Palmers has a good menu but my soup was brought to me only luke-warm and I got no crackers or bread with my soup. I did not get enough dressing for my salad and had to ask for more
1st time here, it will not be my last time here. Everything was Great!
Had date night Saturday with my husband and had ab excellent time! Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drink menu. The atmosphere is beautiful, and our food and drinks were excellent! We will definitely go back!
It was very nice food was awesome will be going back real soon
I went for taco week. The shrimp tacos were amazing. I also had a Kentucky mule that was delicious as well. I sat at the bar and got great service from the attentive bar tender.
Great food, great drinks and the patio is a vacation in itself.
Great place to unwind on the weekend and enjoy great food on the patio.
The food was quite good though my steak was pretty tough, as was the price!! The drinks are great, though still too pricey
The service was wonderful but the food was over priced and mashed potatoes were cold
We picked Palmers for date night (our first time there) and it was not a disappointing dinner. Despite the "pandemic" seating and restrictions, we had a great time. The calamari is well made and served with a nice dipping sauce, our appetizer. We each had the flounder and mahi entrees and both were actually amazing. I grew up in hawaii and have much experience with salt water fish and the varied style if preparing them. But, this mahi and flounder was completely delicious. If you like fish, I recommend trying these out. The staff that night were on point and the seating was not too bad outside in the patio. Nice ambiance and dinner environment for couples and family. Enjoy. Be well, be powerful.
Delicious and well displayed cuisines. The service was good too and the waiters were friendly
The food and service at Palmer's are both top notch! It is very noisy, though, so not good for talking over a meal.
Food was great, beautiful atmosphere, and unobtrusive staff. Will definitely be back
Great first time experience visiting, we will be back!
Great patio, good apps... slow service. But who cares, it's a lovely location
Dinners was great Nikki our server gave us some great recombinations we are from out of state but will be in Lexington every month for the next year and will be going back
Great place for dinner, food was excellent, sat outdoors and listened to the live band playing next door.
Came home to visit and was brought to Palmers for my birthday dinner with friends. Very pleased with the atmosphere, service, and food of this place. If you re ever in Lexington or are looking for a good place to eat, I highly recommend Palmers. Thanks again!
Excellent Restaurant. Refills are filled before they empty, largely by people who aren't serving your table. They see you get low, and come over to help. The food is excellent, I have never returned a plate. They are professional but friendly people. I don't believe there is a more enjoyable restaurant in the city.
Great food, great atmosphere, and be sure to ask for Monica as a waitress, she was amazing and on top of everything and very knowledgeable about the food and the new standards for COVID-19. Great experience and most of all safe experience!
Palmers food is good. but lately waiters take 10 minutes just to order drink. recently my wife order a glass of wine, turned out to be vinegary. Waiter was rude and insisted he just opened the bottle.. Staff including the manager did not bother to taste test the bottle. They kept the bottle of vinegary wine for future customers. Most places always give a sample before serving and would have disposed of the wine. Not at palmers just a smart remark and a hateful attitude. Would not even taste it. palmers use to be a better place. If you like vinegary wine and slow service palmers is you kind of place.
I loved my visit to Palmers! I attended a friends birthday dinner here and the meal was amazing! The server was wonderful and rest of the staff very friendly. I loved the food, very flavorful and cooked to perfection! The house wine wasn t bad and I even had a second glass. I love Palmers and will definitely be back!
Rang up on Thursday for a Friday reservation, was told by the waitress that this was ok. Arrived on Friday evening to find out they hadnt booked us a table or even had any record of us ringing in and then told we would have to wait an hour and a half for seating. Won't go back, bad service
Outstanding experience by the Nugents
Worth more than one Michelin star
The food was amazing. Definitely worth the price and the service was great. Fried caprase salad, bacon wrapped scallops and solid burgers.
Fish & chips were very good as well as the cole slaw .
It was nice with decent food. Calamari was really good.
We went on Monday and the food and service were excellent. Our waiter, Jalen, was awesome! He was really friendly and gave great suggestions. I recommend the spicy shrimp lettuce wraps and truffle fries!
Amazing menu and staff. Anything you order will be delicious and worth it. Several amazing beers on tap. Did I mention the food was amazing?
This is a hidden gem. It s a beautiful space inside and there is also a lovely patio/bar space that faces the water fountains creating a relaxed vibe. Oh and let me get to the important part, the cuisine is absolutely scrumptious. The Calamari, tilapia and double wrapped bacon filets were on point. I will be returning and telling all the people!
Palmer's is one of Lexington's best restaurants. Very welcoming staff, great food, and hip atmoshphere
Service and food was great. I enjoyed the live music
Great food and atmosphere. The Bourbon Salted Carmel Bread Pudding is excellent.
We will be back soon.
Not a lot of selections. Expensive. The fried beer battered fishwas over cooked...rubby texture
Really great food, friendly servers, and beautiful surroundings!
I have been living in Lexington for three years, and I can honestly say this is one of the very few restaurants in town that I would like to go back. Tasty fish dishes (with no excess of oil or pepper, as usual), quick service and a wonderful atmosphere.
Perfect date spot for my wife and I. We love the crab cakes
Great outdoor ambience. Awesome seating with a great bar selection.
The most unusual and frustrating Restaurant experience I can recall. While decorated nicely the noise level almost negated conversation. The wait person was totally inexperienced and almost dismissive of us. We ordered drinks and when one of us ordered a Vodka Collins she said she had never heard of such a drink and didn't think the Bartender had either, so our friend changed the order to something that the wait person recognized. Another of us ordered a shot on the rocks with soda back. The drink was delivered after an excessive amount of time totally mixed. When we asked why the soda was not separate, she claimed they did not know what soda back meant.
