterslide is surprisingly intense.

Good service and great ambience. Food was okay, room was clean and cozy. requested for king bed in our booking but was given twin room instead. Asked to change room but had to wait and they merged the two beds to make a king bed. Otherwise we had a good stay.

Really nice place, good private beach. Great staff. Strict Covid guidelines. Would have given 5 stars if they had more parking :(

I was pleasantly surprised to see a new renovation. More exclusive & quieter hotel. Very impressed with the changes. Almost like an upgrade! Will definitely come again.

Nice nest to breakaway from the hustle & bustle from KL city! I love the view and adored the scenery of the garden & beach. They also provide a mini waterpark for kids besides the swimming pool. Perfect stay from start to finish. The breakfast buffet spread are variety and delicious. Quite surprise with its super good service as the kitchen also provide one corner of colorful buffets for kids with reachable tables for these kiddos. All in all, excellent experience.

Magnificence If you live, do not think of the aspiration of the beach and aquatic games and tanks and a unit called Nur Muslim is very excellent and know Arabic, and they have a service from 8am to 6pm Free channels beautiful beautiful you take the view of the sea, breakfast 9/10

Uh uh oh beauty of the place and its splendor and service, and memories.
The prices of hotels in Malaysia are higher than those in Thailand and Indonesia. The reason is the high exchange rate of the ringgit with the high taxes there.
I also lived and overlooks the sea with its own private beach, which is a Holiday Inn, and both resorts are beautiful.

Great hotel with a professional and friendly staff. The rooms are very clean and the day to day service is on a very good level. The breakfast buffet is very good and tasty although there is still room for improvement on the case of variety, but all the dishes served where very tasty. The pool facility is very nice, especially the section for the kids. Overall a very strong 4,5 stars. I highly recommend this hotel for a family visit in Penang.

The resort is a luxury resort and is located on the night market and also overlooks the tourist beach where all the maritime activities

I gave 4 stars before. But now one is too much. This is because of the very noisy music and songs which is conducted by the hotel for the new year celebration. We can't take rest or sleep me and my wife because of that. This is a hotel remember, where you should have the rest and sleep comfort. I asked the staff there but there was no answer. Very bad experience.

Not a big international brand name hotel but the service, pool and their own beach is awesome. Remember to play the jet ski and thank me later

Hi..i would like to give credit from the starting my arrival until check out..during arrival,all your staff very friendly and helpful..there was welcoming drink and some cookies for guest.staff parking also very friendly and helpful to find parking for us.breakfast is nice,variety of food.all staff serve really fast.got badminton,pingpong,mini waterpark for toddlers..those want to try swimming pool,u need to bring the swimming suit or otherwise u will just watch the pool..just one cons,the tv provide for us got line on the sreen and can't connect with phone..other than that,a big applause to parkroyal resort staff..

It is the best resort in Penang. I loved it . The staff cared for me as if I was a member of their family or their best friend . I would recommend each and everyone in the whole wide universe to come and stay in this resort . Hope to stay over here the next time I come to Penang. I truly miss the staff.

Located directly on the beach in the best beach in Penang, Patong Penangia, a five star hotel next to the four star hotel, featuring a direct swimming pool, a tennis court and swimming pool nearby, Chinese stalls, all Arab and Indian restaurants, fish restaurants, family restaurants and all services.

Overall resorts is good, nice restaurant and kind staff.

The newly renovated the Cinnamon cafe was nice, but its buffet was horrible. Not much choice and seafood was not even fresh and breads were stale.

Start from Check-in and Check-out process with the hotel staff was easier and good greeting. The hotel itself is great with excellent hygiene, nice decoration, best pool and so on. I'm pretty sure the money shall spend worth on this hotel.
