Love this place, been coming here for 12 years straight, the only criticism I can give is the main pool entertainment has been turned down and cant hear Mr Bagus and his show he puts on most days.

Apparently the minority complained too loud, so management muted Mr Bagus. I think the majority loved his witty humor, here s hoping they get the old show back on the road.

Very entertaining.

The best part of the resort is the location and the layout, simply beautiful and well laid out, the food is fine, unfortunately the prices over value the inadequate and unbalanced service. While the food comes with a discount if you have a gym membership, the expensive membership seems to be looked down on by the staff who either ignore you completely or bother endlessly with repetitive inconsequential queries. I stopped eating there and just focused on exercise at the gym but soon was bothered by how the staff at the gym seem to just hang out, play loud music and talk just as loud, also burning overwhelming incense.
I also went to the spa for a few treatments and was surprised that the treatments ran too long and also incomplete.
I believe if they lowered prices the expectations of members would also be reduced.

Good place, nice beach but lot of trash and also to much locals in the streets trying to sell something to you all days. Legian is not a really good place to stay, just for a short time.

Nice place to stay, family-friendly, easy access to the beach and within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shopping places. We really enjoyed the kid's pools and the breakfast. Although, and this is purely because we're so used to Padma Bandung, the place can feel a bit touristy but it's understandable considering its location

The pools and the grounds are stunningly beautiful. It's really big, but this serves more to give you privacy than to overwhelm you. It's next to the beach, which means incredible sunsets every night, but it's detached with adequate security so you don't have the kuta strays all in your business. Excellent restaurant with interesting, diverse buffet options. It's a little far from touristy things, but that's not all bad. Traffic is crazy in this part of Bali, so expect long taxi trips to the airport (an hour or so) and to anything touristy.

Reasonable rooms. Other than those overlooking the slums which we demanded to be moved from. Disgusting that parents think it is okay to smoke around the kids and toddler pool. It should be banned. Kids club old and minimal but very friendly. Food and drinks are at a reasonable price and passable quality. Very noisy if you get a room around kids and lagoon pool. Nice adults only pool overlooking beach. Very poor value for money.

It was a very nice hotel!

It was a very nice hotel!
Not to mention the rooms, the location and the food, but above all, I was impressed by the staff's concern.
I will use it again

READ THIS BEFORE YOU STAY AT THE PADMA!
When you are paying a premium price for a 5 star hotel (I paid 2k for 7 nights during Aug) you expect at least a decent bed. Our room was described as having a King size bed but it wasn t it was two single beds pushed together.
This wasn t in just one room either it was like that all 4 rooms we saw because my parents had the same problem. You can't have a nice sleep with your partner on 2 single beds pushed together because there is a hard lump and gap between the two beds. When I mentioned this to the front desk they replied "but its bigger than king size" but it doesn't matter if you can't actually sleep in the middle.

Rooms service was poor also, we waited over 45min for our food and when we got it is was cold, my dad ordered 4 beers that took an hour, when he eventually got them, they brought the wrong ones, so they took them back, 30min passed so he called again to get a reply "oh do you still want them?"
Not once in the 7 days did we get a turn down service and on one of the days housekeeping missed cleaning the room completely!

I've stayed at lots of 5 star resorts in Thailand, bali, Japan etc, when the rooms are cleaned little things like towel arrangements on the bed, stuff in the bathroom arranged nicely, none of this was done at the Padma, just generic service.

One of the reasons I booked the Padma is the reviews about breakfast, I'm not sure if these other people have stayed at many 5star resorts but the breakfast was poor.
No Coffee service, I mean actual coffee, like a latte etc
The breakfast selection was basic international, Indonesian food with western.
Comparing this to a LOT cheaper 5 star hotel the Marriott, the Marriott beats it hands down.

The staff and security are always friendly and happy to help you, the grounds are immaculate and the gardens are beautiful.
I wouldn't book through the hotel because you get no benefit, go through Luxury escapes or something to get the best deal.

I was disappointed in the Padma and probably won't recommend or return.
For families I d say this place is fantastic, but for couples who are expecting 5 star and have a standard of what to expect I d say stay elsewhere.

It really shouldn t have a 5 star rating it should be 4 Star.

Really a very nice hotel in Kuta/Legian. The room was very well maintained and everything made a new or as good as new impression. We had the luck of an upgrade. The selection at the breakfast buffet in the main house was very good. Besides, one could also have breakfast with sea view by accepting a smaller selection. Even if we did not use it, I can say that the hotel makes a lot of effort regarding the dinner program. I can recommend the hotel in good conscience.

If you come to Bali here! I am allowed to stay in so much. The price is usually not so high as 10,000 yen per person with breakfast included. Adults can enjoy a large pool. There are many kinds of breakfast and it is very delicious. The sunset over the infinity pool is amazing.
When I checked in today, there was a staff who spoke fluent Japanese. Recently there are many Japanese people, so there are 3-4 people who can speak Japanese. You can stay in peace even if you don't speak English. In addition, Padma Resort has a Japanese-compatible LINE, and you can consult in Japanese on LINE if you have any problems.