Most of the food was just OK, but by the time it arrived it was lukewarm and a medium well steak was overdone and dry, plus, the Crabcake was nothing to write home about. On three separate occasions I had to get up from the table and ask for help because of the inattentiveness of the wait person. All in all, a poor performance and a not place we will ever revisit.
very nice restaurant with open patio and good variety of choices. the food prices were medium high but the quality and quantity were very good. the service was excellent
Great restaurant!!!!! So good we went back the second night too.
Loved the seafood and bar drinks but the risotto was a congealed mess. It obviously had been made in advance instead of cooked to order. My advice to management is improve the process for risotto or take it off the menu. That was not risotto.
Food was delicious and not wildly expensive. We loved the patio and getting to feed the ducks!
Who screws up a salad? That was the worst food I've ever eaten! I can't believe this place! I've eaten better food from vending machines!
Great service. Food very enjoyable. Good dining atmosphere.
Delicious food and superb service. Try the mini burgers and the bourbon bread pudding. Ask for Melanie- she is the best servor!!!
Great staff and awesome atmosphere out on the deck when they have love music.
I can't say enough about this place!!! I have always had great food and wonderful service. They carry some of the best bourbons in Kentucky. This is a great place for a date or a get together. The outdoors area is clean and enjoyable to sit and eat. The price is quite reasonable for such excellent food!
I had not been to Palmer's since it was established there. I was very pleasantly surprised with the ambience. A nice band was playing and Rocking The Joint. I also had food and drink there and the service was fast and friendly just like it should be. Add to this the Lakeview and the Beautiful Day and there couldn't be a better place to go.
My daughter ordered scallops for $32.00 and when it arrived at the table there was 4 very small scallops. Very over priced entree. We were about to be served hot bread from oven but our meals were served so we didnt get bread. Beautiful inside but we wont return.
This is my favorite place in Lexington. The salmon is amazing, the atmosphere is great. I love the outdoor seating and the surroundings. The bourbon bread pudding will leave you thinking about for days. Now I have to get some.
Food is excellent. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
The crab hollandaise was
amazing
First time here - Tristan was amazing. So prompt, on top of her game, very attentive.
Food recommendations fantastic. Salmon, and Champagne chicken.
Ask for her when you go!
Excellent flounder dish. A little pricey but quality was excellent.
Nice outside seating and view, especially on a nice evening. Outside tables can seat a max of six only, so don't bring a bigger party.
Staff are friendly and the service was easygoing but attentive.
Truffled Sidewinder Fries are not truffly at all. Burger was a bit overdone.
However, the seafood dishes we had were great. Cocktails we're delicious.
Country club feel to the place. Happy hour was hopping.
Love this place! Food was great along with the atmosphere!
First time @ Palmers, my wife and I took our twin daughters to see Santa. After Santa we made our way to Palmers. The place is very well put together, the service was excepional. Casey our waitress was outstanding! My wife had shrimp and grits, I ordered a Blu Cheese Burger and the food was amazing!!
We definitely plan on going back! We were able to get a window seat and the view was excellent.
Five Stars!
This is my FAVORITE restaurant in Lexington. Hands down!
Good food, nice selections on menu, friendly staff, great view! Reasonable prices.
My friend and I were looking for somewhere to eat/drink and unwind after a wild day at work. We went to two other places before we called Palmers. The other places had 50minute waits, but we just couldn't wait that long. Palmers offered the option of getting a drink while you waited, and it was lovely. We were already feeling better about our day when we got sat in Tristan's section. She was so friendly, and had an immediate way of connecting. She was busy, but still made us feel like she would give us her undivided attention. She happened to overhear a conversation between me and my friend about me being vegetarian, so the menu isn't completely the best option for me (but the drinks and location are beautiful that it is worth it). Anyway, I ordered a simple pasta dish, and she said she overheard that I was vegetarian and she can have them add some roasted vegetables to the dish, and I couldn't have been more thankful. I love veggies, and she was just great about it. I had no idea it was even an option, so I am so grateful she was our person that evening. I've always had great service here, but this went above and beyond. I am glad the other places had ridiculous waits, because this experience was perfect. We will definitely be back!
This was our first visit. The restaurant had extra appeal because it's located next door to the Comedy Off Broadway club. A reservation for 5 on Friday turned out to be unnecessary, but we always gravitate to locations that accept reservations. Our server was friendly, efficient and informative. We made an effort to sample as many things as possible since we live about 75 miles away. We started by sharing the meatball sliders with chips that resembled Chex cereal. If you like flavorful food, this is your spot. Everything is seasoned and very tasty. I had the beer battered fish with coleslaw and fries, my wife chose chicken fettuccine with steamed veggies. She was pleasantly surprised when they granted her request to leave out mushrooms. The meal was topped off with a piece of key lime pie. I had leftover fish the next day for lunch and my wife left with as much food as she had at the restaurant. We'll be back again...especially when the weather warms and they have live music!
The food was disgusting a five-year-old could do better
Atrocious customer service. Will not go back. Waited 30 min to pick up carry out food and it still wasn t ready. No one seemed to know what was going on.
Fish tacos were a fav!! Everything weve tried has been good
What a wonderful evening! Friendly service, excellent food, a lovely setting, and great live music! I highly recommend making this a destination!
